The Hijacking of Our Movement and the Next Wave of Patriots

Over the last couple of years, as our numbers grew and our influence increased, I’ve often wondered how the establishment would try to take down our movement. Would they demonize the patriots in the media like they did in the 90’s? Would they try to infiltrate our movement and set up their own false leaders from within like they’ve done with other political movements? I’ve been waiting to see what the establishment would do because I knew that day would come. They can ignore us for only so long. Well, it appears they are taking another route by attempting to co-opt the movement, keep people locked into left right politics, and water down the message of liberty.
I went to the Orlando Tea Party a few weeks ago. I was really encouraged to see thousands of people show up to protest the bailouts and stimulus packages. I came away from the event discouraged, though. It was essentially an Obama bash fest. Most of the people there were Republicans that seemed to have short memories. I guess they forget that it was their man George Bush that started all of this mess. They spoke of liberty and the Constitution, but they didn’t seem to know what it all meant. Then there is Glenn Beck. We’ve all watched with suspicion the “awakening” of Glenn Beck. Is this a move by the establishment? Sean Hanity, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, and Newt Gingrich are now jumping on the Tea Party bandwagon. It seems apparent that this is a move by the right to hijack the message of liberty and steer it into a dead end.
The more I ponder this move by the establishment, the more I come to realize that they are making a huge mistake. THEY ARE DELIVERING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE INTO OUR HANDS! If Glen Beck’s message really is controlled, then they make a huge mistake by letting him bring up subjects like FEMA camps, globalism, and the gold standard. As people look into these topics on their own, they awaken and start the strange journey down the rabbit hole. As they do independent research on the internet, they arrive at sites with links to other liberty sites. These are OUR websites! This is OUR message. We OWN the message. We dominate the market so to speak. There are thousands and thousands of liberty websites, thousands of YouTube videos, and thousands of liberty minded folks on social networks. The establishment might own the airwaves, but we own the internet.
The problem with trying to control the message of liberty is that you can’t. Once you learn the message of liberty, your world view completely changes. By simply studying the intent of the founders and what rights really are, you awaken to the fact the left/right paradigm is false. You also start to quickly realize that the media is controlled. Once you are awake, you can never go back to sleep.
The first big wave of our movement was the Patriot Movement back in the 80’s and 90’s. The second big wave came with Ron Paul’s presidential run (that’s how many of us got involved.) Folks, like it or not, Glen Beck’ audience and all those that are attending the Tea Parties are the next surge of our movement. There are millions of people that are fed up with the government. They are awakening to the fact that our Federal government no longer represents them. These people are looking for answers. They are looking for something different.
Unfortunately, these people are still locked into the false left/right paradigm. We need to “co-opt” the “co-opt” attempt. We need to steer these people in the direction of true liberty. I think the most important thing we need to do is to grow our movement. They are open to our message. We have a fantastic opportunity to swell our ranks. I don’t know if we’ll have another shot at this. The attempt by the establishment to steal our movement could go either way, but if we do nothing, I know which way it will go.
This is what I’m doing. I think the Tea Parties next week are the perfect opportunity for us to spread the liberty message. We can make a lot of converts there. I plan to go to my local Tea Party, not as a protestor, but as a promoter. While all of the newbies enjoy the event and shake their fists at Washington, I’ll be working the crowd. I’m going to hand out literature and DVD’s. I’m also promoting the event locally. I’ve been on local message boards and tomorrow I start my leafleting campaign. To prevent this from becoming a Republican event, I’m making it clear on the handouts that this event is for all Americans and that both parties are to blame.

They are afraid because many people are waking up! They are the media powers, banking powers, and political powers. It is one big club and they want to keep it that way. Now I am sure they feel threatened, so what better way to silence this movement than by assimilating and watering down the message until it means nothing. I think what you are doing by staying focused is great and that is what we all need to do, don't go off message, hit them with the truth. I would caution that we all keep watch on Glen Beck and such, I used to believe O'reilly, Limbaugh and Hannity and now I see, through the internet, what frauds they are, they only say the right things when it is convenient for them, whether they believe what they say is another matter. I just don't trust the MSM anymore. I hope that they can't control the internet!

