How much more of our freedom will die before you will do more than just talk?
Today our President saw fit to fire the CEO of a major publicly traded U.S. corporation. Such power usually resides only in the hands of a company’s stockholders or a fascist government. And what of GM’s stockholders, have they no say in who will run their company?
The President believes that he has this power because GM accepted our bailout money. But then again so has the State of Oklahoma…are we to be next? Has your state accepted the Federal Government's bailout money as well? When our Governors or legislatures refuses to toe- the-line of the President’s plans are they to be so easily “asked” to step down as well? In the last six months, we have watched our congress vote for socialism and involuntary servitude. We have watched them pass ex post facto laws and bills of attainder, both of which are strictly forbidden by the Constitution. Now we have watched our President usurp the legitimate voice of stockholders like you and take us on the first steps to fascism while targeting private citizens for speaking out against these tyrannies.
What other liberties will you allow them to take before you answer my call to come out and defend yourselves? Our republic is on its deathbed and the President and the Congress are ripping our constitution apart and the freedom handed down to us by our ancestors is about to fail. We have but one chance to avert this disaster…we must reseat a new Congress filled with Constitutional Conservatives, regardless of party, in 2010 and 2012.
It will take our combined resources to get this message out on every media outlet that will carry it. It will take your donations to overcome the entrenched incumbents and their lobbyist money to get Constitutional Conservatives elected in this next cycle. Your freedom must be defended with your money and your blood and with your lives if necessary. But I will not ask of you that which I will not give. Therefore, I will take the last of my campaign seed money and buy ads on the radio to inform as many Oklahomans as possible about this plan to retake our congress and restore our republic. If we don’t fight back now we will wake up slaves in the land our fathers settled.

2010 - 2012?
I don't understand how can we wait for another phony election. If we the people were commiting crimes right in front of our own communities do we get to continue the crime despite everyone seeing it? This is so insane, I know we are battling the military industrial complex with all the bankers money. I emailed all my reps here in NY to no avail, even S604 is being neglected. I also emailed Congresswoman Slaughter to thank her even though she is not my rep. These two movies need to go viral; "In Lies We Trust" and "The Obama Deception" Neither are pro left or right. Just truth and facts!
We are just at the beginning of the crisis period that will end
with violence. It may seem like a long time for the end to come, but in relative terms it is just around the corner; 15 years would not be an unexpected length of time for the crisis period before the lid blows. This system of plunder and control has been around a very long time, but the pain and suffering still are not sufficient to justify the pain and suffering of violent confrontation. Plus most importantly, our masters still control the minds of the allegiant majority.
Anger and resentment toward government will grow. Men like Ron Paul hopefully will be successful in curing those minds so heavily infected with collectivism.

Ideas for the Big Picture
Here is a hypothetical situation:
Is it possible for a group of high ranking military officials, in support of the liberty movement, to stage a military coup of the federal government? It could put a freeze on all of the anti-liberty legislation and give us a chance to have emergency elections in which we would clean house of the entire federal government.
There is so much talk on the internet about the different branches of our *messed* up government, but little talk about the military and how they fit in to this picture. Undoubtedly the military has been the enabler of all of the foreign shit storms we have gotten into, but there are also many members of the military who have a strong love of liberty and the constitution, but still believe serving the federal government and the country is one and the same.
At what point would something like this be feasible (if at all)?

a natural disaster is going to hit the usa next year of unthinkable magnitude which will bring the military out -- fully. everywhere.

I'm reposting this from below, because it applies to the main thread just as much as the response. Please, before passing judgment or censorship on this, read it in it's entirety, especially the last sentence. This is a touchy subject, and very difficult to speak of in the context of the original post above without 'appearing' to say things which may be construed as legally 'iffy.'

As for 'action' my point was that I no longer believe a political solution is possible. I've tried to work that angle and the obstacles are simply too great. TPTB have designed it such that unless you are one evil corrupt SOB, you aren't getting anywhere close. But then you can't buck the system, nor do you want to. For the rest of us, the game is rigged. It's an exclusive club, and you are not in it. Anyone who could get in, is NOT a member of this board. Else they would be using their means and connections to make things happen out there in the real world, rather than talking about it on here.

