In the 18th century, unfair taxation by the British Parliament fueled the flames of rebellion in the American colonies. Over 200 years later, a new revolution concerning taxes is gaining ground in the United States.
Currently, 51 members of Congress are co-sponsoring legislation known as the FairTax Act. The bill would allow citizens to keep most of what they earn by eliminating all federal income and payroll-based taxes. Instead, consumers would pay a 23 percent national retail sales tax on new goods and services.
Under the proposal, there would be no more capital gains tax, alternative minimum tax, estate tax, Social Security tax, Medicare tax, gift tax or corporate tax. The IRS would be disbanded and the 16th Amendment, which gives Congress the authority to levy income taxes, would be repealed.

Criminal Tax
This is just another criminal tax to replace the Income tax. Only a fool would vote for this thing, or someone inbed with the corrupt organizations behind it.
It is estimated that around half of those employed do not pay income tax and there is not real way to enforce it on a large scale as to many cases have been lost already which only help further cases of refusing the criminal tax. They know their system is falling apart, It is also estimated that Income tax is 20% or more of a persons income maybe 30%. This "FAIR TAX, Laugh" would tax all purchases hence hitting a hell of a lot more people than the existing income tax. It would put far far more money in the hands of the same criminals.

The problem is not how government gets money. They problem is how much they spend. Goofing around with how they get money does nothing but trick people into thinking their level of spending is fair and ok.

Seems like if the two groups got together....we just might get somewhere....A group of people who want to do away with the IRS and the 16th Amendment - why wouldnt we build a coalition with them?

I am against this although
I am against this although it is better than the IRS but yo tax 22% is insane. Think about it. You buy a house for $100,000 and you will pay a tax of $22,000 so your house only worth $100,000 you now pay $122,000 for. You buy a new car for $20,000 now your car already worth less than $20,000 you will pay almost $25,000 for. This of course are just 2 examples but I think you get the point
If we got rid of the income tax we would stimulate the economy very quickly!

Why I could see myself supporting the "FairTax"
Because getting rid of the IRS and the 16th Amendment are great first steps - also - a very large group of people support the fairtax, and with our added weight we become a steamroller.... working with them on this issue ...our way of seeing things on other issues just might rub off on them a little, or alot - I see this as a great group of people to educate concerning the Federal Reserve System, their weight combined with ours - and we have another steamroller.....

I'm no expert
but not incriminating ourselves with tax returns seems less oppressive to me....and I havent read the book - but am i right that everyone gets a "prebate" check to cover estimated sales taxes at minimum wage earners levels of spending?.....
And it would help every business that has to spend a rediculous amount of money and time just figuring out how much they owe the IRS....that has to add up into the billions....and everyone who pays tax service companies to figure their individual tax...H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt would go bye bye...

We've got school administrators making $500,000 a year off homeowners bullshit tax on property they supposedly own outright. These govt jobs were never meant to be full time gigs.
