Ron Paul & Chuck Baldwin Threaten Legal Action Against MIAC

The fact that the document clearly constitutes libel and defamation has not gone unnoticed by Chuck Baldwin, Ron Paul and Bob Barr, who have agreed to pursue legal action if the report is not withdrawn.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Class action lawsuit by all who are

libeled and defamed. This is not just the the leaders, but a huge number of patriotic Americans.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

"It’s not like I’m just trying to win and get elected. I’m trying to change the course of history." ~Ron Paul

Agreed, and it should be a massive amount.

We know full well that the source of this document was the Obama Administration, but maybe this is another 'state sovereignty' issue.

Sue the pants off the state of Missouri, and the Governor personally, and make them settle out of court for millions. Each named entity in the MIAC should issue a fiery lawsuit.

LOL, gold prices would

LOL, gold prices would skyrocket.

I just watched the Maher/Oberlin Video

Maher and Oberlin together have already taken the que and began coloring the GOP as a "Tim McVeigh", .. they are saying Hannity doesn't believe what he says... Hannity is doing what he does for the money, but Hannity really doesn't believe, and Rush would sell out in a second..(They are protecting hannity and Beck, and blaming the GOP, like the Ron Paul group who walked Hannity to his studio...expect to see that tape show up in MSM). the GOP supporters are a threat to Obama, the nation and the world. They made the GOP look like Hamas, or Al Qaida... religious armed dangerous...

Ron Paul needs to do something because CNN, HBO cable, is attacking GOP, not anyone else... and here in CA, where marijuana is legal, if Arnold does not sign, as Democrats fear he will not, GOP is going to find the FEMA camps Maher and Oberlin say don't exist, instead, Glen and the GOP are desperate and hopelessly lost at best, and armed and dangerous to the USA.

Yeah... Ron Paul might say, "Well I'm surprized. I thought the GOP had lost their way, but this is all just silly." It's not going to help anyone. If there was a DEATH TO THE GOP march on Washington, it would break records at this point. But, Ron Paul can retire soon... so will he bother? Why should he? GOP really hasn't done much for Ron Paul.

Isn't Rush from Missouri?

To Rush listeners here, maybe an attempt to get on his show tomorrow, especially those of you in MO?

What a horror show. I'd better be careful--I don't live in MO, but I've got two RP bumper stickers and an "End the Fed". Me terrorist for sure.

Another bumper sticker...

Maybe the ADL needs to be sued as well.

I heard they contributed to the "analysis".

ADL Knee Deep In This

This is posted on the ADL website:

“Christian Identity is a religious ideology popular in extreme right-wing circles. Adherents believe that whites of European descent can be traced back to the "Lost Tribes of Israel." Many consider Jews to be the satanic offspring of Eve and the Serpent, while non-whites are "mud peoples" created before Adam and Eve. Its virulent racist and anti-Semitic beliefs are usually accompanied by extreme anti-government sentiments. Despite its small size, Christian Identity influences virtually all white supremacist and extreme anti-government movements. It has also informed criminal behavior ranging from hate crimes to acts of terrorism.”

The first 3 sentences are verbatim what is on page 4 of the MIAC report.

Why is MIAC spreading ADL propaganda?

The best idea I've heard in a long time

Press on, regardless.

Now that I'm a terrorist...

in the eyes of my own gov't for believing in the constitution, I hope somebody will bail me out of gitmo USA for posting comments on this website! Are there any freedom loving lawyers who could help us out if the worst comes to pass?

Theoden: i will not risk open war.
Aragorn: open war is upon you, whether you would risk it or not.

Who is a terrorist?

Well according to Gov. Nixon, Mr. Obama a Constitutional lawyer and anyone who has ever taken an oath to uphold the Constitution must be a terrorist.

If the good Governor wants to see a real live terrorist he should go look in a mirror!

Has John Tate...

announced Dr. Paul's decision on whether or not he intends to pursue a defamation law suit? I would certainly support this legal action with donations and I believe it should most certainly be done. Other out of control local, state and federal government will continue their assault on us and our rights if we don't stop this now and stop it HARD. We cannot let them spin us into the "dangerous militants" in the minds of common people.

I agree Loyal.

It seems Governor Nixon is trying his best to incite a riot and should be exposed big time for it.

What Governor Nixon has done is not to be tolerated. I hope legal action is pressed, since it appears to be an open and shut case. What the MIAC did is outrageous and intolerable.