I find it quite ironic (to put it nicely) that the original poster is chastising people for only 'talking' and not 'doing' anything, and yet the thing he is doing is 'talking' about 'getting riled up' and 'making things happen' via 'elections' which in all honesty is simply more talk.
We can't solve this with pleading, supplication, begging, oratory, discourse, petition, etc. Every criminal in government must, I repeat MUST be brought to justice. This could happen very peacefully, but it will not. The fact that it won't has nothing to do with the intentions of any of "the people" and everything to do with the abject lack of all morality and conscience on the part of the criminals in government themselves. The very people who are charged with bringing criminals to justice, are themselves, the very criminals who should be exposed and punished.
It is not that I advocate violent means of change, not at all. I simply recognize that the peaceful means are entirely in the hands of the very people who must be removed from government. The choice is theirs, not ours. (nor should we make that choice)
This does not mean that we must harm anyone. What will need to happen very soon is that large groups of "the people" or "general militia" aka - average joe six pack citizens, must show up in overwhelming numbers, arms at the ready, and place the criminals under arrest - ALL of them, preferably at once.
If there be no civil courts left to function after the arrests, then and only then, should attempts be made to constitute common law grand juries, hand down indictments, and begin trials, followed by sentencing.
If there is any resistance to the arrests, then the people need to be prepared to use their arms in defense of their liberty, their property, and their security. It is their right and DUTY to do so.
Police do not generally start their shift with the intention of killing someone when attempting to affect an arrest. But they are prepared to do so if need be. They are prepared to use all manner of force possible short of lethal, and usually have to - such is the nature of criminals and their refusal to submit to justice. But occasionally, criminals attempt to assault the arresting officer with lethal force, and so it is responded to in kind - under the doctrine of self defense.
Our case is similar to this in many respects, but also very different. While lethal force is never desirable or advocated, it remains 'on the table' if no lesser remedy exists. It is either that, or be a slave.
Let me be clear, in my opinion the time for talk is over, and now is the time to effect justice. Criminals in government must be arrested and brought before the courts. If police and sheriffs refuse to arrest, if district attorneys and attorneys general refuse to seek indictments, if judges attempt to subvert both substantive and procedural due process, then they too should be subject to arrest. This should be accomplished in as peaceful a manner, as the criminals themselves allow us to. But under no circumstances should these tyrants be allowed to continue their crimes, nor to threaten the lives, property, and liberty of the people one more day.
It is my sincere hope and prayer that if there are any true patriots left in government, if there are any moral and upstanding members of the police forces, sheriffs departments, justice departments, judicial benches, etc., that THEY do their DUTY under the law and under their oath of office and responsibility of their office and bring all government criminals to justice by arresting, indicting, and trying them in open court. (and upon conviction, punishing accordingly to the law)
If they do not, then when "the people" in my town have had enough and attempt to do so themselves, I will join them. But I will not incite, or start this fight.

Well, I got banned yest. and then un-banned today, so it looks like this post may be the conclusion for this blog. So I'll say this was great blog as it gave opportunity to vent on what's going on for what Ron Paul (RP) is doing right and where it might be improved.
Herewith then I propose Paulites are poised for victory by means of (a) MIGHTY WEAPON of CONCRETE vision--not mere intellectual abstractions--and (b) a most excellent, juicy, and vulnerable TARGET weak-point at which to aim and strike.
RP is doing quite a bit right, undoubtedly--but note so far it's mainly INTELLECTUALS who are carrying the movement. Thus RP movement only has to broaden for wider appeal--this by means of CONCRETE vision regarding COUNTERFEIT conspiracy for Fed (see RealityZone.com).
For "printing money out of thin air," and "inflation" are gross abstractions difficult to fully or even partially understand for 90 % of people, but EVEN CHILDREN understand CONCRETE "counterfeiting"--there's no doubt what that is.
And counterfeiting then is key for everything else practically--it bribes and terrorizes the politicians, judges, and bureaucrats, it buys the mass-corporate "News-media" and Hollywood entertainment, and it's behind the public education thought-control too.
The students counter-reaction to this gross thought-control is surely the greatest inspiration we presently have--they are NOT fooled too much.
Thus, by means of counterfeiting, people are lulled into a false consciousness and "prosperity" (MAMMON delusion/heresy), this anchored by the phony "moralism" of lies which they imagine creates truth. But TRUTH must always come ahead of and above "morality," the only proper and appropriate morality then being HONESTY which must always come first ahead of any other "moralism."
Truth then only needs OBJECTIVITY as necessary criterion, lies always founded in subjectivity--esp. "moralism," as of Immanuel Kant. In largest sense, the RP movement is one of objectivity vs. subjectivity--parallel with Christian TRUTH vs. lies.
Personally, I'd only emphasize and remind people that we should ALWAYS remember those magnificent early, original Christians who showed HOW to do it. For ultimately nothing is more powerful than getting out and PREACHING, person to person.
Otherwise, note the general CYCLIC nature of history: the counterfeiters are simply criminal parasites, and eventually these parasites will destroy the host/victim whence the "weak fall by the wayside," unfortunately. Now the healthy survivors must simply heed to the truth as anti-dote.
And again, remember ultimately, the counterfeit conspirators are simply criminal parasites--there's no real ideologic mystery--they're just consummate, pathologic liars, that's all. Barack Obama is correct. But this problem is easy; simply don't take the bailout (neither the company nor the state)! Be accountable for your actions--take responsibility. Then Obama won't have a leg to stand on. Then repeal the income tax, if you think that tax is legitimate anyway.

