Here's an idea to update the Gadsden flag

So people of today can understand it better.

If I had any artistic talents I would give it a go, but if the idea has any merits I'm sure someone will take it up.

Here's the gag:

1. Remove the snake but leave the words underneath, "Don't Tread On Me", or "Liberty or Death".

2. Copy & paste some fuzzy white bunnies or sheep.

3. Change the words to your own liking, pointing out the folly of being a sheep in a country run by wolves, etc. You get the basic idea.

I'm not sure that people up here in Canada would understand if I used the Gadsden flag. The closest thing I could find was a Metis aboriginal flag featuring an infinity symbol.

Maybe I could use a Canadian weed flag featuring our nation's favourite banned plant, or I could just photoshop a beaver on to a red background?

during the American Revolution. There was no standard American flag at the time. People were free to choose their own banners. The Minutemen of Culpepper County, Virginia, chose a flag that looks generally like the Gadsden flag, but also includes the famous words of the man who organized the Virginia militia, Patrick Henry, i.e. "Liberty or Death."
