Mourning Our Loss in the Ron Paul Community
Friends,
Adrian Cotton wrote me with the tragic news that the recent plane crash in Butte that claimed the lives of 14 people included major supporters of Ron Paul. The owner of the plane was Bud Feldkamp, a donor and big supporter to Ron Paul's presidential campaign as well as the Daily Paul. Bud introduced his family to Dr. Paul and the Revolution, which, like the rest of us, was a big part of all of their lives over the past two years.
His daughter Dr. Vanessa Pullen, a pediatrician from Galt, California was a huge supporter of Ron Paul in her area, and also attended the Rally for the Republic in Minnesota. Amy Jacobson from St Helena, California was also a Ron Paul supporter - the two sisters Amy and Vanessa along with the rest of the family also attended the Revolution March and Rally in Washington DC last July.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Bud and the entire family.

It so sad.....
I can only hope that those that knew them best somehow stay positive and happy.... that is what they would most wish, I am sure. LIVE life twice as much FOR those now lost.

Our community has lost true patriots and we are saddened by it.
They still live in spirit.
I think many things normally obscured become clear to us when we are pure spirit. I wonder how they view the revolution and the direction of our country now. Sorry to lose them on this plane of existence but maybe they are there for us on the next.

How tragic and heartbreaking

In a way I am grateful that these lovely young families could join God together at the same time. . . so that none of the little ones had to live alone for many years, longing to be united.

The last post is not very respectful. My question however somewhat deals with that issue. The first I heard of this tragic death was from an anti-abortion newsletter I'm signed up to (JillStancheck.com) and I learned the rash was near an abortion cemetary? (I think is what they called it). Then I come on here and see this side of it.
It just brought up a question, not relevant at all to the case above, but I wanted to ask...I guess I just dont get how one can support Ron and yet be against such a fundamental issue in human rights? Is anyone else here a Ron Paul supporter who is ok with abortion? If so, how would you debate your views against Ron Paul's? Love to hear. I'd like us to be called an anti-taking life party...

I don't think this is an appropriate place to debate this issue, I feel very sad for all members of the Ron Paul supporter family that suffered in this crash. My heart goes out to their families.
I can't help myself though... I'm a huge Ron Paul supporter, but my life experiences, that I would guess even Dr. Paul has not been through, with significant others has actually made me for many reasons, a pro-choicer, under certain circumstances. I'd love to debate Dr. Paul on this topic in my living room, I'd invite it... but I won't spare the forum the arguments.
But remember a Revolution only gains momentum when we can accept that not everybody agrees with EVERYTHING of our platform but in aggregate we agree on the most important things.
Long story short, you are not alone... we don't have to agree on everything and in the end we can still be successful.

Can you tell me who died in this crash then? Is it the entire family, all 3? it is unclear from the article and people have asked questions in these comments before mine and get no reply because a few people jump on them and regulate what is appropriate and what is not. It's much easier to pray for the survivors and victims if you know who exactly they are. I'm a new member on here and I dont think my comment was out of line at all. I just wanted to clear up the information, because I don't think the claim is even legit and it is not right to claim the guy was an abortionist, if he wasn't. I think that's respectful, but whatever. I wont comment anymore . I think it would be nice if you just let the comments flow.

I apologize if I insulted you. I was trying to keep the focus on this post to sending condolences and kind thoughts. Any discussion of controversy on any other subject should be brought up in a completely separate, new post. That's what I was suggesting.
All of these families died. Very tragic. They have a lot of family and friends that are in a tremendous amount of pain. Some of them may come to this site and see what has been said here for them. So, I just don't want any more pain to come their way.

Your timing might suck but there sure seems to be a hard
message in all this.
As Libertarians we defend all life. We either do or we don't.
And it just seems to me that if a person supports his family at the expense of defensless precious lives -- he ain't employed or in partnership with the Creator.
He is partnership with the Deceiver. And the Deceiver is a ruthless master who does not have the power to take a life, but he sure can distract and deceive enough to lead the one who is distracted and deceived to destruction.
I speak from personal experience unfortunately.

We do not wrestle against flesh and blood (this means other people). The battle is not against another person but is against spiritual wickedness. I defend freedom of choice . . . and I am a libertarian too. Not all life deserves defense (i.e. Hitler etc.) and not all of us are anti-choice. I think its up to each person to make their own decisions and unless they directly affect me, then each person has the freedom to do as they please. It is not up to me to judge another's actions.
