Who cares? It's an ad, how many ads in newspapers did they see
until today?
Why you're expecting attention?
Why the Huck haters? If Ron
Why the Huck haters? If Ron Paul was now leading in Iowa we'd get the same level of attention, given his massive increase in the polls he deserves the recent attention - the simple fact is we've not caught on as well as expected. Not sure if it's a product of polling or the message HQ is delivering. Dr. Paul has had more national attention over the last 30 days than the huckster but his supporters actually log of the computer and knock on doors. Most of you would rather bitch about not getting attention for an ad. Look in the mirror - have you been on the street in the last 15 days?????? If not - no bitching. Grassroots in not posting a message its winning the hearts and minds of people.
I think we all know Mike would keep us in the war, further complicate the tax system, and has zero chance at beating HC in 2008 - we've just got to get our acts together, stop focusing on whose out to get us and "teaparties" and get to work!!!
I posted awhile back about polling, huck and whoever
When the MSM had Ron Paul at 0-1% polling I said the closer to the election, the higher his poll numbers would go - for one simple reason Ron Paul actually does have the support and the pollsters that are basically hired by the Military Industrial complex know it - so they don't want to look foolish once people start voting. What they are hoping is that if they put out crappy poll numbers on Paul - his momentum would slow.
See there is no reason Huckabee should have support now, and not earlier lets say in August, it doesn't make sense. The reason is, they wanted to make Fred Thompson the Republican lacky and have him come in as white knight to save the Republican Party - guess what - the American people didn't go with Fred. So now what? Rudy truly doesn't have support at all - his numbers are magical and somehow the Republican powers to be wished that somehow Republicans would go for a Hillary Clinton in a man's body - no such luck. Then their is Mitt - honestly there is no amount of Mitt's money that's going to get him elected - he is also too socially liberal to get the votes even though Mitt says he has changed - nobody believes him and thus his flip flopper namesake. McCain - laugh - I guess the media is voting for him. Tancredo, Hunter - don't have enough money to buy a cab ride. That leaves only one alternative for the Republican power players - Mike Huckabee. Pro Life - at least on paper, Baptist Minister - thats the ticket much better than a Morman. He's in, but could never beat Hillary, but they don't care because Bush is already working with the Clinton's on the transition process.
I said it once and I will say it again, Ron Paul is much higher in the polls than they say. Again, the closer we get to the election, the higher Ron Paul's numbers will climb and they will pretend to oooh and aaah, but in reality he was there the whole time. What you actually have to prepare for is the onslaught of crap that is going to fly out once Ron Paul wins New Hampshire and South Carolina - the establishment is going to act like the world is ending - they will try and pullout everything they can like they did on Pat Buchanan, however Ron Paul is squeaky clean and they
know it, so right now they are putting out trial balloons to see what kinda sticks -so far nothing.
Advertising Takes Time to Work
The "MSM" are on vacation, too. Their juniors are minding the store today.
They'll read the papers, same as everyone else. Give it time.
Has anyone noticed how much better the coverage of rallies is when the local media report? A big rally is news, locally. It is of interest to their local readers and viewers.
Local reporters get their news from MSM, too. At first they parrot what they've heard, but then they come to a rally and interview our candidate.
This is a grass-roots movement. We're working from the ground, up. Give it time and use the fertilizer to our advantage.
Meanwhile, I got another thumbs-up from a stranger yesterday because I was wearing my Ron Paul shirt. I'm in California. We're not really into the election, yet.

Also, unrelated to the USA Today, if you read well into this article on Fox, you will see Ron mentioned in a good light as far as cutting spending and Huckabee dissed for not seeing a tax increase he didn't like!

We understand..
We understand that Huck is now being promoted by the CFR and has sold out.
I've even written to the CFR to tell them we know this.
However, this just means Huck will take votes from Rudy and Mitt and Fred...but not from Ron. And he's got no money.
smarten up and stop saying "MSM"
By calling the ever-shrinking, CFR corporate-controlled propaganda mass media "mainstream" you are using their terminology against yourself (and everyone else). You're empowering the very deception which you're simultaneously trying to defeat. I call them the Dino Media, myself; choose your term, but don't bother attacking them until you decide to stop strengthening them.
Sorry for the negativity dump here, but this is elementary psy-war stuff. We all need to "get" this.

