Civil Disobedience - Playing "breakdown"
I remember as a kid we used to play a game called "breakdown". It worked like this; we would stop at a red light, turn off the car, get out and pop the hood (acting bewildered), then we would unplug the coil wire so the car couldn't start, get back into drivers seat, hit the key and of course all you get is "ning, ning, ning, ning" noise so the whole thing appears to be a breakdown. Now we would just keep this up until traffic was backed up for miles (we chose busy intersections at rush hour). When we felt there was enough tension, traffic snarling, etc. we'd just pop the coil wire back on, drop the hood, start the car and drive off.
Since there is nothing illegal about a breakdown, I'm wondering if this might be a good way to get peoples attention, if it was coordinated? A "breakdown Friday"?

Sorry, but I really can't
Sorry, but I really can't see how this would reflect favorably on the movement. A lot of folks label us as kooks, lets not give them more reason to think they are accurately describing us.
I like it. I'll bet the colonists weren't too happy about no tea
either. But you're not trying to win converts here, this breaks down the system. Great idea!

Socialists are Everywhere
Socialists are Everywhere
Let me understand. Piss people off to get them to notice your
political position. Now that is a way to win converts; NOT.

Converts?
Not so sure the idea is to win converts.
Socialists are Everywhere
Socialists are Everywhere
It certainly would!
The only problem is that they'd be mad AT YOU.
Also, if some folks were trying to get around you and crashed into each other then you would have contributed to them having an accident.
Real dumb idea.
I guess we can continue to talk sh*t
Maybe someday the sheeple will listen!
LOL
The idea of civil disobedience is to send a message to the powers that be, not make friends.
