I KNOW these things are going to be neo-con recruiting grounds and there will only be a semblance of truth floating around if we don't get out there and educate these very confused people.
I think we should try to bring Ron Paul's "What If" message, copies of "The Obama Deception", info about the fed, and and and, what else?
What should some of the signs/stickers say?

for the silkscreening ,but I'd like to have a T-shirt with a big red $ front and center, and the whole T-shirt covered in rows of 000,000,000,000,000, in black ink. Maybe a big red ? or WTF on the back... ;}
Or, since so many charts have the $ as the monetary standard (with the gold value rising from it) how about a chart with a broad horizontal gold/yellow line (gold standard) with a black or red or green line for the plummeting value of the dollar. And have 1913 and 2009 at either end of the timeline.

I am sorry to say but we are all going about this the wrong way. We need to reorganize and come up with a better plan to advance our cause.
well
it shouldnt focus on right/left. i think a perfectly feasible way is to explain sound economics. just explaining to people that our government doesn't have magical powers - they are bound by economic law just as much as they are bound by the laws of gravity.
just tell them that the evil in running budget deficits is a tax on future generations - that eventually these debts must be paid. the economic reality of the situation is these government programs and all our wars on whatever and in Iraq are unsustainable. there has to be a correction, so why not get back to a sound economy before the crash is catastrophic?
just educate yourselves as much as possible on austrian economics. any argument can be beat from the economic perspective - but you have to be sharp, and not give into your emotions - stay cool and collected pumping out truth.

There is a new phenomenon sweeping across the political landscape. It’s the new “revolution” complete with meet-up groups and tea parties. It’s full of the usual rhetoric about the out-of-control politicians in Washington. What’s strange is that this “movement” is full of new faces that were nowhere to be seen during the Ron Paul Revolution. This new “movement” is being promoted by the Republican party, and neo-con hacks like Glenn Beck - who all did their absolute utmost to slander, squelch, and stop the Ron Paul Revolution.
Hmmmm . . . it makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Now that there’s no chance of electing Ron Paul for President and getting REAL change; now that we have safely installed our new boss Obama that is so like the old boss Bush and working so harmoniously with the controlled opposition candidate McCain; now that Republicans have someone they can safely criticize and still be “in” with their party cronies; now that it is “safe” to say you support the Constitution and the Founding Fathers (because now “safe” people like Glenn Beck are saying it); now the timid hordes of controlled, mind-numbed Republicans are once again being herded into a controlled opposition movement.

IMHO ~ While it is a good thing that these tea party and MSM folks are now seeming to move in our direction and are being encouraged to think about some issues and principles we have been espousing ...make no mistake they are the same GOP we were up against during the campaign..just in process of "rebranding" thier image but you can bet they will not agree with a non- interventionist foreign policy!

Yeah... and all of a sudden someone's come out with a book with a similar title as our good Dr's something like: "Liberty vs Tyranny a Conservative Manifesto" that is supposedly a #1 seller.... Something tells me they're trying to construct a pseudo-movement patterning it after the real thing... WE are the true Patriots, though... We have a local Tea Party but I'm so disgusted, I don't feel like having any part in it, unless I can really wake some neo-cons up or something... I hope someone comes up with some ideas....

when my mom told me there was a tea party in Knoxville on the 15th i laughed, and was like im sure there will be a bunch of idiot Republicans there just wanting to slander Obama.
no doubt he deserves it, but what drives me nuts is how Republicans cant see how the party has deviated from its principles. but whoever posted earlier is right - this is a fantastic opportunity to educate some pissed off people.
ill probably bring my laptop down and try and show a peter schiff video - or maybe something of RP - i dunno...
there will no doubt be many uneducated, unenlightened half-wits parading around these tea parties - but what they do know is that something is f'd up - which makes them ideal recruits

Let's us this as a chance to get information to people who are already involved in the political process and may have been for years but don't understand how our "money" actually works.

We don't want to alienate them, but we don't want to capitulate to the neocon emotions either. I think it needs to have an initial appeal - but - absolutely needs to reference the Bush Bailouts as well. Something like:

I have seen blogs post here and elsewhere where the question has been asked "How has Ron Paul and the message of Liberty,Freedom,Truth,changed your life?"
Maybe put together a collection of testimonials of people and there stories of how the RP revolution has changed there lives. Have each person give at least their first name and their home country and state. We all know that this has reached much farther than just the borders of the USA.. It's a great way to let someone who is curious to hear from a fellow citizen and neighbor and also gives those who are part of this already to have a voice at the tea party's that they cannot be at. This I feel is very important seeing that most of us agree that "CHANGE" has to start with ones self first.
While I am here I will just pass on a message from a old friend that I hadn't heard from in years. She, through us catching up found out I supported Ron Paul and sent me this just the other day.
" Thought you'd like to know---We are marching on the Montana State Capitol on Saturday. And our tea parties are set to go all over the state. We've been told we have over 1,000 set to show up in Bozeman. And we have a former legislator helping us through the maze of how to get heard by the politicians. Is anyone talking about Harold Koh? I made an End the Fed sign for my car window and used a picture I found on the internet of the shrinking dollar. It started in the fifties (Eisenhower era) with a full-sized dollar and continued on to more recent times. Each dollar had a value assigned to it and of course this became much smaller over the years. I didn't even have to go back to 1913 to see a huge difference in value.
