I posted a bit ago on the fact nearly all chewing gum has aspartame in it-not just the sugar free gum, juicy fruit, hubba bubba, the common ones-if you look at a grocery store, or walmart, you will be amazed just how many have aspartame listed in the ingredient list, sugar is there, but so is aspartame. I know that sometimes adults choose to diet, and use aspartame in place of sugar, but what why is it showing up more and more in foods children generally consume frequently?

Remember the Atkins diet?

I never went for artificial food, but decided to try that diet, and my husband did it with me. We cut out all sugar and had treats made with aspartame, and both wound up with thyroid disorders within a few months.

I've been drinking diet soda for the last 13 years and have been trying to kick it. I think I have my reasons now. I had no idea about Rumsfield and it being a weapons project at first. How is this allowed in our food supply? I have been having several of the listed symptoms for the last few years. I just hope its not too late. This is crazy.

I am just so outraged by all this.

Do ya'll know that it was Donald Rumsfeld who sat on the board of directors of Searle who helped pass Aspartame through the FDA!!!!

I am constantly telling my teens not chew that kind of gum but they complain there isn't anything else(of course there are the food co-op's gum).

Maybe that would be a good investment. Manufacture of good, old-fashioned chewing gum with REAL sugar!

I really like B Fresh. It is flavored with Xylitol and tastes pretty good. Doesn't really have the staying power of aspartame, but that ok with me.
