Yes, the NRA is a FRAUD !

I keep getting asked about my handle, so...here's a brief explanation.

In 1968, Charlton Heston went on the Joey Bishop Show and urged the sheeple to support the Gun Control Act, which was translated directly from Hitler's Nazi Gun Law. Look it up...Senator Chris Dodd's father, Senator Thomas Dodd, used the Nazi Law as a template for gun registration. http://www.jpfo.org/common-sense/cs34.htm

With over 30,000 gun laws on the books in Amerika, the NRA has successfully reversed 2 (partially) pieces of gun legislation. I would give you the batting average of that ratio, but my calculator only goes to the 6th negative decimal. Having a membership of 3.5 MILLION, 550 employees, hundreds of thousands of volunteers and an annual budget of over $120 MILLION...based on their track record...I CALL THAT FRAUD ! Give me $120 million and I will gladly produce an equally dismal record from my pimp beach house in Hawaii.

The NRA not only compromises, but they help write almost every piece of anti-gun legislation, just to generate donations.

Gun Owners of America and Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership are the only way to go. Here's a recent piece written by JPFO slamming Michael Savage. Brilliant...

I'm Not Renewing My NRA

I got mad at the NRA about 4 years ago when I bought a new hunting rifle. I got NICed and had to wait a couple of days to be cleared to get it. The NRA supported the National Instant Check System. Now more and more people are finding that they have to wait to purchase a gun. This might be a real problem if you are a person who is arming herself to level the playing field against an angry boyfriend or some other menace.

I had pre-paid my NRA membership for 3 or 4 years but now it's expired and I'm not renewing it. I am proud to be a life member of Gun Owners of American and a member of the JPFO. These two organizations do a much more effective job than the NRA with only a fraction of the resources. Please consider joining both of these patriotic groups. I think the GOA is $40 or $50 and the JPFO is only $10 or $15 per year.

Everyone is accusing the NRA as being a professional lobby and making a good buck at selling 2nd Amendment fear.

One could also say, Ron Paul knew he couldn't really change anything either. but conveniently took advantage of talking up his heavy gold and silver investments. The more he pounds the table for sheeple [sic] to buy his gold and silver the more he lines his pockets. Don't you just love liberty ?

You sound like one of those conspiricists that think Alex Jones or even Glenn Beck are "in on it". If Ron Paul WAS sincere, his metals would have crashed to nothing.

BmoreBrawler, If our Ron Paul was sincere as you would have us believe, why in the hell did he so heavily hedge his bets (metal holdings) if he thought he had a chance becoming president and metals crashing ? If you ask me, our RP like the NRA definitely have conflict of interest issues.

If you had as much metal holdings as RP, would you have an incentive to be running around telling everyone the dollar is going to be worthless ? I would !

We know from his own words that he didnt think he had a chance at winning, but it doesnt follow that he didnt try to win.Paul buying gold is called practicing what he preaches. He didnt even think he would have had enough of an impact to make a bump in the ebay gold price(because obviously we cant effect the spot price).

Putting it simply, the NRA is the 800 lbs. gorilla in the room. They're not an angel gun-rights organization (in fact, far from it). That being said, at least they've muscled their way into Congress to serve as a check against the Obama administration. Even Carolyn McCarthy, one of most evil gun-grabbers in Congress, has refrained from championing the supposed AWB renewal. AG Eric Holder was even told to pipe down by Speaker Pelosi.

However, as a member of the NRA and avowed libertarian, I'm strongly considering helping GOA and JPFO. Both of the later firms strongly oppose any notion of compromise -- which resonates with me. My suggestion is to join multiple organizations after doing your research. There are also state-oriented groups like Massachusetts' Gun Owners Action League (www.goal.org). If you're not a member of any of these organizations, and you value your rights, it would be behoove you to join today.

I equate the NRA with the modern Republican Party, of what's left of it. The GOP has been hijacked by neo-con RINOs and cost Paul the nomination and ultimately the White House in 2008. The NRA is equally misdirected and needs more liberty minded individuals to join the ranks and usher in much needed change for the better!

the reason pelosi told holder to pipe down was because of the millions of firearms and billions of rounds of ammo that have been sold in the last 8 to 6 months.. it has nothing to to with the NRA. The best thing to do is send the NRA a message that we are tired of negotiating our rights and tell them to stick their membership dues where the sun does not shine.. as I have done many times. then maybe they will get it figured out.

Stupid to belong to either of these organizations. They're simply a mass gun registration. Your name on a list. They can't stop anti-gun legislation, why would they? They're getting money to fight it, not BEAT IT. It's a scam folks.

Also my local gun club Rocky Mountain Gunowners Assoc. is a good one also. Hell if you contributed to Ron Pauls campaign your on the "list"!

The NRA is far too willing to "compromise" with the second amendment, I've found. I had been a member for several years before realizing it.... I forget the actual straw that broke the camel's back but once it dawned on me, I turned and ran from them.

Second Amendment Foundation is a better bet.

Absolutly, I had suspected they were a fraud for years and when they would not support, or even discuss, Ron Paul I knew it for sure. They are a tool for the NWO bunch. It is their tactic to pretend to be your friend while they gradually strip away your rights. You know, like the frog in a pot of water on the stove. Toss him in a pot of hot water and he'll jump right out. But put him in there with cool water and gradually heat it. The poor thing will be cooked before he figures out what happened to him.
