Be the media and give these events/participants a fair and balanced report like they deserve (and likely won't get if we leave it up to the MSM).
For a list of tea parties in your area:

2nd time on the DP I've seen a post
like the one below; what is it, spam?
And thanks to Voice of Reason for the thread.
Considering it.
What are you fightin' for?
Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!
What are you fightin' for?
Caught in the middle?
Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!
NOPE..........
WOW!
Think if our forefathers had sent teabags to the British or protested in their fields.....
Woh hoooah!!! That made them go away....
Keep sending your faxes and your teabags to the very 'people' that govern you and see what happens.....nothing....
The guys that 'govern' (make the rules without you present) dictate what goes on in your life...Don't believe me? How's your 'credit'?
This will come down to a violent confrontation and your life will change and Ron Paul will be on the sidelines asking what the f*** just happened and you will all be waiting for him to tell you what to do....DUH!!!!!!!!!
Get a life and be self sufficient. Do not depend on government...
Keep on protesting and sending your faxes and teabags...Would that make YOU stop making money at your free ride job as a congressman?
I doubt it...
If not...Run for office and see where you get....You will be so stomped on so quick you will be in a whirlwind for years trying to figure out the tantamount things you did wrong...
You have to be a pretty big POS to want to rule it all and kill all the others. So , why would you ever WANT to be a politician?
Ask Ron...

dead end "strategies"
"Tea parties", are only significant if they lead to something ongoing and permanent.
A short-lived wave of "tea parties" is in the end no more effective than hiding
out in the woods or launching a premature armed revolution.
This means you have to create a base (with actual elected officials, not joke candidates) within the existing political system at the state level in order to reinforce and sustain the Tenth Amendment Movement. See Chuck Baldwin's article:
http://vdare.com/baldwin/090322_states.htm
The best way to have a chance of getting a permanent bloc of pro-Tenth Amendment legislators is via what is called "proportional representation". It is the norm outside the US, Canada and the UK and allows for representation of ideological minorities. The people who support the ideas of Ron Paul are a minority(surprise) and the idea that they will suddenly leap to majority status is ludicrous.
The incumbent state legislators are not likely to take such an action "against interest" Even in the states most friendly to "the movement" most legislators are probably opportunists and cynical careerists.
Sixteen states(including Montana and Missouri) allow for amending the state constitution by the initiative and referendum process. You don't have to ask the voters to switch to a parliamentary system-just convince them to elect one house of the state legislature via PR. Considering all the conservatives who are fed up with the GOP and the growing disillusionment with Obama among Dems and independents and you have a potential majority for discarding the fraudulent "two party system".

THe fraudulent nature of our current voting system:

Not a panacea, but can you think of something better that has a chance to throw the current regime off balance?
P.S. Instant runoff voting would be a good idea too, but only a relatively minor change.
Great idea, aVoiceof Reason;
this is an opportunity for skilled, thoughtful writers to reach out to those on the left who have open minds. Government cronyism, waste, deceit, war spending, the military-industrial complex, Big agribusiness, all the treachery and evil deeds funded by tax money -- these could all be highlighted in tea party reporting. We're in a war of education, go for it!
Yep
I'll be attending in Sacramento, CA.

I ignore that rule if the thread is in danger of dying and going unnoticed... I think that rule is more to prevent abusing it to keep something at the top repeatedly....
