In recent years we've allowed our Alliance to drift. I know that there have been honest disagreements over policy, but we also know that there's something more that has crept into our relationship. In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.
But in Europe, there is an anti-Americanism that is at once casual but can also be insidious. Instead of recognizing the good that America so often does in the world, there have been times where Europeans choose to blame America for much of what's bad.
On both sides of the Atlantic, these attitudes have become all too common. They are not wise. They do not represent the truth. They threaten to widen the divide across the Atlantic and leave us both more isolated. They fail to acknowledge the fundamental truth that America cannot confront the challenges of this century alone, but that Europe cannot confront them without America.

I don't like Hannity and
I don't like Hannity and sure as hell don't like Obama. However, what Obama said does not amount to *attacking america* imo. That's like saying because American foreign policy results in blowback that the American people are to blame for something like 9/11. The whole Blame America First bullsh*t the neocons preach and drone on about over and over.
Well, i'll be the first to say that YES i AM blaming America for actions THEY took, like Operation Ajax or pre-emptively invading Iraq. American's need to learn to come to grips with reality and just accept responsibility for the things it has done and apologize. Does that mean every other country is an angel? NO, but it's not our responsibility to make them apology.
If America would follow the golden rule and treat others the way we want to be treated things would be much better. That's what this Revolution is all about in some regards. Learning from the error of our ways and helping to elect people that wont make the same mistakes.
Overall, I'm so disgusted with the likes of Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly and Beck all jumping on Ron Paul's bandwagon without even giving him an apology, much less creedence for their new found views on obeying the Constitution. Rating whores is all they amount to.

The Constitution gives NO authority to the Congress to abdicate declaration of war powers to the President and most assuredly not to some supranational governmental institution like the U.N.
What America did was launch a pre-emptive attack on Saddam Hussein stating that he had weapons of mass destruction and should be taken out before he used them against us or others.
At one point, he DID have wmd's, which WE gave him to attack Iran with after they threw us out for overthrowing THEIR government. Saddam then used those things on his own people.
