A response to "Calls for Action"

In my humble opinion, while I wish them well, these calls are not to action, but merely to more talk. The political means of change are closed to us. Even if not, the obstacles are so great, and the domestic traitors within our gates so quick, that there is not time for this approach to effect the desired change. That being said, it is far better to have one more "Ron Paul" Legislator, Executive, Administrator, Mayor, Councilman, etc. than no more at all. And I will continue to vote for, campaign for and support them in my local area. But in the end, the "political means" are in my estimation "illusions of hope."

I do not question the patriotism of anyone here. But people can see the same thing differently and I mean no disrespect by speaking directly and without reservation.

What we face is nothing short of a question of freedom or slavery. To hold back my opinions at this time for fear of offending anyone, would make me guilty of treason against my country, and rejecting of my Maker, who I regard as superior to any "earthly" judge.

It is natural for people to cling to illusions of hope. Many refuse to see a painful truth, or hear the alarm bells, even until we are rendered mere animals. Is this how intellectual and wise people fight for their liberty? Are we like those who refuse to see and hear what threatens our very lives? Those of us who are "awake," who have "taken the red pill" and begun our journey "down the rabbit hole" have all made this decision that it is better to know the worst so we can better prepare.

I am guided solely by my experience, and I don't know of any way to gauge what the future holds than by the past. Judging by the past then, I want to know, what has our government and our media done to justify the hopes that so many of us seem to comfort ourselves with? Is it that as of late, some of them 'appear' to be friendly to our cause and mindful of our plight? By what experience do you have that shows we even have the time to elect enough people to office so as to gain control of our government and our future safety and security? A few 'wins' here and there? It will take thousands more. Our governments are infested, and their numbers are legion. Do a few public officials who are just recently giving lip service to our issues and to "the Constitution, Mom & Apple Pie" and the media talking heads now admitting that maybe "the conspiracy theorists were right" justify such hopes?

I say don't trust them. It is a trap. Do not be betrayed with a kiss and a warm smile. Ask yourselves, how such friendliness and acknowledgment reconciles with daily assaults on our lives, liberty and property, from other seemingly innocuous policies and programs that up until just recently, many of these officials and media anchors were, and are likely still, fully in favor of perpetuating.

Are infestations of Fusion Centers, Detention Camps, and Combat Brigades the only way to "secure the rights of We The People?" What about "Income Taxes," "Fiat Currency," "Fractional Reserve Central Banking," "Electronic Voting," "Congressional intrusions into the States," and the "NAU?" Have we shown that we refuse to work out our differences that force, slavery, and oppression must be resorted to?

No, these are the tools of war and subjugation - the last resort of tyrants. I ask you, what purpose does this clear train of abuses and usurpations have if not to force us into submission? Can you honestly see any other motive here? Does America have enemies so great here on this continent that would require such preparations? No, these can only be meant for us. If the intent is solely to protect lives and property in emergencies, by men sworn to God "to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC" then how could any of them advocate, much less plan and implement a contingency for suspending and abrogating that very Constitution? How can they on one hand make pleas for 'private property' and 'the free market' and in the next breath defend the income tax and government market interventions?

Who exactly are the "terrorists" when we are bombarded daily with fear and threats of attacks and financial ruin unless we "surrender or liberty and hard earned pay?" If the "terrorists" attacked us because we are free, why is the answer to give up freedom? If our economy is in shambles because we have more debt than we can pay off, why then perpetuate irresponsible and excessive lending and borrowing?

To those who wonder why some of us no longer cling to the "illusions of hope" of effecting change via the political means:

"And what have we to oppose to them? Shall we try argument? Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten, [nay 150] years.

Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing. We have held the subject up in every light of which it is capable; but it has been all in vain. Shall we resort to entreaty and humble supplication? What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted? Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves.

Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on. We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves ... The Peace has not yet been breeched and until then, I will cling to my illusion of hope that by some miracle, we will either be successful in the political means, or we will gain a reprieve of more time to do so. But that hope is thin indeed. So thin, I see now that my resources are better spent in preparation for when the Peace is ultimately lost than to try vainly to preserve it.

The first part is a rephrasing in modern terms and the last is a direct quote from Patrick Henry's Speech Before the Virginia Convention.

I did not include the call to arms he gave at the end, because I believe we are not yet at that stage. But we are fast approaching it, and I think it prudent to prepare.

As for hungry people, that is why I am growing my own food and saving seeds. You can't eat bullets or silver, and seeds will be worth more than both put together someday. The way to win friends and influence people in the future is to be able to feed them. I'd rather if patriots answered the call of the famished, than tyrannical government.

When the majority of Americans

have been stripped of their few remaining freedoms and totally trampled underfoot, by the country/enemy state that has infiltrated every facet of what was American, I think an effort to take this country back will ensue.

I have my doubts as to the time left for this to happen.

The time when people are really going hungry

will be the day. Those who are hungry now are guilt ridden and still believe it is their own doing and had put their hopes on Obama. Those are not the ones who complain or will take action as yet.
When famine knocks on the doors of those in the know, who understand why this came about, that is going to be a crucial time.

Hungry people want food, and the govt will "give" it to them. All they'll have to do is whatever the govt tells them to. John, work here! Dan, spy on your neighbors! Hannah, testify falsely against that freedom activist, etc...Really starving people will submit.
