Protest the IMF & World Bank

Alright, I know most of you will have serious problems with the ideology of this particular group, but there is a bigger issue at hand and an opportunity to do something about it.

The IMF and World Bank will be meeting in Washington DC over the weekend of April 24-26. According to the IMF's website, the purpose of the meeting is to "discuss progress on the work of the Fund and Bank."

So, regardless of what the group above is fighting for, I feel that many of you would agree that what the IMF and the World Bank are symbols of a greater problem that we face.

If you look at recent protests in the US (particularly the RNC) there is a serious deficiency in cooperation between groups who are fighting for similar things. Every group holds their own little get-together and criticizes the tactics of the other groups. The messages are scattered and fractured, and don't really make a significant impact on the bigger picture.

Personally, I feel that cooperating with neo-cons is a pretty much as low as anyone can go, so if we are willing to do that then why not try cooperating with some radical liberals? For those of you who ever hope for a third party alliance, these are the people we need to start networking with to make that happen.

We have a chance here to do something. Even if you don't want anything to do with this group, why not show up anyways and voice your dissent?

controlled opposition

reminds me of the astra-zeneca campaign to create breast cancer awareness through pink ribbon week and other nonsense.

the drug cartel astra-zeneca makes breast cancer drugs and they also sell massive amounts of cancer-causing chemicals.

so what did they do?

they spearheaded the campaign to create awareness for breast-cancer and completed a self-fulfilling circle.

1) their cancer-causing chemicals cause breast cancer, 2) they own the vast chunk of the breast-cancer treatment market, and 3) they raise awareness to increase profits to which they can use to further cause cancer.

so now there are good-intentioned activists running around everywhere with pink on, who are unwittingly aiding the very thing that they were hoping to prevent in the first place.

controlled opposition.

Work with what IS awake in every person you can

I agree with you 100%. "Radical Liberals" have been LIED to their entire lives. They ARE waking up, and it is time for US to step up and EDUCATE them. We must put our pettiness aside and meet them where they are awake.
I spent a couple hours seated next to our Sheriff the other day, and it was a very positive event. I have come to HATE law enforcement officials for their blindness, for their willingness to be the jack-booted thugs of the NWO. He does NOT want to remove guns from the hands of law abiding citizens - from that common ground we developed a discourse.
The "radical liberals" know something is WRONG but they have fallen for another lie about blaming capitalism. It is VERY easy to show that we have never TRIED true free markets in our lifetime.
Rise to the challenge, unless you prefer to sit back and wait for riots where these people can be our enemy instead.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Right on

Who knows, maybe we could even learn a thing or two from them too.

I was in Minnesota for the convention, and at the protests was surrounded by people on the far left of the political spectrum. It was a very eye-opening experience. Though I did not agree with everything they said, most of what they were talking about was right down our own alley, something I did not expect to hear at all.

You're absolutely right, though, they've been lied to just as much as we have. We need to meet them on common ground to work for something better.

The thing about going

The thing about going against the IMF and World Bank is that the movement around the world against these institutions is very strong. We can expect alot of violence and bloodshed against these institutions overseas. If America can't stop the IMF and World Bank from this power grab through our peaceful movements then things can get really ugly.

You Said

"why not try cooperating with some radical liberals?"
Because we will be guilty by association.

Of what?

Do you support the IMF or the World Bank?

Who cares who else is going to be there, if we all stand for the same thing then we might as well stand together.
