The earth is too populated and critics of genetically modified corn and rice are living in bygone times.
I never really believed in the whole NWO/project 21 and so on, but when government officials start talking about the population being out of control and having mandatory genetically modified foods I am start to listen to other people's theories. This is madness....

There are already too many people living on Planet Earth, according to one of most influential science advisors in the US government. Nina Fedoroff told the BBC One Planet programme that humans had exceeded the Earth's "limits of sustainability".
Dr Fedoroff has been the science and technology advisor to the US secretary of state since 2007, initially working with Condoleezza Rice. Under the new Obama administration, she now advises Hillary Clinton.
"We need to continue to decrease the growth rate of the global population; the planet can't support many more people," Dr Fedoroff said, stressing the need for humans to become much better at managing "wild lands", and in particular water supplies.
Pressed on whether she thought the world population was simply too high, Dr Fedoroff replied: "There are probably already too many people on the planet."
A National Medal of Science laureate (America's highest science award), the professor of molecular biology believes part of that better land management must include the use of genetically modified foods. "We have six-and-a-half-billion people on the planet, going rapidly towards seven.
"We're going to need a lot of inventiveness about how we use water and grow crops," she told the BBC. "We accept exactly the same technology (as GM food) in medicine, and yet in producing food we want to go back to the 19th Century." Dr Fedoroff, who wrote a book about GM Foods in 2004, believes critics of genetically modified maize, corn and rice are living in bygone times.

How does this relate to Universal Healthcare?
Population reduction and Universal Healthcare seem to be heading in opposite directions. Any thoughts about how the same people pushing for less people are pushing really hard to get this universal healthcare nightmare started? The only thing I can think of is they will ration medicine, surgery, and doctor visits as a means of slowly thinning the herd.

both right.
Henry - it's bait and switch to make you THINK you will be getting healthcare. What you will get is CONTROL of who gets treatment and who they let die.
Mandated vaccines to make you ill, go to doc for meds, which continue the downward process. Support big Pharma and to make the nation's number one killer, Cancer, like diabetes. keep you living long enough to get all your money.
With their goal of all our medical records being "on line" in five years they will have all the info they want. Then, they will put it on a chip in your arm, just to make sure you do or don't get emergency treatment.
Monsanto’s Dream Bill - Dr Mercola’s take on HR 875
Filed Under Big Agri, GMO Foods, Organic
Congressional Bill HR 875 was introduced by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, whose husband Stanley Greenburg works for Monsanto.
The bill is essentially a giant gift package for Monsanto, mandating the criminalization of seed banking, prison terms and confiscatory fines for small farmers and 24 hour GPS tracking of their animals, and of “industrial” standards to independent farms.
The corporations want nothing less than full control of the land, the end of normal animals so they can substitute patented genetically engineered ones, and the end of normal seeds and thus of seed banking by farmers or individuals.
And now Monsanto wants its own employee, Michael Taylor (the man who forced genetically engineered rBGH on the country when the Clintons placed him over “food safety” in the 90’s) back in government, this time to act with massive police power as a “food safety tsar”. HR 875 would give him immense power over what is done on every single farm in the country and massive police state power to wield over farmers.

Chances are Agenda 21 is already influencing Governors of States and Mayors of Cities and Managers of Towns all over... and they are promoting an agenda to buy up conservation land then it goes into the black hole of 'national heritage' area.
Yes Agenda 21 is trying to impose itself on our local communities.. just read about it at USPEIN@yahoogroups.com
It's a group set up to talk about brainwashing in education but we have 35 MB of files on various NWO subjects, that one being a biggie. They have to teach this in school too.

Individual rights must take a back seat to the collective? Links
I had no idea this article would create such conversation. That is wonderful. It has made me do some more research into the subject and has led me down a path to Agenda 21. I'm sure this is old news to most of you, but I'm new here and to alot of these ideas so I thought I would share a few links if anyone is interested. Peace...

The Earth can support more people...
Totally Untrue, The fact is the destruction of hemp has lead to a food shortage and major soil errosion. Especially in low lying countries like Bangladesh.
The outlawing of Hemp has led to a destruction of a major food source and the only small grain with a very deep root depth that makes it the most important plant in agricultural sustainablilty.
Also, there is a BIG difference between a hybrid seed and a GM seed that may have a chemical or virus in its DNA.
Without Hemp mankind would have been extinct many times due to famine. Gruel is boiled hemp seeds. Besides, Most GM corn, beans is used to feed Cows not people.
"Following the same trend of RLD, root biomass was highest in the first soil layer; 50% of the root biomass was found in the first 20 cm or 50 cm when taproot biomass was considered or not. Total root biomass was 3.21 t ha−1 and 2.41 t ha−1 in the two years of trial, but the ratio between aboveground and below ground biomass was constant at 5.46. None of the root parameters were significantly affected by plant population, which seems to confirm the plastic behaviour that hemp shows for aboveground development. The high root biomass production measured in this study, especially in deeper soil layers, provides additional evidence of the positive role that hemp can play in sustainable cropping systems."
I hope Mon'satan'o is not messing with
our hemp seeds. With such little hemp being grown right now, I hope and pray good clean seed is and will be available once we start growing it again. Great post B_H_C!

the earth could support more
the earth could support more people, but only with a truly free market that allows man to fully exploit his technological capabilities.
with our current system that criminally restricts man's potential, the current number of people supported by the planet is unsustainable. if we're forced to live in technological and economic stagnation, even a billion is unsustainable.
Just one comment...
100% agree with your comments on HEMP, as I posted reasons on the "Industrial HEMP thread", BUT...Since the FDA doesn't require posting of what foods are GMO, how do you know that more cows eat it than people?

