Jefferson City — A report about modern militia activity will no longer be
distributed to Missouri law enforcement officers after receiving nationwide
criticism that it contains political profiling.
The decision came Wednesday, hours after Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder called for
Department of Public Safety Director John Britt to be placed on leave because
of the report, which said followers of third-party political candidates might
be militia members.

who cares if they rescind it? it's a symbolic victory, but the damage has been done. we need to find out who wrote the report (with the help of whom), and start asking questions as to how many other states released similar reports?

Many of you are missing the BIG picture here! The 'Fusion Center in Missouri is just ONE of 70 nationwide! The document is just ONE document that happened to be leaked! They share databases NATIONALLY on federal and state levels!
These centers have recieved funding from the DHS to the tune of $327 million dollars which trickles down to the state and local police, sherriff, state patrol and other agencies which like the idea of getting some of this funding! They need to justify thier funding,activities and purpose by demonizing groups as potential ' domestic terrorists'
But the problem is the 'Fusion Centers' DHS, FBI, NSA etc..cannot serve two masters: it cannot both serve the Constitution and get into the domestic intelligence trenches. Political speech is supposed to be the MOST protected speech under the 1st ammendment!
ACLU and EPIC have documented many cases and filed suits due to over-zealous intelligence gathering due to these fusion centers! In some states the DHS is fighting to have fusion centers exempt from 'Freedom Of Information Act' (FOIA) which, if successful, would then allow no oversight and no recourse for any group or individual to contest abuse!
Under the 911 act the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, Loss of Habeus Corpus and the other hideous acts that Bush put in place ...they may well succeed! Please understand..this gives them complete and absolute control over YOU!!
While we have some media coverage, public awareness and outrage on this ...we need to take the opportunity to keep pushing it into the open!

I agree about the police state. However, it's not just something that happened over night. These elitists thugs have created the UCC court systems. Where it's all about extortion and has nothing to do with justice. You can talk till your blue in the face about the police state to ppl, but first you have to make ppl understand they have NO rights, which LEADS to a police state. They need to understand that their courts systems do not recognize constitutional liberties/rights. What we have are COMMERCIAL courts. People have an indoctrinated belief, that no matter what, they have RIGHTS, especially within the courts. The average American has no idea about the UCC or even what it means. In order to make them understand about the police state you must first explain to them about the UCC, then on to the "police state." If not, your putting the cart before the horse. Otherwise, they will just think that it's all about terrorism or some other jacked up story and try to justify the situation.

What I really want them to understand is the scope and purpose of the fusion centers, who is behind it, and the cases of abuse documented!

IMHO It's a limp attempt at defusing and mollifying...
because they know if someone has the cojones to take it further they could really find themselves in countless lawsuits! That is the only reason they are apologizing..they are hoping to avoid further damage!!

Two stories came out at the same time regarding the psycho AJ.
one was this story.
The other was AJ claiming that the FBI was calling him and hounding him about the release of the trash video that is nothing but propaganda about Obama.

I was a little skeptical about the report as well, and the backlash that ensued justified my skepticism. I thought it was rediculous as does most everyone, especially now that it has been proven.
