This is cool! Bachmann bill would ban global currency

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has introduced legislation that would "bar the dollar from being replace by any foreign currency." A statement from Bachmann's website:

“Yesterday, during a Financial Services Committee hearing, I asked Secretary Geithner if he would denounce efforts to move towards a global currency and he answered unequivocally that he would," said Bachmann. "And President Obama gave the nation the same assurances. But just a day later, Secretary Geithner has left the option on the table. I want to know which it is. The American people deserve to know."

On Monday, Geithner and Bernanke both rejected the idea of a global currency in Congressional testimony. But in remarks to the Council on Foreign Relations yesterday, Geithner indicated he was open to the idea.

I have to admit I was a little disgusted that Dr. Paul endorsed Bachmann through the Republican Liberty PAC. However, this quid pro quo arrangement seems to have worked out beautifully. We gave her the support of freedom loving minnesotans, and she's giving us another weapon against the elitists.

This will ban the dollar being replaced not the creation of an international reserve currency.... no one is saying the dollar will go away, they want a new international currency that will be used to settle accounts between countries and banks... we will never see that currency but it will determine the value of your dollar...

this bill will not prevent that from occurring...

It can be amended by police, citizens and concerned americans to include "any and all institutions, whether credit or debit, debt or debt wage programs to be hereby disapproved from forming an international monetary currency"

Something to that effect....

This may slow Geithner and the Globalists down, but it will not stop Rockefeller from TWISTING THE LAWS when no one is looking to allow an international dollar to replace everything....

"Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to prohibit the President from entering into a treaty or other international agreement that would provide for the United States to adopt as legal tender in the United States a currency issued by an entity other than the United States."
Technically, we could bring back the "greenback"

The New Currency

will not be "legal tender" in the US. Right now the dollar is what all transaction globally settle in. What they are proposing is a new currency that will act as the reserve or settlement currency for countries and international banks...

This new currency will not be used by common people to buy goods but it will be used by banks and countries to settle accounts and set trade values... the IMF has a system like this now but it is dollar based... the new currency would replace the dollar in that capacity only... its actually much worse since we will never have access to this currency but it will set the values of all international currencies...

Tim Geithner and the Federal Reserve are LYING in that they will implement a global currency standard such as SDR when it is immediately available, and Obama who is against this, will ALLOW them to do so or else he'll be impeached!!!!

Geithner has no intention of dropping the move to Global currency, this has been in their plans for ages.

Stop these mad men RIGHT NOW!!!!! We will NOT accept the terms of a global government, a new global currency, and CONGRESS must fight to bring the Federal Reserve under control!!!!

She should be trying to try Bernanke and Geithner for treason and counterfitting. We shouldn't support this bill because it might have the unintended consequences of not letting us have competing currencies within our system.

with the Feds dollar than if you "bar the dollar from being replace by any foreign currency." I know the word foreign is in the wording but is that saying only the kings currency can be used.
