Here's where I am on this...
Glen Beck is an opportunist. So is Limbaugh, O'Rielly, et al.
They are paid huge amount of money because they bring in loads of viewers/listeners for their networks.
Beck is currently slanting his message to attract the 'grassroots' that came up so strongly in support of Ron Paul. Why? It's a lucrative market, untapped by the other hosts.
Does he believe in our cause? I doubt it.
The real question being asked here is "does it matter"?
His handlers will continue to pay him as long as he keeps those numbers up. They like money more than they like truth. They don't care either way, as long as the money keeps coming in. Just like Beck and the others.
Those who watch his show will be given little snippets of exciting information along with a ton of useless bullcrap. Those that can see will look beyond Beck eventually and discover more truth. Some will take everything he says as gospel because, after all, he's on TV. Some, like me, will just dismiss him as an opportunist trying to sell me something.
In truth, I don't think he hurts the revolution at all. Those who follow him will be his followers. They were lost to us in the beginning and will remain that way... just like an Obama follower. I severely doubt he will turn any true RP supporters.
So the good news is, if his truth tidbits get people thinking and in their search for more truth they stumble across Dr. Paul, all the better. If they stay with Beck, then they were idiots at the start and remain idiots. No great loss.
The world is full of idiots. Get used to the idea.

Great show tonight!
I thought he had a great show tonight -- he educated a lot of people on things they never learned in public school. He went over the history of fascism and how progressives have destroyed the country. Chuckie Shumer has said traditional values are NO MORE as he waved his hand like he was erasing them. Somehow I don't feel very secure knowing that the Constitution, which I consider to be a traditional value, is thought of as defunct by these criminals.

and I think much is coming out at this time, they know what Beck is saying and they are ok with it. They know a lot is coming out and they are ok with how it is coming out. They are way ahead of the game, as we see. So they have one of their own baiting us forward and if things get out of control, like the FEMA camps almost did, they will reign him in and turn the course. They have always given just enough truth to keep us suckered while they keep going down the path well traveled. It is just like Rick Perry jumping into the Texas Tea Party. What a crock.

any doubt who "They" are by now? But, gee, thanks for keeping track for me.
If he's being controlled,
it might not be just a carrot approach. They might have shown him alternate futures, one involving a family tragedy.
Let me hasten to add that I think it's more likely a case of an internal conflict between the new Glenn and the old Glenn. Sometimes we scare ourselves by what we see down the rabbit hole and decide to slap ourselves back to sanity.

I'm not defending Glenn Beck, but since when does money measure morals? Should we trust Alex Jones for making money off DVDs? Should we trust Ron Paul for making money off of his books?
I thought we were pro-free market? Are people here proposing someone else other than himself and his employer should decide his salary?

At a minimum he is pointing people to the right books so they can educate themselves. Amazon.com rankings back up my assertion. Let's assume he is lying. What are you so afraid of? Are you afraid people will blindly follo him into supporting a big government? If so, how is that any different than today? Will any intelligent proponent of liberty blindly follow this guy into neo-con fantasyland? Would you?

I have never heard Beck supporting big government! Where are you getting this? He showed the Consitutional goverment on a chart and said it's 2 on a scale of 1-10 and what we have now under both parties is a 9. He gets the non partisan thing.

reads a script. Do you believe that all he reads off the teleprompter is something written by someone else? From watching his show I get the opinion that he is decently educated about history, and that he has a lot of opinions, and thus writes his own material (or the great majority of it).

Yes Beck will know how to convince people of anything , he even comes close to an evangelist sometimes taking advantage of the lost who believe that there is a man who lives in the sky.

Dude, you got it so on target. Glenn had the power to really put Ron Paul over the top during the Republican primaries. He made Ron out to be some crazed old guy with even crazier supporters. Glenn always said he was for a few of Ron's ideas, but they gave about 5 more reasons not to vote for him. Glenn, Hannity, Rush, all of the neocons, should have embraced Ron if they were real conservatives, but we all know the real truth. They were scared to death over Ron Paul and this movement.
Now the all use the words Liberty and Freedom all the time on their shows. Rush even brings up Austrian economics now. Glenn, Rush, Hannity are earning their money, doing the bidding of their masters.