Get active NOW to put Ron in the general election. ronpaul.meetup.com

What is begun in anger, ends in shame.
Huckster took a trip to the
Huckster took a trip to the CFR and gave a speech and they liked it and now, just like with Clinton during his first run, his star is magically rising!
It seems the CFR picks the candidates that we 'get' to choose from. When a candidate decides to 'play ball' with the CFR, they get the treatment that Huckster is getting all of a sudden. If the candidate doesn't play ball with the CFR, they get the treatment that we see Ron Paul getting.
It is the new world order that these people are pushing. Ron Paul will never sign on to promote that agenda.
MSM loves Big Government
MSM loves Big Government candidates, Republican or Democrat, so it's natural they are busy with the huckster. Well, there is this:
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/news-desk/2007/11/20/ron-paul-ba...
RP gets more coverage than Huckabee? I don't think so...
The evening msm news all led with the story of Huckabee
leading Romney in Iowa. And not one peep about Dr Paul.
Sick-en-ing.

MSM
Expecting the mainstream media to carry our campaign is like expecting the federal government to carry our pack for us.
It aint gonna happen.
Did you see this one?
Brainwashing in the media

Or this one?
Why the media hates Ron Paul
http://dailypaul.com/node/8584
You folks..
believe Ron can win? What is your analysis?
I think they are robbing him, you, me, the country. I just see a stone wall from the msm. I am freaking out. Sorry, but everyone is too cool for me.
Gird yourselves
Ron Paul won’t be given a chance. The MSM will take him down if he/you get too far—which you won’t. What matters is that a national populist movement is being born on the Right (this time) and it will eventually start to change the GOP. America needs a crime free GOP that represents true Conservative values. But gird yourselves, it’s going to be a long hard fight.
PS:
If you're mad about what the MSM is doing to your movement then work with others (Progressives) to prevent further media consolidation. The media monopolies are very bad for democracy. Or wait for the market to fix it…..
Me too, Real_CaGeD...think of the people who depend on TV...
Unfortunately much of what's covered on msm is worthless lies.
Also unfortunately many people don't have much access to the outside world via the Net, friends, family, etc. Some people get their election information from broadcast tv. What about them?
I'll tell you what about them, it's why Ron Paul supporters are so frantically trying to spread the word any way they can think of. God help us all.

It's Not Newsworthy
BigJohn is right. It's an ad, not worthy of a news story. Considering his position in the overall race, Paul is receiving an exceptional amount of coverage. He's covered more than Huckabee, who is polling twice what Paul is.
What?
Do I have the huckster tv package or something?
Every time i watch a evening news show, there he is! The huckster all over the place.
Is there not a report that shows each candidates news coverage on tv ?
Huck has been all over the news
Giving the speech at the CFR has done him a world of good! Oops! Should have said giving the speech at the CFR has done him a new world order of good!
You know what,
I dont know what it will take for some people to freak out.
Murdoch pushing clinton, to extend the game. Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton is not a coincedence, thats a dang game plan.
CNN loves Clinton, Fox loves Clinton, meanwhile they push fake conservative neocons down our throats.
The white power donation smear story is a talking point for our guys own party leadership.
The deck is stacked against us, and our man.
Atleast I know I am backing the right candidate!
It can't NOT work.
Remember that millions who were sitting in airports as involuntary guests of the TSA read that full page ad. It will work.
And the business news will carry that story next week I guarantee it. This week was abreviated because of the holiday.
Larry is a trader. They'll cover him.
MSM and the USA Today Ad
It was an awesome ad, and I think many many hundreds of thousands read it. Hopefully it will brings us more supporters and mony - it did get some minor attention in the MSM, but I don't think it was suppose to get a ton. The main thing is that it many many people read it at airports, on planes and in hotels. It was perfect timing and I can assure you that we have gotten a huge amount of support from it.
Why is it newsworthy? It's
Why is it newsworthy? It's an ad in a paper? Big deal....
How about,
a story on the overwhelming grassroots campaign, despite asshole trolls like bigjohn the dweeb?
sorry John, I am p.o.ed
I cant believe everyone is soo freakin laid back as the msm parade the huckster all up in the nations face every night this freaking week.
I've Noticed Too
Huckabee is getting a major push by the media. He's on every news show at night, and he still isn't raising any money.
Did you see the coverage of his appearance in Florida yesterday? There were maybe, maybe 30 people there. His support is a joke, he won't hit $5 million in donations this quarter, and he won't speak anywhere by himself where 1,000 people show up.
There is no doubt that Ron Paul and Barack Obama are the two candidates Americans are most excited about, but don't expect news desks to acknowledge it much.
I am very interested to see if Ron's total domination on YouTube gets even a mention next Wednesday at the debate.
What journalism?
Journalism is dead and it must be recreated by the people and for the people. It is an illusion to believe the corporate media is providing any journalism at all.
US News and World Report
US News and World Report printed the press release as least.
