We/I blew our chance to get him on the state ballots at the rally in Minnesota.
We had delegates from 49 states at the rally for the Republic. My niece, sitting close to the front, said she would nominate Ron Paul for President in front of an estimated 12,000 supporters. Several people, including me would have seconded the nomination.
The pro Ron Paul mood in the convention center would have given Ron Paul a unanimous endorsement for President of the USA.
He could have run as a Ron Paul { Real } Republican { or Liberty Party? }and the deadline for getting on state by state ballots was still several weeks away.
Of course the mainstream would have contested our nomination but, "SO WHAT"! Many are still contesting Obama's eligibility for President status!
Let them fight millions of Ron Paul supporters in court.
We would have achieved a major bloodless victory, because some mainstream media were broadcasting that event.
I owe all the Ron Paul supporters a huge apology for not making public my niece's plan, and not following through on it in Minnesota.
watching this video is overwhelming to see again. he's so right on so many levels and to hear Rudy sit there and laugh is so sad. I feel pain for our country. For now, I prepare for what will come and hope there will be a few brave souls who will stand with us when it all comes down.

and you know something I'd watch it a thousand times more. Nothing sounds better than intelligent responses by an honest man which in today's world are way too far and few. Brings back many good memories of all of the victories Paul and his supporters obtained against all odds, we had teh MSM trying to make us out to be loon's when everytime it would backfire when their online polls told them they were nuts not the Ron Paul supporters.

The GOP establishment just wouldn't let him claim it. They screwed with the caucus vote in IA and they rigged voting machines in the lower tier of NH. He was too much of a threat to the oligarchy; a Paul presidency could have swept away a military-industrial-Congressional-financial complex.
Ron won, they know it and the fight has just begun.

It was stolen from him so many times in so many places that the effort would be massive, although certainly worth it, to prove it! There's where I would put a couple of trillion just to expose them all!

Not to mention outright STEALING it in NV: Adjourning without proper procedure (which wouldn't have passed), shutting off the lights and PA system, refusing to reconvene the convention, sending their own slate of delegates to their cronies at the national (who "reprimanded" them and then appointed their own slate, consisting of essentially the stolen-convention slate).
That has got to be the dumbest move the party ever made. Thanks to their pet media and Ron's late start (about 9 months too late to win it with word of mouth/net alone) they had it in the bag for McCain. They could have been gracious and let Ron have a handfull of states that he'd actually won, to show the rank-and-file that their primary/caucus votes had meaning. Instead they stole it to look unanimous - and ended up looking like a refractory political machine.

Beaten wife syndrome. Don't pretend like the media wasn't 99% the main culprit. They called Ron Paul a truther before anyone even knew who he was. I don't know how many people I met during the campaign that don't know anything about Ron Paul except that he is supposedly a racist, based on that one story from 1980 that "broke" twice during the election cycle.
Dr. Paul looked very well when he talked about electability, he looked very presidential in my opinion. I also loved his answer about electability: "Let me see if I get this right: We need to borrow $10 billion from China and then we give it to Musharraf, who's a military dictator who overhtrew an elected government and then we go to war, we lose all these lives promoting democracy in Iraq". And the applause after this was just overwhelming.

This is so refreshing in comparison to the smiling nonsense that abounds these days, that blatantly ignores the issues and follows some agenda designed to pander to the elite. Thanks for the uplifting post.
... his face would have been carved into the side of a mountain, he'd be on a dollar bill (oh the irony of that) and we'd be visiting his monument. Sometimes I think he's wasted on our generation.
Where would we be without him right now? Scattered and divided. Can you imagine if he had not decided to run for President last year; boy, what a scary thought.
Dr. Paul's candidacy brought us all together. He's helped to create something that's so amazing, that I don't think any of us will truly understand the significance of it for a number of years yet.
Now the burden has been passed to us, and failure is not an option. Ron Paul cured our apathy; now we have to cure everyone else's.
I remember the exact moment (almost 20 years ago) that i fell in love with my husband. Any time that I see or hear Dr. Paul speaking truth, I am taken back to these debates, remembering those precious first moments of falling in love with this humble man from Texas and his message of freedom. Sweet! Thanks, we all need to remember.
What pity that this little video isn't run on some of the networks, but of course that would never happen.
The sound mix was great, stirring stuff, and understated. I don't think the part at the end was needed, however. I would have cut it after his strong rebuttal to Chris Wallace, when the crowd cheered.
Well, at least there is one guy in Congress who stands up for integrity, sensibility and the Constitution.

pretty sure he actually lost by a giant margin, and he owes it to people like you who are demented and or possibly insane.

is a one hour member who just showed up.
He's already posted in favor of neocon websites on another thread, and has 2 out of his 3 posts calling us "crackpot conspiracy theorists".

Well considering our congress
I might consider that an insult
Ron raises the bar for them
Ron raises the bar for them all.
And shows that, despite the "common wisdom", an honest, freedom-loving man CAN make it in US electoral politics.
What we need now is a bit over a couple hundred more like him in the house and 50+ in the senate.
Let's get cracking.
