Demand Freedom and ANSWERS to this CONSPIRACY!
OMG. I'm finding it harder and harder to find my favorite gay midget porn stars on film these days. Has anyone else noticed this? A number of prominent sites are saying the government is up to something. THEY WON'T ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS! Is it because Obama can't prove he's not gay or a midget? Where's his sexual orientation certificate!??!?!?!?!!? This is about OUR FREEDOM EVERYONE!
It's not part of the normal production problems! We all know that after a midget porn film comes out it doesn't take 6 months to shoot another one. These delays are different, as if the government is deliberately not releasing the actors.
What is their purpose? Mind control? Social policy? The weather!?
EXPOSE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE NOT SHEEPLE.
Disclaimer: This above is satire. I'm posting it to make a point. My point is that people need to understand how their fringe ideas (chemtrails, 9/11 truth, obsessive NWO-mongering, Obama is a foreigner, FEMA camps, etc.) look to mainstream Americans who aren't fully on board with the freedom cause. We all need to appreciate the importance of keeping this site (and the freedom movement in general) SEPARATE from our own pet causes. Ron Paul meetups weren't the right place for long speeches about chemtrails, something the campaign had no tangible relationship to. They weren't even the right place to obsess over certain aspects of Dr. Paul's platform in an irresponsible way. For instance, as a Meetup organizer I would not permit someone to go on a ten minute rant about how he appreciates Ron Paul's opinion that prostitution should not be criminalized, if that speaker wanted to give explicit descriptions of his fond run-ins with prostitutes.
In the end, I am glad people are skeptical of their government. I encourage people to investigate their pet issues. Discuss them with your friends, if you think they'd be interested and you won't scare them off. Talk about them on relevant internet message boards. But don't drag them into the campaign. Take steps to ensure that a person's first encounter with the freedom movement isn't some scary voyage to what THEY would consider "the lunatic fringe."
Thanks for reading.

jack...let's change your
jack...let's change your scenario to a more fitting "conspiracy".....
If I looked at the sky and said it is blue....and u looked at the sky and said it was purple.....who would be right? and who would be the conspiracy theorist???
we blue sky people know something funny is going on with 9/11, chemtrails etc...we are not spouting conspiracy stuff....we are stating fact...
you purple sky people refuse to awknoledge the painfully obvious and call the sky purple and then call us conspiracy wackos for even thinking the sky is blue

This thread discussion proves the maturity of this forum.
Jack, you and I have had our differences over the past year. ( I recall particularly my own attempt at ad hominem satire where I referred to you as ‘Orificer Pacman’ to underscore my resentment for the self-deputizing censorship authority your exclusionary viewpoint usurped to gobble posts and topics that didn’t meet your code.) I’m glad neither you nor I have the power to block the expression of ideas here, though, for the very reasons you ably articulate, I would not have liked to see your original title on the active forum topics. I’m not really comfortable with the clever satire you invoke at the top of your post, but I respect your choice all the more because you intelligently develop and set forth your view.
This forum is better without knees jerking. Thankfully, this place has developed into an adult forum. There are other, more basic forums, for the initiate. There may be some further format refinement in the future that might assist your goals of ‘best foot forward’, but I trust the verdict is in on whether prior restraint promotes free exchange in this marketplace of ideas, and happily (from my viewpoint), most weren’t buying it.
Courtesy and diplomacy, which your thread raises, is as topical as any theory one might offer as to why some poster might eschew such sensible considerations if their goal is Truly to promote the communication of important ideas:

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate that you are doing your part to help undermine the CONSPIRACY which would obstruct us from the ANSWERS we seek as we each assume personal responsibility to demand freedom.
With an "ignore" feature, we wouldn't have debates like this.
They have an "ignore" button in chat rooms.
If they had one on The Daily Paul, each user could "filter out" the content they don't want by selecting the screen names of the posters. The beauty of "ignore" is that no moderators would be required and it would personalise the content for each user.
In the absence of an "ignore button", I simply don't open the threads that don't interest me.