I was looking up the stats
I was looking up the stats to do some figuring and ran across this. Don't know where it came from and haven't verified any of it other than the obvious.
Earth has a surface area of 196,940,400 square miles, slightly less than a perfect ball with a diameter of 7913.5 miles (which is the mean diameter of the Earth - see "Prove it" under 103).
The surface area of the seven continents and all the islands of the world is about 57 million miles, while the total area of the six habitable continents (Antarctica excluded) is around 52 million square miles.
Including Antarctica , over one fifth of the globe's land mass is under water (oceans, lakes, rivers, etc.) or ice. This leaves about 45 million square miles of exposed land.
The human population on earth has crossed six billion. If we distribute all the exposed land evenly among all mankind, 133 people would have to share one square mile. What that means is that every single person on Earth, man woman and child would have close to five acres of land for his or her use. More precisely, each person would get 209,000 square feet of land, or a square plot of land 457 feet on each side.
Not all this land can be used beneficially however. A significant portion of the Earth's exposed land is unhabitable or cannot be used for any agricultural purpose. Large portions lie in the far north. Large portions are extremely arid. Large portions are very mountainous. In sum, only about one fourth of all the land on earth, or somewhat more than 12 million square miles, is arable.
Today, over half of the arable land in the world is in fact not under cultivation. Bringing the unused land into service in many cases would require huge investments of money and effort, and would do considerable damage to the environment. For example, only about 28% of the arable land on the African continent is used for growing crops. Immense tracts of forests or jungles would have to be cleared to bring the rest of the arable land on that continent to productive use.
Thus, only about one eighth of each imaginary plot of land distributed to each person is land which is under cultivation. In effect, each person has a piece of land about 26,000 square feet (a square 161 feet on each side or just a bit more than ½ an acre) at his or her disposal on which to grow all that he or she needs.
This pseudo intellectual, Fedoroff should be dropped...
In the middle of the prarie somewhere, where she wouldn't be found for days because there's no POPULATION around to find her! Boy, these numbskulls really have the agenda of the one-worlders well digested so they can then spew it forth to all the gullible out there! Surely she can't think we are all that stupid!
For YEARS, I've listened to this claptrap NONSENSE and wondered why people don't realize that there is SO much empty space on the planet that can be utilized by the human race. There are millions upon millions of acres in this country alone that the public no longer have access to thanks to FedGov and Bill Clinton among others for locking it up. When flying over this country, one can see all the free space that can be available once again....this doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out! When people are sandwiched into the cities and leaving the farming communities and country, there's even more space to live. How about all the deserted and depressed towns out there? Please!
As far as too many people...aren't we missing at least 45,000,000 since 1973 thanks to abortion as birth control and then with the 2.5 children, small family mentality for the last 40 years that has taken hold thanks to the eugenics propaganda, the population rates for Americans are down not up, even though we might observe that there are more people as a result of all the illegals that have planted themselves here. When you observe the cities, how many of these people are there with families? Very few! The cities are where most of the people from the once-populated country areas have gone to. As for over population in the rest of the world....haven't our abortion/birth control policies been exported to many of the third world countries all these years?
Lastly, with regard to food.... Since they are doing their best to thwart the small family farms and want big Agra to do the job of squeezing independence out of growing food, this should be more of a concern than not enough food for ALL the people. Get the FedGov off the farmers backs and encourage the younger generations to get involved in growing their own food and becoming self-sufficient with diversified farms so they can grow their own and make a living. It's really gaining steam right now and I'm glad. Those peoples in the so called third world countries could do much better for themselves if they were taught how to produce for themselves and were able to live in freedom without their totalitarian/marxist governments that rob them of their initiative and what little they have left.

Llike it or not
Over-population is becoming a problem. How would you suggest we, as a world, face it? Its fine to say that people should be responsible and only have as many children as they can provide for but what happens if people start having 5 and 6 children per family, worldwide? The growing population is a SERIOUS problem that goes beyond individual rights because it will affect every single human on the earth. Once the the population reaches a point where the human race starts doing irreparable damage to the ecology things will fall apart quickly.
What no one knows is whether the failure will become systemic and permanent (at least in terms of a human-centric time-frame).
You might even argue that people who have too many children are doing property damage to those around them.
Hey
This sounds just like global warming. You tool.

I'd be willing to bet you haven't abused your brain with an original thought in decades.
What happens with too many people get in an elevator? Or too many people get on the bleachers? There is obviously a maximum number of people that the planet can support in a manner beyond mere sustenance. Its all common sense, something you seem decidedly against using, which probably means you don't have any.
Shut you up?
No I want to you talk. The more you do the better I look. So please tell me how the occupancy of the local swimming pool equates to our nation. Or dare I say the world? I don't think your local swimming pool can handle an influx of the entire population of the globe. Please entertain me with how you can make the connection between you local elevator and the world trying to ride it at once.
