His next scheduled event is for the 28th (the cnn/youtube debate). He's taking a few "family days" and is currently at his home in Texas according to the Alex Jones show.

RP Resting
That's awesome. A few days to rest and contemplate his next couple of months and reflect on the amazing last nine months. I think it will give him the energy he needs to finish the job. They'll be no more rest likely until after Super Tuesday. Florida will start him out right this time! You can bet on it. Time for some sunshine Doc.....we'll have the red carpet ready. I'll be warming up my chanting voice. :)

Hopefully, he's going to take some time out for debate preparation, practice drilling, etc. This has been sorely lacking. He hasn't performed very well in debates (regardless of "winning" the debate by having the most fervent supporters who take the time to vote for him). He really needs to blow the others away in the next debate.
He needs to be confident
I know that RP is a very humble man but he needs to blow his horn a little more. His integrity makes him an oddity in politics and I think many people are craving a truth teller that walks the walk.
Come on Ron, just say (forcefully) that you will be the next president of the United States.

His unprepared answers are one of his most winning traits. He's a man that can say what he means at any time because it is always the same... it's the truth. It may not sound as pretty as some of the others' prepared remarks but it's word that you can take to the grave. This is why I love this man, this is why I want to give everything I can to him. This is a man worth writing books about, worth creating children's songs and lore about, worth studying and debating. He is not a mechanised production like Huck, Rudy, Hillary, Obama. This man is real. True. Statesman. Patriot. President.

He gets too agitated and fumbles his words. He doesn't answer many of the questions posed to him. He doesn't break in when he should. His explanation are too complex for the layman. He doesn't tell the American people his record on voting against taxes, and so on. He's not prepared. He's appealing to we supporters in debates, but he really doesn't appeal to simple minded Joe Sixpack and that's who he needs to appeal to in these debates. His performance leaves much to be desired. People in genaral want someone who seems "together" and on top of things to be the president. It's all about image. If the image is not there, he can't succeed. The masses vote based on emotion.

I have to nicely disagree that Ron Paul does poorly at debating. In fact that is where I got *hypnotized* by him... its the sincerity he has that comes across so well. He is the only one who actually has ANSWERS and this is what makes me so mad when I hear the media say "None of the candidates are supplying answers..." Yeah, thats right, the media has been saying that alot about the candidates Mostly ON TALK SHOWS... everyone seems angry that no one is supplying answers, but Ron Paul does...
So he doesnt seem slick and polished... maybe that is his appeal to people. I would LOVE to see him bi&ch slap Ghouliani though. He could have scored big points by turning to him and saying "are you LAUGHING during my time to talk" and I LOVED THE WAY he handled Romney by saying something like "your turn will come, its MY time to speak" and that shut Romney Up...

You know, libertylady, I think some of us are getting a little punchy, and I know that my last answer that I made in this post could have been seen as sarcastic, too. Hell, I guess it actually WAS sarcastic. And you're absolutely right. There IS no reason to be sarcastic, and I, for one, didn't really mean to sound that way, I was just kind of joking around and a bit giddy because he's doing so well. But I hope that you don't take it personally. Some of us here (myself included) are a bit punchy from overwork. I don't know how in the HELL Dr. Paul DOES it! But to answer your question: I think he's taking a bit of well deserved time off to be with his family before beginning the exhaustive run to his PRESIDENCY! I think he will be preparing for the debates on the 28th. I know it seems like a long time to wait for those of us starving for daily news (guilty!), but he actually IS a human being and needs to take a break!
