Who is the Fed buying the

Who is the Fed buying the treasuries from?

Is it buying them from the federal government or is it buying them on the open market?

It's not clear to me.

I believe it buys them on the open market...

The treasury auctions new debt. Buy 'buying' the debt (at rates above what the 'market' would buy the debt for) the FED drives up the price. In essence it's investing 'our' money in stuff we wouldn't buy thereby increasing demand, and driving up price.

In essence it rigs the price.

It will pay off big time. But only for the banks being rescued from insolvency by the FED and Treasury.

For everyone else with assets valued in dollars, this gamble will not pay off.

I love peter schiff, but lately he had been a little bit cocky because he was right ;) though he have the bragging right to do so. But what happened to that humbled Peter Schiff we saw the the "PS was right video"? He raises his voice way too much and wouldn't let any1 complete before he takes over. Same thing on this radio program, people couldn't finish what they want to ask on this radio show and he cuts them off prematurely. Anyway, I still love the guy, i just hope he'd be more humble like the good doctor. Keep up the good work Mr. Schiff.

i just watched the video and i know what you mean. however, i still love it and schiff. i think its good that he calls out people and takes over more conversation. he is a great speaker, and is great at getting his point across.

who cares if he is getting a 'little cocky' he has earned it in my opinion! and in his second book he says something along the lines of - i assure you bragging rights are not my intention, but i simply state what i have predicted up to this point to help validate my point of view -

Honestly, I've watched this guy for a long time and I'm convinced he either likes to be argumentative for the sake of it, is legally blind and deaf, is a huge bumbling idiot because of something beyond his control, or all of the above.

Actually, I think he's just terribly jealous of Schiff.
