Please be respectful and reference the recent recorded harrassment of freedom lover Steve Beirfeldt.

Also, please call your congressional reps to express your outrage at the handling of this incident. When enough people become involved, they will have no choice but to make changes.

Thank you, Steve, for helping to educate the masses.

Peace,

Stefan

Something was missed here

Forgive the obvious question, but why didn't Bierfeldt convert the cash to travelers' checks, a cashier's check, or a money order before he went to the airport?

Why should he have to?

Perhaps it might not be wise to carry that much cash, for various reasons, but why should he have to feel that he can't?

Because...

...carrying that much cash is a mugger's wet dream. Or a pickpocket's. In a gun-free zone at that.

Plus it makes the whole mess avoidable in the first place.

Because He Wanted Cash?

Who doesn't?

And that includes the thieves at TSA, DHS, DEA, and the local PDs.

Hence it's a good idea to not entice a robbery, under color of law or otherwise.

Whatever man. I don't leave home with less than a grand

I don't invite thieves or flash it about and when I fly out of the country, I convert it to the other country's currency and arrive with a bunch of cash. Never been mugged, never looked like I needed to be. You can get discounts on a lot of things when you pay cash. Honestly, I think being "Joe Tourist" makes you invite trouble way more than carrying cash.

IMissLiberty, nothing appears to be working

to "enlighten" Obama supporters. What is the point of calling someone "very smart" as opposed to saying outright something such as, "The President appears very ignorant of basic economics when he suggests the lifeblood of an economy is its system of credit. Repetition of this nonsense concerns me as it appears that--unless I'm mistaken-- Mr. Obama wants to purposely deceive Americans by purposely misleading them as to the basics of our economy."

How's that? Gentlemanly, but makes the point, right? How has dancing around the ignorance personified by the likes of members of Congress, governors, and "average" Americans served the cause of liberty, IMIssLiberty? Folks here talk about "revolution" but you find offense in suggesting that Dr. Paul stop dancing around the very real and obvious danger to our republic as personified by the Marxist fundraiser-in-chief?

I'd have to disagree.

Sure there is a portion of blinded Obama supporters, but I have been able to talk to many who are not completely star struck and I've been able to turn them towards embracing Dr. Pauls message. And it greatly helps that when they start watching RP videos that he never outright rails against Obama thus closing the persons mind who is watching. If someone verbally attacks someone you identify with already, it is rare that you will be able to rationalize the message that the person is putting out there.

They got the seating wrong

No offense to Gerald Celente, but he really needed to step aside and let John Stossel answer questions that were asked to him. He seemed to think the questions for Stossel were aimed at him. I mean it's John Stossel for Pete sakes! Let the man talk.

And what the frick is Celente talking about when he criticizes deregulation at the 6:35 mark in part II:

I respect John Stossel

but come on, he's a talking head. He was fortunate to be sitting there with the Judge and Celente. Besides, he was late. Had he been at the set on time, maybe the Judge would have had him in the middle. But I doubt it. ; - )

Edit:

Celente's comment regarding deregulation was largely misconstrued, as he was actually referring to the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act during the Clinton administration, which enabled the plundering of nearly every pension fund in the world.

The Glass-Steagall Act, passed in 1933, mandated the separation of commercial and investment banking in order to protect depositors from the hazards of risky investment and speculation. It worked fine for fifty years until the banking industry began lobbying for its repeal during the 1980s, the go-go years of Reaganesque market fundamentalism, an outlook embraced wholeheartedly by mainstream Democrats under the rubric "neoliberalism."

Here's the article that paragraph came from, check it out.

He is sort of right. With a government subsidized and regulated banking system, you'd BETTER regulate or things will go insane. Of course, this does sidestep the reality that without the government interference to begin with you wouldnt need that regulation.

I've got a crush on Napolitano

And Peter Schiff...That being said, could somebody please gently slap Dr. Paul upside the head? He thinks Obama is "very smart" and has good intentions? WTF?????? Well, if he's really smart, then how come he thinks credit is the lifeblood of any economy vs. capital? If he's really smart, then how come he allows the giving of DVD's to a prime minister that don't work or an iPod to the freakin' Queen of England? Come on, Dr. Paul!!! Snap out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is an American version of Daniel Hannan????????????? We are irretrievably toast if we don't snap out of it.

Other than that, I have no strong feelings.

"like the special olympics"

What about when Obama said that little joke on Leno's show? It was only mentioned, once, the next day.

To me, Obama is the greatest car salesman of all time, and with that comes some shallowness. Dick Cheney, you might be right, I hate to say that, but BHO's out of his league.

It's obvious Ron Paul is a patient man. He doesn't seem to go into personal attacks, and if he started to it might look unnatural. His philosophical battle is what counts. All in all, he does a good job i.e., the Limbaugh affair.

Yet, having a partisan debate would be great. Maybe on economics, there needs to be serious debates on a whole host of issues; social security, health care, Medicaid, private central banks vs. free-market banks, the IRS, our empire, the MIC, 9/11, etc., etc. Instead, there's hardly a debate about any of these. The MSM instead gives us, not a debate about whether or not gov't intervention is necessary or not, but how much the gov't will intervene. NPR in particular has stoked my ire. They are basically inaugurating more world government with the coverage of the g-20. That's gov't funded radio, for ya.

^^^We need to build political strength and political will$%$%

We need to build political strength and political will.

Ron Paul later pointed out

Ron Paul later pointed out that they want a world government and will say anything to get it.

Question for you

Which one of you should be better able to convince Obama supporters to see the light? You or Dr. Paul?

I agree with Dr. Paul's assessment: Obama is ignorant, but very smart and well-intended. Dr. Paul won't open any eyes if he attacks Obama, personally. Lots of people voted for Obama because of his personality and an attack on him is an attack on them.

One can't educate people by putting them on the defensive.

are thugs, too. I have been treated very well at other airports but Phoenix is the worst. I don't know who these clowns think they work for but they work for us. It just makes me sick.
