The poll went down just now at 3:14 AM. 2 minutes ago as the previous poster tallies...Paul was still on top. They were getting a percent every minute or so though so who knows who is on top right now when the poll went down.

Yeah, we know how those
Yeah, we know how those people operate. We learned the hard way at the straw poll here before the election. Ron Paul supporters out numbered Romney supporters at least 10 to 1. But then his sons showed up with pockets full of money and they started buying up hundreds of tickets. You see, at the time, we didn't know you could vote as many times as you could afford at twenty bucks a ticket. So he sent in his A-Hole sons with a crew of body guards and hired hands to rig the election. Since the NPR poll does not track votes anyone can vote as many times as they want, so I would not put it past Romney or some of the others to hire a room full of people to just keep voting over and over all day long. Look at the people, they are completely dishonest in everything they do so why should this be any different for them.

Although the whole poll has been pretty much rendered useless by the Romney people pulling that macro stunt and turning it into more of a hilarious "something to do in the election meantime" war.

Last Round NPR Did Not End the Poll Until Noon
So, it might not be right at midnight.
Either way, I think you're right. On the last round, the Romney supporters have admitted that they waited right until they thought the poll was about to end, and then they spammed the poll with hundreds of thousands of votes!
The number of votes skyrocketed in a very short time span.
Right now there is only 50,000 votes, so they could easily spam about four times that in the matter of an hour.