I agree with the concept of co-opting the co-opt attempt. I'm planning on passing out C4L fliers but what DVD do y'all plan on passing out. More importantly, is there a downloadable version that I can make copies of from my PC? It's getting to be last minute but I think doing this at the San Antonio Tea Party where Beck will be broadcasting from and speaking at, will be an incredible opportunity. Thanks for the info.

DIVERSITY...is a strong point in our movement. However.
if this diversity leads to DIVISION...it can be our weak point as well.
There are those within the ranks that would like to see us divided...this is obvious in this thread with all the "muffle the truthers" posts. Continually prying and pushing to create a fracture in the movement ( which is basiclly sound and in agreement especially about 9/11 & the NWO's participation in it ) using malicious posts with trivial reasoning.
Don't think for a minute that Ron Paul is "un-informed" or in "denial" as to the FACTS concerning the incidents surrounding 9/11. ... he is NOT !!!
Will he appear at interviews with the press wearing a "9/11 was an inside job" t-shirt and bull horning the NWO...I doubt it.

Problem I'm having is these aren't just little old ladies with good intentions, but people with the means to... well I guess you know the conspiracy theories, from the Waterloo Courier to the Jeckyll Island meeting and all the before and after. And then what happens when the "good" part of the intention becomes relative and not mutual? I'm not talking philanthropy, but the profitability of war, medicine, etc...

Other than a variation of Occam's razor, I've not heard much to debunk the idea that there's nobody there in the "who are 'they'?" question.
I mean, I even agree that the fight isn't against flesh and blood, but against principalities and rulers/powers of the air (ideologies), but there has to be a fleshly agent(s). My trip down the rabbit hole found me plopped down at Waterloo.

People have access to the same information you do and they will come to the conclusions they come to. If you think "the movement" will accomplish its goal without going mainstream, you are sadly mistaken.

What is the “movement” I speak about? It’s certainly not my “movement.” It’s not your movement. This is not even a Ron Paul movement. It was around long before his recent notoriety. It’s so much bigger than him. It’s Libertarians. It’s Goldwater conservatives. It’s Truthers. It’s “conspiracy theorists.” It’s militia types. It truly is a big tent and we welcome all.
We may have different ideas about certain things, but we all agree about one thing – a literal interpretation of the Constitution. We believe in the intent of the founders of this country and look to their writings to clear any confusion about the meaning of the Constitution. We believe that we don’t need to change or replace the Constitution. We believe that we need to get this country back to the way it was originally founded and follow a literal interpretation of the Constitution.
Now Beck, Hanity, and Limbaugh are starting to talk about free market economics and they are using some of the buzz words that we use. Are they talking about getting rid of the Patriot Act and restoring our personal liberties? No. They are still defending all of the tyrannical, Bush era legislation. They promote economic freedoms, but not personal freedom. The two freedoms are not mutually exclusive. You need to defend both to have true liberty. But this is what the Republican Party has always done. They’ve always promoted economic freedom just like the Democrats have always promoted personal freedom. The net result of the two parties warring, of course, is less freedom and more government.
The mainstream Republicans see a genuine populist movement occurring and they want to hijack it. They are picking up part of our message and saying all the right things, but here is the litmus test: do they believe in a literal interpretation of the Constitution? The answer of course, is no.

One problem....
One problem with the analysis you present. Although Glenn Beck talks a good game, I don't expect him to lead people to the freedom movement. I expect him to lead people to a watered down version of the freedom movement that the elites control. Soon, Beck will start pushing "leaders" who are really just the controlled opposition.
Good to get the message out and get people researching the issues? I think not. The people Beck reaches DON'T RESEARCH ISSUES. If they did, they would already realize where Beck is coming from (leader of the controlled opposition). To them, if it is not on CNN, it didn't happen.
The only hope, which you mentioned, is to grab the people that Beck has lit a fire under and gently, with the utmost care, lead them slowly to the truth. Expect it to take months or years since these folks don't do research and will have to have it given to them a little at a time.
The good news is that if you can reach these people and get them to take the red pill, they can reach others and so on, so the movement can grow exponentially.

seems to be their new approach. force and argument will only lead to a stronger resistance, while befriending us, almost becoming us, allows them to add a little yeast, which will derail our movement as it always has throughout history.
