Just to clear the air, here's exactly what Beck said on his radio show yesterday.
3-19-09, in his own words, transcripted:
"Now, I believe this profiling is important, because I believe we are in trouble, gang--there are people--you know, for instance, I have said before, some of the Ron Paul supporters are dangerous. How do I know that? Because I have had one of my tour buses-they tried to run me off the road. They surrounded my bus on the highway, and if we hadn't have switched buses--because I happen to have a smart security detail--if I hadn't have switched buses, I would have been on the bus! I was on the other bus...hohohoho! And they surrounded the car--the bus--with their cars, and tried to run it off the road."

Beck just threw Ron Paul supporters under the bus (no pun intended) again. So that people don't have to pick through the posts, I decided to transcript what he said word for word and post it here for easy reading.

There was a lot more to the discussion than this. It is like taking a chapter out of the Bible way out of context. I agree, this wasn't too cool, but it isn't as sinister as it implies here. The whole discussion was very relevant because he was discussing the Missouri edict which talks about us being potential terrorists. He was emphasizing how ludicrous the list was but, by the way...

I don't think it's out of context.
He tossed it in as an afterthought, perhaps to throw statists (or network executives?) who hate Ron Paul supporters a bone.
I don't think he's sinister--I think he owes us an apology.
First he tried to categorize RP followers as "domestic terrorists" himself in 2007.
Then (instead of apologizing to us) when he interviewed Ron Paul for the first time on his show, he whined about death threats and tried to put Dr. Paul on the spot over the issue.
Now he comes out with "profiling is good...because some Ron Paul supporters are dangerous".
Read my previous posts on Beck before today. I have not been a Beck hater nor a Beck accuser. But I resent what he said. I am insulted. We don't need this kind of "help" in the MIAC debate.
If he wants our support he needs to apologize.
