my Dying Grandfather.
to me this still-frame looks like my dying grandfather who i would rather die myself than to see him and his soul leave this Earth. RP won't be around forever and i have watched him like someone beholden in the same way a child would be to a mother (as strange as that sounds).
there is no doubt in my mind that i'll make it his funeral. when he does rest, i'm not sure how i can find direction in the United States. these times scare the @@@@ out of me and i have listened to RP since 2005 to gauge what the true debates should, what the true principles of character should be, and what i should be about. for RP to be so old is a fucking tragic thing for me as i would need someone like him to always be speaking around me to understand what i myself need to be going about, what i need to keep in my mind to REMEMBER because everything is so disposable right now, and need to harness. RP has actually kept me healthy in a weird sort of way.
to sum, i've never registered here because so it's a little too wild here at times, but i'd to reiterate that RP symbolizes what is right to me, and this still-shot really fucking depresses me.
I feel the same way man.

They let him talk again!
How wonderful that Ron Paul is getting time to speak.
I seriously doubt that he will run again. I think he wants to be like Obi-Wan Kenobi guiding Luke Skywalker from the beyond. It's up to the young people to take this bull by the horns.
In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.

RP's "Crystal Ball"!
No doubt; the "Ball" doesn't lie!!
Nice interview
Kiran Chetry - Clear voice, asks good questions, lets Ron talk, respectful. Wish it was like that 2 years ago. Oh well better late then never.
I Heart Ron Paul!!!!!
He better not ever die!

Very good interview
He sounded very concise and direct today. A very good interview. His points came across well, and he looked a little better than usual. Must have been the comfortable chair. We need to have one nearby for him everywhere speaks.

The good Dr. looked very presidential...
Whoever set this up this up, do this again.
I haven't ever seen him look more presidential (in a good way).
Dr. Paul is my president.

Presidential!
I was just thinking that, he does look presidential. I've also noticed that he might be becoming a more effective legislator. Remember there was a bill for getting rid of the Fed. Reserve, then there's a bill to allow competing specie, and now the Audit.
$$$We need to build political strength and political will***
We need to build political strength and political will.
I don't know where he was broadcasting from
but I liked the backdrop, with the flag in the back, and the nice leather chair.
hmmm...What else to say.
How about just cutting loose and just start telling it like it is. He loses people when he continues to repeat the same message over, and over, and over...
He needs to say
"LOOK, These guys are taking your hard earned future, and your childrens hard earned future, and throwing it out the window.
"The guys are spending your future like drunken teenagers with credit cards."
"They are destroying our way of life as we know it, as we speak."
"Have you looked at your 401k recently?"
' Did you know that every man, woman and child, is NOW saddled with 160,000 dollars worth of debt that they didn't ask for in the first place?"
"You cannot solve debt WITH MORE DEBT!!!"
I know he has talked about the Fed, and made some very important points.
BUT
He has got to come up with some simple, easy to understand, HARD HITTING one liners, that grab people by the lapels.
He has got to give them easy to understand solutions, so they can get involved as well.
This "Guns and Butter" type stuff just goes over most peoples heads. He has really got to take advantage of this airtime he is getting, and strike right at the heart of the beast, in a language and set of examples that people can easily relate to.
Instead of "yeah, they did it again, and I've been telling them not to but..."
He has got to start ringing the alarm bell and pointing more fingers, and to me, it just aint happenin'..

I was afraid
he was going to say, "well, I think it's just more of the same." I thought it was pretty good but he needs a dose of Viagra in his neck to keep his head from wobbling around so much when he talks. That head wobble does *not* look presidential. To us it's the issues and philosophy that are paramount but it was not looking or sounding presidential that lost him the most votes during last year's primaries.

