This is a bad idea.
It's replacing a pile of poop with a pile of dung.

Ya, no thx to this socialism...
Not sure why people on this site are recommending things that go against the very principles that we stand for...
Just Say NO!!!
Just Say NO to Monopoly paper money! For those of you who think Lincoln unlocked the "seceret" to Government Paper Monopoly with his "Green Back".see "The Panic of 1871". No Government ever in the history of man has been able to resist the temptation of debasing the peoples money. Just say No to monopolies of any sort and let the free market decide!
Exactly...these monetary socialists
are crazy.
ps. Bmorebrawler, you were skeptical of me in a another thread when I said that there was monetary socialists on the DP. Here you go!
I enjoyed watching this-
Enlightening and thanks for sharing. It is rare that I forward political information, however I plan to do so between personal friends and acquaintances.
Hopefully many of these vital ideas will be soon tested. Perhaps Dr. Paul might be equally interested and Mr. Cook will be the economic Edison of future times?
Genius Plan!
I found this series of videos to be like a breath of hope. The ideas and solutions presented were well thought out and had my mind racing with the endless possibility's of release of this burden of perpetual debt interest we have all had to endure for are entire lives in some form or another. These Ideas are radical to be sure, but they would truly set us free. A National Dividend would be a excellent change from some of the systems we have in place now. It would be a continual boost to the economy as a whole and a good thing for the social fabric of this nation. I can only see good in allowing the freedom of choice of woman/men to stay home with their children, care for their parents, volunteer or just create, invent and dream. Pie in the sky? Welfare State? Unworkable? Socialistic? Utopian nightmare? Maybe, but I for one hate being a debt slave, and I hate that it is my daughters fate also. This is the Change I want to see, this is the true Big Idea.
Agreed
Practically, what other options are there which historically haven't been disproved?
I believe this model is 'the idea whose time has come' of which Dr. Paul so eloquently refers
excerpt:
The “Cook Plan” calls for the initial distribution of vouchers in the amount of $1,000 a month plus a new system of community savings banks. Greenbacks combined with a National Dividend will create a non-inflationary democratic currency and transform the economy of the United States.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
