Obama's Non-Answer on 90% Tax

Um, can't find any articles that bear his name, but maybe, um, maybe this one from 1990 is his? Maybe?

Did the fundraiser really go there?

We've all been exposed to psychological conditioning through story telling whether in children's books, cartoons, TV, movies and now the internet. There is a common theme in such "faux hero" stories as Robin Hood, various hero-type pirates as in the Disney portrayals, and many of the newer movies. The poor defying authority steals from the rich and get away with it and live happily ever after.

From the Federal Reserve's perspective this is business as usual. Make the money worthless and people will need more and more of it. Collapse a booming business cycle and the rich rake in the assets. The poor increase and their dream is to get back what was either stolen from them but they know not how or to get for themselves mimicing the rich robber barons. So along comes a Pied Piper with no clothes and the mice go running after.....

I couldn't wait for them to come back from the break. Obama said he had a really good answer to that question.

Then Leno repeated the question about the dangers of Congress being able to decide to go after anyone they feel like and tax the hell out of them just because they didn't like them or what they were doing.

Obaman's "good" response was that he wanted to go back to taxing the rich more. I was waiting for Leno to get him back to answering the original question but he didn't. The audience actually began clapping.

But Obama looked good and was smiling nicely. That's what's important I guess.
