Thousands lose phone service - drive to get help if needed

(04-09) 07:12 PDT SOUTH BAY REGION -- Thousands of residents in parts of Santa Cruz, Santa Clara and San Benito counties are without telephone service - both landline and cellular - and will need to drive themselves to a hospital or a police or fire station if they have an emergency, officials said.

The widespread outage began at about 2 a.m. as a result of a cut fiber-optic cable belonging to AT&T, authorities said. AT&T and Verizon customers in Gilroy, Morgan Hill may be among those affected.

Anyone who tries to make a call and hears a fast busy signal or a recorded message saying the network is unavailable should be prepared to physically get help if needed, officials said.

apparently some vandals went undeground threw a manhole cover and knew exactly where to digg up six feet of dirt and then cut threw 3foot thick fiber optic cables.....yeah right. this stinks to high heaven. and i am personal in santa cruz right now! its wack jack

Tell that to the little kids who are going blind and don't know why. Their reality is losing part of their ability to perceive. Tell that to the person who just lost a limb. They can still feel the pain, but it does not grow back.
This "Secret" type stuff has a kernel of truth, but it is being used to focus everyone on 1. Earning money - as long as we churn FRNs its all good... and 2. To blame all failures on their inability to have wholesome enough thoughts. Within 8 minutes of "The Secret" they act like all that successful people have is this "Secret." Well, they have a secret all right, but it ain't how positive their thinking is.
Reality is what it is. Perceive it, enjoy the ride. Do NOT think you are in control. (Why haven't all you practitioners of this art that works EVERY TIME just dethroned the Illuminati for us all?!) You are not powerless, either, and there is certainly value in focusing your will and intent. But happy lies (You can manifest whatever you really want!) are just as damaging scary lies (You will burn in hell forever if you thought about having sex with that person!)