Agreed 100%
Most people new to the message will be mortified to hear we support the legalization of drugs, much less the NWO.
While I don't support censoring anything, I do like your approach to bring people in slowly and letting them educate themselves. I'm sure there are tons of people who were interested in this "liberty thing" then came across all the 9/11 stuff and went back to thinking we were nutjobs.

Strawman
There's quite a difference between your example and many of the conspiracies you mentioned.
I don't care if it looks "odd" to the mainstream public. The mainstream public is dumbed down enough to vote for Obama. They will continue to remain in their stupor unless their foundations are shaken. They need to have a reason to desire to educate themselves about what is really going on in the world. Only then can they arrive at and understand the importance of our fight for liberty.
It was my own questions of 9/11 that caused me to first get interested in politics. My relentless questioning of what I believed led me to the Libertarian Party, and eventually I found Ron Paul.
Other than a miracle, 9/11 Truth is the key to victory if you want to have any hope of changing things. Without a mass movement you won't change a thing. Without a reason, you won't have a mass movement. When millions of Americans learn how they have been lied to, deceived, and their friends and family members sent to die in Iraq while their own government dismantles the Bill of Rights, then they have a reason to join a movement.
I Usually Don't Discuss

Thanks Jack,
for your good efforts; I'm with you.
My tiredness will not let me
My tiredness will not let me discuss my opinion on your statement but I will make a point.
This movement is about upholding the constitution and the list goes on and on. You're opinion on "chemtrails" baffles me. True, if one loses their dailypaul.com virginity to person who clearly hasn't done their research, sure it could "scare" them away, but mainly from that topic. If they were a self thinking human being they would understand that not everyone is going to have the same perspective on things. But when weather seeding programs are a proven real thing that has been going on, and neither the media nor government is informing the public about spreading chemicals to affect the atmospher, etc... that is wrong and should not be allowed, which deserves a thread on this forum.
Any newcommer could just as easily click a "relevant to your standards" thread and be turned away. I've done my part in the movement, have you? Besides from my physical efforts I find it very important to bring information that isn't given to the public, here, to my friends, family, and any listeners.
And what really gets me about people with your thinking on this issue is... When is a topic going to be relevant and non-cooky? When CNN reports it? When the New York Times puts it on the front page?
When you look at the bigger picture how many million people support and voted for Obama? They must think all of our ideas are crazy, not just chemtrails (which is proven, only conspiracy to those who are too lazy to call their local weather seeding program and do their on research).

Here's what happened Parkman. All us nutjobs saw Ron Paul
supporters as people who were interested in the truth. Many of us even hung up our "politics is useless" hats for a while and joined-in the campaign full speed. But, we also helped these people down a rabbit hole that goes way deeper than Ron Paul or Washington DC. You can believe it or not, but we are marching toward world government along a path of generated crisises. Ron Paul had no chance at becoming president, why? The Council on Foreign Relations. But that's pure kookery, sorry.

NO longer a 'conspiracy' my friend
When you have that tax cheat Timothy Geithner standing up in front of the CFR saying he was 'open' to the suggestion of having a 'world currency' it is no longer a 'theory'.
I suppose we have Obama's election and immediately doing the bidding of his banker friends, to thank for confirming what we've been saying (some of us elderly people here) for years.

Time-out in the "Lunatic Fringe" room
I suppose I understand you're intent here.
Personally for me, I just got into this mess a few years ago. I've found the DP to be the most informative and intellectual "info clearinghouse" around. I weigh every DP poster's input. The way life is on "instant-karma", it feels as if the depths of hell are live-streaming the news; it is hard to keep up with and is usually uningestible information without first sieving it through a group of trusted friends.
Who really knows what the crap is really going on anymore? Is everybody just paranoid? Nah.
I would never, ever want to "tarnish" Ron Paul. If that means I must be banished, it would at least be considerate to make me a "Lunatic Fringe", "X-Files" or "Needs further research" side-room tab. I'll just go sit there by myself. For Ron Paul I'd do most anything.
I retract 3/4 of my posts before I even post them as I am too southern to purposely ruffle feathers. If I actually get out here and ask something, I need to know. I trust no other friend's response more.
We all have pieces to the puzzle.