I SUGGEST that Paul supporters contact Mssrs. Paul, Baldwin and Barr to see if a fund can be established to assist with the legal action. Lawsuits and good attorneys cost money. This is a case for Gerry Spence! He would make mince-meat of Nixon and those behind the document. But his fees are astronomical.

ALSO send copies of the MIAC document to every newspaper, radio and TV station in Missouri and nearby states, urgently requesting an Editorial on the subject. FAX works best. But you must send it to the ASSIGNMENT EDITOR, and not "To whom it may concern." Call up, get a name, send it over.

BUMPERSTICKERS are protected, unless they are obscene. There is a cool site: http://www.makestickers.com/ You can get anything printed and they ship fast. The more you get, the cheaper it is. "Nixon is an Idiot" is good. You can probably think of better ones. Imagine: thousands of Missouri vehicles with bumperstickers, driving around, enjoying their first Amendment rights.

Regardless of what you may think of the ACLU, they do go to bat for causes like this. I bet they have an office in Jefferson City and are also probably aware of the MIAC document. Give them a buzz, or - better yet - go visit them with a copy of it. See what you can do.

TALK RADIO. I am nowhere near Missouri, but I bet there are many talk radio stations and they are probably buzzing with this topic. This is a great time for Paul, Baldwin and Barr supporters to make their voices heard. Jam the phones!

A RALLY in front of the Governor's Office. Peaceful, with flags, signs, buttons. Call the media and get them down there. Make sure many of the attendees have video cameras to make a record. As well, get at least 3 people - far away - also shoot video (referred to as a 'master shot.') These cameras will cover Everything that happens, though not in close-up detail. No violence! Shouting is OK, however!

Missiorians - do NOT let Nixon and his lackeys get away with this stuff. Hold their feet to the fire and do not let up! They can't arrest everybody, and the cases would be thrown out anyway! Let 'em have it!!

Gerry Spence is an old man and out of action

I would be a good replacement. I have bona fides fighting all levels of governments

Sheldon Waxman

I believe you

Sheldon, you are the man for the job.

I heard that Gerry Spence had slowed down to spend time with his wife in his way-too-opulent home (with antlers everywhere), but I didn't know he had stopped taking cases.

If you take this case, it ought to be fun ! It's an easy win, since the Missouri politicians and the MIAC people are obviously dumbells.

Regarding legal funds...

Doesn't the Campaign for Liberty have a lot of money that can be allocated to this purpose?

Bear in mind that the C4L was specifically and prominently targeted in the document, so it would be a perfectly logical use of funds.

Not sure

Kevin, it depends on the legal status of C4L. If it is a not-for-profit organization, then tapping its resources for a 'private' lawsuit might be suspect. Legal advice is needed about this.

But, regardless of where the money comes from, I suggest hiring a really powerful attorney. Gerry Spence may be retired, but Johnny Cochran (or the other O.J. attorney, whose name I cannot recall) might be good. There are wonderful pit bulls with smart suits who will take great pleasure in tearing Governor Nixon a new one.

What about

Vincent Bugliosi

"I don't want to be in a battle . . . but
waiting on the edge of one I can't escape
is even worse"

"I have found that being rich is not about having the most but about needing the least"

Sergeant Joe...

"tap dances" better than little Shirley Temple. Wish he had some gonads.

The irony of it all, is that

The irony of it all, is that it is the MO Governor and police that are the terrorists. But this is the same trick used for centuries. You convince people that the group that is opposing your devious plans is the enemy so the focus shifts away from you.

They use fear and intimidation to coerce people into obedience and stifle opposition. It is a disgrace.

that seems to be the modus operendi

of all rougue governments...they sure won't see themselves as the problem, as they believe they are the center of the universe.

Folks, take this as our queue

Bumper sticker all your cars, if you haven't already done so. I've actually gotten one other person, who's not really a supporter of Ron Paul, to do it because of this report. Unfortunately he lives up North so he's not exactly the target, but it couldn't hurt :)

As well they should...

I think this is worth

I think this is worth fighting. My first thought when this whole thing erupted is that some of my friends and family would think it was true. After thinking it over, I think it is worth all the possible publicity. The whole thing is just an attempt at bullying and it is also unconstitutional.

Remember the GOP convention in St. Paul? It was a police state there. But at our own convention in Minneapolis, there was not a cop in sight that I could see.....just 13,000 plus peaceful, very proud Ron Paul supporters.

and they should take action -