System was founded on taxation and controling the laws, and people wonder why our elected officials don't listen? Why they make all these promises and then break them. Obama is a constitutional scholar for crying out loud. He voted yes on FISA and now his "volunteer" program, which passed by the way. It's one thing to know the constitution, and another thing to know it doesn't apply to anyone. How can you have a forced system and true freedom oriented representation? How? Why would they have to? I mean, everything is by FORCE. I talked to a family tonight that was very educated on the subjects at hand ( which was refreshing ), and I also talked to a young man who was alone, he believed that society couldn't function without taxation. We had a long informed chat. Nice young fella. The future lies in the younger generations hands. I believe we have a chance, if only they are given the right information to achieve this. It's up to us to inform.

You first must know what
Liberty is, in order to fight for it. Liberty is not a system that places pawn after pawn in front of you with the same results. It will do you no good to reform this system. It will still be a system of force and extortion. You think it will help by calling your reps, it will not. The reps don't listen to you, because they seem to be the only ones who know and understand that this is a system of extortion, one of FORCE. Now, why would they need or have to represent you under it? They merely need to give you the illusion of it. But, this only works for a while. They know it's only a matter of time before we reach this conclusion. By that point it will be total control. Meanwhile the rest of the country believes thru indoctrination that force is freedom and freedom is force. They voted for FISA, the Patriot Act, The Bailouts, Nationalization, BO's Youth Brigade, They stood idly by while Habous Corpus was suspended. These people don't understand what control is, because they have never known it. How could they? They took all the power from the begining! What you seek will never be. You cannot have representation within a FORCED system. So why do you continue trying to reform it? The only hope we have is to wake people up from this deception and quick.

I said state and local government, not the feds. The feds are for the most part long gone. State legislators, on the other hand, tend to be mostly average people. We can still hold our state and local officials accountable, at least for now.
I think what he is saying is that
it seems many people here would be happy with just rolling back the clock only a few years or decades, maybe even a hundred years, but that few if any are really challenging the foundations of the systems that put us here.
Accepting 'income taxes' as legitimate, or 'paper fiat currency' or 'fractional reserve central banking' or 'Congressional jurisdiction within the States' etc. etc. etc. will NOT solve the problem. The problem isn't just a few minor silver bullets that need to be tweaked or fixed, but rather an entire system of THOUGHT.
This will take decades, even with all you see happening now. Such monumental changes do not happen within one lifetime. Even a the speed of the net we have today.
"The State" is clearly a failure. All possible combinations and arrangements throughout history have been tried, all of them failures.
People say, "but ours works if you just follow the rules." But therein lies the problem, "how to enforce the rules?" If the enforcers are themselves lawless and immoral, what then?
There is only one surefire solution - Liberty. And no, we haven't tried it yet.

Know your rights, know what rights are in the first place and where they come from, and then you will realize the only way to protect them is to use them, and by doing so, you will see the only safeguard for your Liberty - yourself. No one else can save you. No one else is obligated to you. You will live as a free man, or die as a slave all of your own choosing.
No one can make you be a slave to them - you choose or "accept" your chains when you decide NOT to defend your life, liberty, and property.
As for myself, I will enjoy my life, liberty, and property, and if they are attacked I will defend them, and if I fail, whoever is attacking me will die in the process, even if I go down as well.
To be born free is an accident.
To live free is my responsibility.
To die free is my obligation.

Change can come quickly; it depends. The American Revolution had an ideological build-up for some time, but once things started really picking up, it was only a matter of years. The problem we face today is that the populace is largely ignorant of its rights, which was less of a problem during the founders' generation. But that can change, and it is changing, as more and more people are waking up. Is it too late to avoid a civil war? Maybe, maybe not. Hopefully it is not, and I'm going to operate on that principle and educate others, and work to do what I can to slow the globalist agenda.