Note about edited thread title
The original title of this thread was more provocative, but I completely understand the decision to edit it. Why?
Because "Gay Midget Porn:..." appearing on the top of "Active Forum Topics" list on the main page of the site (You know, the page new visitors to the Daily Paul see?) doesn't make us look good.
In case you haven't figured out where I'm going with this, allow me to shine some light on why I'm OK with what some narrow-minded folks would decry as "OMG censorship u must be in bed with CFR wherez my freedom!?!?!?"
Certain topics not only fail to directly relate to Ron Paul's major policy priorities (e.g. gay midget porn, chemtrails), but they jump right out at you as EXTREME (e.g. gay midget porn, CHEMTRAILS again).
I find thread titles like "9/11 was an inside job" and "Daily chemtrail report" EVERY BIT AS TROUBLING as "Gay Midget Porn Being Censored by Government." In some ways, it concerns me MORE. Someone complaining about censorship of deviant (in my view) porn might be unseemly, but they're probably not a paranoid conspiracy freak.
I am an extremist in the Barry Goldwater sense. The more time goes by, the more I undergo a Joseph Sobran-style evolution toward anarcho-capitalist leanings. But I've arrived there philosophically. People who talk to me might think I have strong views and view me as "radical," but they don't think I'm a nut. However I find it harder and harder to come off as a credible advocate for freedom when the NUTJOBS hijack the Ron Paul movement. I shouldn't have to apologize for them. I shouldn't have to say to friends who aren't on the bandwagon, "Well, not ALL Ron Paul supporters are like that."
Some of you guys make that really hard. Some of you guys are not only scaring away potential "newbies" to the Revolution, but you're pushing folks like me "underground."
I would like to thank the supportive people who spoke up in defense of this thread. It's good to see that there still is a strong "mainstream" strain within the movement that is troubled by the fact that so many are trying to hijack the rEVOLution as a vehicle to promote awareness of 9/11 truth, chemtrails, endtimes, Obama birth certificate issues, etc.
Then don't visit those threads......

So, it's OK for you to come to this thread and be a nay-sayer, but it's not OK for Jack to go to your hallowed thread? Hilarious.

