Glenn Beck Poll: End the Fed / Return to Gold Standard

0 votes

Regardless of what you think about Glenn Beck, his 9-12 Project has gotten extremely large very quickly. On his TV show today (April 2nd), Beck announced a new poll of 50 government issues people can vote on; it will be narrowed down to the top 10. Some of the ideas are bad, but some are good. On the list are ending the Federal Reserve and returning to the gold standard. Be sure to vote so we can help those ideas reach the top 10 so they get more attention from Beck and his fans! The poll is located at http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/04/02/take-our-poll/

There are

some important issues to vote on there. I only picked 10 of the most important.

"It's just one big club... and WE ain't in it!"

"Tyrants fear nothing more than insubordination"

If 9-12 has a forum you may

If 9-12 has a forum you may want to consider leaving a qoute on gold and central banking.

"the right to issue fiat money would be as alarming as the mark of the beast in revelation".-George Reed of delaware, signer of the constitution.

John langdon of new hampshire:"I would rather reject the whole [constitution]than grant the new government the right to issus fiat money".

John randolph from virginia noted the corruption: "Every man you neet in this HOUSE [OF rEPRESENTATIVES] OR OUT OF IT, WITH SOME RARE, WHICH ONLY SERVE TO PROVE THE RULE, IS EITHER A STOCKHOLDER, PRESIDENT, CASHIER, CLERK, OR DOORKEEPER, RUNNER, ENGRAVER, PAPER-MAKER OR MECHANIC IN SOME OTHER WAY TO THE BANK".

suggested the "fairtax" more than once, like no income tax, only sales tax , and fairtax, and i could see them saying that a flat tax is the fairtax, though it is not. he would like to make government tax collection easier, and harder to escape.

This MUST be END THE

End the

Fed isn't doing so good, half as many votes as some less important ones. Let's plug away.

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

It would work best to vote

It would work best to vote for only the two things to make sure they are at the top of the list.

It says after they tally the

votes we can comment...I did not like the wording for several of them, so I did not choose those...for instance the illegal immigrantion one. Fix illegal immigration could mean something that I don't want, et cetera...I didn't like the wording on the gun one, either... Well, you get my drift...

There seemed to be little in this poll that adhered to the constitution.

What a selection of crappy ideas

I found 3 I could fully agree with.

yup

i heard dat man

I was looking for something

I was looking for something about just ending the income tax, period. Instead it was end the income tax and have a sales tax. Lame. And then the bit about enforcing current guns laws before writing new ones, I'm thinking, how about repeal all gun laws? Oh, well. At least maybe we can make an impact here for sound money.

It's funny how similar our thinking was on those

I just skipped it. I'd rather not even know what the 9-12-er's think liberty is.

That's a concern of mine

That's a concern of mine with this 9-12 Project. The potential is good, but what direction is it going? Sadly, it might become a populist neocon movement. I mean, look at some of these ideas.

1. Kicking lobbyists out of Washington D.C. = bad idea. There are SOME good lobbyists.

2. Removing earmarks = bad idea. Sure, get rid of the useless pork, but to do away with all earmarks just lets the bureaucrats spend the money, and that's even worse.

3. Limiting campaign spending and "special interest funding" = this sounds like McCain-Feingold, clearly a violation of the 1st amendment.

4. Require reading the Constitution. Okay, I forgot who said this (maybe it was Dr. Tom Woods), but look at the irony. If the federal government required students to read the Constitution, it would be a blatant violation of the Constitution! If the state governments did it in state-run schools, that's fine under the 10th amendment, but this proposal is too vague. The feds certainly have no authority to do it.

5. Outlawing organizations like ACORN. Again, an obvious violation of the 1st amendment. You can't ban the existence of an organization just because you don't like what they stand for.

6. "People who owe us, must pay us." What does that even mean? WE'RE the ones with a massive national debt that we can't pay.

7. Drug testing elected officials. The federal drug war is unconstitutional, and it might be argued that this is a violation of the 4th amendment.

8. Increasing presidential term limits? No comment necessary. Pass.

9. Lie detectors during Congressional hearings? Again, this is against the 4th amendment. If Congress forces you to testify before them, they can't hook you up to a machine. Can you imagine if they started doing that in the courts? Ugh.

Njon, that was my thoughts exactly!

Enough of this Bob Barr, Chuck Norris pansy-ass "let's end the income tax" but sneak a fair tax or flat tax in the back door! Morons.

Chuck Norris

I do have hope that Chuck Norris is coming around. He was on Alex Jones' show a few weeks ago, and I think he's really waking up to the New World Order globalist agenda, even if slowly. He's an honest guy; he just needs to be educated more on the truth.

end the fed has only 1 percent?