I hate to armchair QB the coach
I have a great deal of respect for him.
I don't know about "viagra", but I think a couple of doses of red wine might help.
He likes "reds" doesn't he?
I would like to maybe see him after a couple of glasses, not to where he's impaired, but to where that truth just starts flowing...
I know that is a silly Idea, But I don't know what else to suggest. He obviously has no one protecting him from people like this "Borat" character.
And he obviously has no one to help him arrange his target points in a manner that sounds boring and repetitive.
Before you start flaming, I also don't want him to be a "Slick Willie" type either. I don't think there is EVER any danger of that.
I hate to use BO as an example. But I watched a little portion of his interview on Leno.
The way that he can take things like the Presidential caravan, and explain it out to be a "choo choo" train, so the rest of the public understands it, is a big part of it.
BO, is a master BS'er, but he is effective. His BS must be countered with truth, and solutions in a manner that people can better understand.
I know this is probably a bad example, but I think you get my drift.
I'm afraid that it is even going to hurt his chances being on so much lately, because at least WE, can almost guess what he is going to say, and I guess the MSM, (even though he is probably bringing them ratings), will start to expect that as well.
Sorry if I rambled, I just got home from working, and I have a 102 fever. (No Flu shot ever)
Carry on my fellow patriots.

Agreed!
- Also, the background was...presidential?
You nailed it w/ the phrase, "Guns and Butter." Your criticisims
are very important for our movement. I imagine that Dr. Paul has
had a bad experience with wordsmith/marketing people so he might
just not trust them anymore. And his style of telling the truth has
worked for him--up to a point. ---We, his supporters, also need to
realize that Dr. Paul is not going to transform into a swaggering
political actor/hack (thank God)!---
It would take the right person (maybe a woman?) to reach him
on this issue. I know we are down on Rachel for the Borat thing,
but maybe you could send her your thoughts? And, no, she isn't
the person either--but she would probably understand the issue
and know who could talk to him.

... on all cylinders ... all points.
Right on !
Good interview.... she actually gave him time and listened
I agree that he looks tired and disgusted. I think after predicting all of this for 30 years even HE is amazed at how fast the ship is sinking. Another interesting post here entitled "The Center isn't Holding" should be read as it predicts that the structure is collapsing on itself and if we can hold on there will be a place for us in the rebuilding. GOOD MORNING Daily Paul!

How long can Dr. Paul keep
How long can Dr. Paul keep telling people the truth? How long before he says enough is enough and that he has had it with the clowns?? I am impressed with how much patience Dr. Paul has.
seriously
he is the most patient man on the planet. how could anyone persist for 30 years? i lose my cool with people within ten minutes.
sometimes it hits me how honorable, logical, and just he is.
i just love and respect the man so much. im glad his message is finally catching on. he deserves so much love and appreciation. god bless RP!
Great interview
Now, the primary media needs to be become more serious, and journalistic in their news. Instead of people who have co-opted Paul's message, we need the real truth seekers in our news. For instance, I'd like to see Scott Horton from antiwar radio get more exposure, even if that means no cussing. He's a great interviewer.

Great job Dr. Paul
Glad to see him getting some of the due he deserves, more importantly, the ideas are catching proper hold.

The Read the Bills Act
If you haven't checked out http://www.downsizedc.org/, you should. They have a campaign to pass the "Read the Bills Act" which would require Congress to read bills out loud before voting on them and 7 day advance postings (where do you think Obama got his idea for his campaign promise?).
They have one called the "One Subject at a Time" act which would limit the subject of a bill to one topic, which, if RTBA passed, would even be welcome to the Congress as who wants to hear a 1,000 page bill read out loud?
And, they supported Dr. Paul's Healthcare Freedom bill and some of his others from past sessions.
Now is the time, between elections, to hammer Congress with these issues and to spread the word to others. As Dr. Paul said in the campaign, it's easy to get Congress to change directions, because they always have a finger to the wind.

We've come a long way
The problem with seeing around corners is that it takes a while to build your reputation for being right. The respect from the press is growing.
It's incredible how much more of the spotlight Dr. Paul gets, and amazing how he continues to use it for reaching out to the public instead of saying "I told you so" for his own gain.
"Always good to speak with you..."