Conspiracies DO exist
It's amazing how MSM indoctrination causes a "slide response" in people upon hearing the word "conspiracy"; causing their brains to go into complete shutdown mode(other words have a similar effect). Funny, because that is not the case in other countries/cultures.
The use of 'conspiracy theory' as a derogatory -- as an epithet almost -- is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it's a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent and other points of view. So now the label "conspiracy theorist" is used to discredit anyone seeking answers.
Conspiracies obviously DO exist otherwise there wouldn't be a word for in it the friggin' English language, nor would they be against the LAW. It is a civil and criminal charge you know. They are actually quite common. They happen all the time. That's why laws against them have been in place for at least a few hundred years. Don't forget, there must be some other underlying crime (or tort in civil law) to get a conspiracy conviction; i.e. conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to defraud, etc.
But fairly recently, in the MSM, the definition seems to be changing from "two or more people working together towards some evil or illegal end" to being associated with tin foil hats, kool aid, paranoia and UFO chasers in an attempt to squash the truth.
Anybody that denies the existence of conspiracies, must be delusional or involved in conspiracies.
Also, the word "theory" has no place next to the word "conspiracy". I have never heard of terms like "Fraud theory", or "Murder theory" thrown around. Someone is accused of a crime, the evidence is presented and they are found guilty or not-guilty. Nowhere in legal procedure is the charge considered a "theory" before it's proven or disproven.
What's even funnier about the propagandists putting the word "theory" behind "conspiracy" (in order to make it seem like by saying "theory" thay can imply that means "non-existent"), is the fact that a theory, outside of mathematics, is a very high level of proof. And obviously these shills think it's ok to call other thing theories like "the theory of evolution", and the "theory of relativity" and believe they are true.
There's no doubt in my mind that IF we could ever get a FAIR trial (which probably would never happen) that we would have no problem coming up with enough evidence to charge Bush/Cheney/Paulson/Rockefeller and the lot of them with conspiracy..along with fraud, treason and a bunch of other stuff.
When you think of the "official story" about 9/11, they are describing a conspiracy; 19+ arabs conspiring to commit murder. It's funny, but the MSM NEVER never uses the word to descibe it that way. I guess they don't want to use the word properly, for fear the public will actually start using it properly. Occasionally you'll hear it in the MSM - like Lil' Kim getting convicted of conspiracy - but it seems we're only allowed to see the little conspiracies, while the big ones committed by big wigs are met with denial and labeled as "theories".
But WE should start using it properly.
In other words, call 'em out when you see them! But remember, something illegal has to have been done.
Therefore, even though some say there was a conspiracy against Ron Paul during the primary, there really wasn't because NOTHING ILLEGAL was done (of course, you make the case that unjust and immoral laws are put into place by the NWO so their activities are technically legal). So you CAN say there was a concerted effort to squash him, but *technically* there was no conspiracy.
However, there seemed to be an effort to fix the vote totals in certain places against RP. Now, THAT would be a conspiracy. Obviously, rigging the vote is against the law (as if we could ever prove that - the NWO crowd would make sure we couldn't).
Sorry this rant was so long, and sorry I have a tendency to repeat what I've said elsewhere.
I'm not debating the legitimacy of your views...
This thread is not to debate whether or not chemtrails exist, what happened on 9/11, where Barack Obama was born, etc.
The point is, true or false, legitimate or illegitimate, we should refrain from bringing up off-topic subjects. If it has nothing to do with Ron Paul, his campaign, his key issues, etc., we should be wary of posting it.
If content is not only "off-topic" but also something that is likely to be viewed negatively by "the man on the street we are sabotaging the movement by posting it here.
People, you have to come to your senses. You have to know that your ideas are viewed as "loopy." I'm not saying they ARE loopy. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm not saying people SHOULD laugh at you. But they DO. You can't change these mindsets through brute force. All you can do is contaminate a SEPARATE movement in addition to your own, and draw even MORE negative attention to yourselves.
The man on the street isn't going around looking for chemtrails websites. He's not viewing you with disdain. But he hears about Ron Paul from his nephew or through a bumper sticker, and he winds up here. Now, he reads these off-topic threads about vaccines and chemtrails and 9/11 and he gains a negative view of you he never would've had because you are NOT effective spokespersons for your ideas and you are purveying them in the wrong place. In addition, he thinks "the Ron Paul people are nuts" because a select few of you have hijacked the movement as a vehicle to voice your agenda.

You are not alone Parkman. You have basically covered the reasons why I don't suggest the DP to my friends. I come here like the "3 Weeker" below to tread through the KooKoos for the nugets of good info. that gets buried in the mess.
Explain how talking about
Explain how talking about weather seeding programs that spread chemicals over land and clouds to change atmospheric conditions (weather modification) and farmland behavior, is "kookoo". Feel free to call your local environmental agencies and ask them about such activities, or find out your states weather seeding program(s) and ask about what they do.
As I said before, what will it take for something not to be "kookoo"? Will CNN have to cover it? Newspapers? Sorry those are all controlled. Will Ron Paul have to make a statement about it for you just to believe something? Use your mind and don't rely on others to form your opinions, even if he is the great Ron Paul.
"One man with courage is a majority." ~ Andrew Jackson
No one can even discuss this
No one can even discuss this in a decent manner. No one against this stuff has said anything mean, but the STFU kind of comments show how much some of you really believe in liberty and freedom. This is more than video of Ron Paul saying he thinks 9/11 was a retaliation from the Arabs against our finanical policies and the way we do things and that it wasn't an inside job. So people take it upon themselves to say Ron Paul believes in 9/11, he just can't say it. So nice of them to draw those conclusions all on their own.
9/11 was BLOWBACK, not an inside job.

Thank you for this thread...
I have tried in my own small way to say the same thing on a number of occasions.
This is such common sense that you wonder why it should be necessary to make such a point.
To me it seems like telling people, "When you go door-to-door handing out Ron Paul pamphlets, don't tromp through flower beds or pee on mailboxes."
But have no fear, the yammerheads and CFR moles will flame you for being against "free speech".
(Which makes about as much sense as accusing someone who objects to drunk driving as being for Prohibition.)
