There has been a lot of talk lately about the establishment 'hijacking' the Ron Paul movement. I do not deny they are attempting to follow Vladimir Lenin's advice of "leading the opposition." To me the questions is: Do we let them?
This article address's the concerns people have over the Tea Parties and Beck's 9 12 project.

Beck's a Zionist coward who wants it both ways.
Beck uses the "money bomb" references to label Ron Paul supporters "terrorists," while simultaneously expressing alarm about the same tyrannies of which we complain. Beck's one more example of those who support Israel first and middle east madness while "agonizing" over the consequences to our country.
Who is hijacking whom?
Ron Paul's people started the Tea Parties and then the neocons jumped in to turn the herd back towards them cause they knew they were losing. So now we are taking them back.
Funny thing is that the Obama government has made all people who are not "for them" terrorists. All right leaning people are terrorists and anyone else who opposes him and his.

There is a grassroots effort to get Washington-born Glenn Beck to speak at the C4L regional conference in Seattle. The 912 Meetup has had a noticeable effect to the Ron Paul movement here.
My only opinion is this: I would like to see Beck address his disparaging remarks about Ron Paul and his supporters during the 08 campaign. His type of hysterics lead to such nefarious things as MIAC, I think.

He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Ron Paul and I hope Freedom Watch doesn't invite him on anymore. Beck is a pawn for the neo cons. It's best to ignore him.

Activism - Leadership - Cooperation - Education - Participation
Some have said Daily Paul has evolved into a "news site" and I would agree. But before people came to DP for news and the latest info on what is hot today it was a central point to organize our street level activities of meetups and planning regional and even national strategies.
We would locate and organize people who could participate and execute numerous activities to advance our cause of individual liberties for ALL Americans.
After the end of the primary season thing slowed down here at DP for several months. Then people came back and started to socialize and share info, ideas, to educate, to share, to joke, to laugh, to cry, to flame 'trolls' (always sure to start a debate about the existence of 'trolls.")
But it got away from it's original intent. Which is OK.
Daily Paul maintained it presence and relevance. That may have not happened and there where many threads discussing the future of DP as the stats fell and "old friends" slipped away from the boards back into normal routine.
The country is ready for Dr. Paul's message like never before.
I believe we MUST reach out and seize the fragile moment in time. I will humbly do what I can. Please join me and get involve in your local Ron Paul, We Surround Them, 9/12 or many of the other liberty - End the Fed groups.
Spread the message! Participate!
P.S. I found this as a comment under a post at Little Green Footballs. The post was a rant about "goofy paulites" and many of the comments were bizarre.

And as far as Michelle Malkin, Pajamas Media, Fox News, Jane Hamsher and The New Way Forward they and others are latching on, buying sponsorships and trying to co-opt the message. That is a real enough issue. But none are achieving national control nor will they. Ours is a leaderless - decentralized movement of ideas and values not celebrity.

There are Ron Paul campaign veterans participating in Tea Party groups and 9/12 Project groups now and they are reporting great success. Everyday good hearted Americans are showing up at these meetings and rallies looking to save their country from the criminals who are destroying it. They are looking for answers. These folks are ready for a rEVOLution!

Meetup continues to grow. Message not man.
We welcomed a 9.12 Meetup last week to our general monthly meeting. They were open-minded and interested in the Campaign for Liberty's mission statement. We also asked the 9.12 Group to address the meeting. They discussed their points which most, I feel, our C4L group would agree.
One member of the 9.12 Group ask if this was also the Ron Paul Campaign. I explained that our meetup was inspired by Ron Paul's run but it's the message, not the man. (individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy)
I stated Dr. Paul is one of the leading advocates in Congress for the Constitution our issues however, our group focuses on Constitutional, State, and Local politics by means of educational and political activity.
The meeting went well, we gave them pocket Constitution's and talked for a bit after. They're a lot like the newbie Obama people that have this energy and want to get involved but came in via Beck. I think we talk with them and convey where we stand. I've learned and changed my mind and know that it happens to others.
I see the 9.12 groups as being partially awakened already. Let's bang the pots and pans.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely think that what you did was fantastic and will have positive results. HOWEVER, what kind of nation are we living in where people who did NOT wake up when a man of integrity like Ron Paul spoke are now starting meetup groups for that childish see-through hack Glenn Beck?

I agree with you but you'll have to agree that Glenn Beck gets 3 hours of national radio a day and 1 hour of national television a day.
Giving Dr. Paul all that airtime would be great and everything would work out very easily. We know that isn't going to happen so I'm calling it as I'm seeing it. It's a shame, it sucks, it's not fair, but people are waking up. Let's help them out.

Yeah, I mean I do understand people not really hearing Dr. Paul's message, but I just don't understand hearing that message for the first time our of Glenn Beck's mouth and actually believing it enough to form a meetup group.

Well, we could see this coming.
We notice at meetings the 'fakes' try to 'talk' like us but they really get screwed up when they have to explain their stand on foreign policy and the Federal Reserve. They are totally uncovered at that point.
Is there evidence of co-opting. Yes, I think so. We have witnessed it locally. Though so many DPers have been elected into executive house district positions, the old guard are now talking the new talk but I am afraid their walk usually consists of 'bait and switch' as always.
FORGET THE TEA PARTIES, AND THE GOP!
I don't think some people understand.
The libertarian "Tea Party" movement has not just simply been 'hijacked', but its been completely sabotaged now by the pro-Establishment, pro-War GOP infrastructure, and they have just made a mockery of it. They simply grabbed a-hold-of our buzzword "Tea Party" (cynically), and want to use it as a club to beat Obama with, to advance the GOP agenda (not the Liberty agenda).
But the whole Ron Paul Liberty movement is totally incompatible here with the crooked agenda of the GOP, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Lielly, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, Brit Hume, etc. , and the pro-War, pro-Torture, pro-NAFTA, pro-FederalReserve, anti-Civil-Liberties crowd.
So we all have to just move on now.
We cannot let them turn our movement into a laughingstock, or dilute the message down to the point of total hypocrisy.
We have to make a clean break here, and develop brand new tactics.
The GOP can never be trusted.
They are not our friends.

I'm going with my Ron Paul shirt and I hope many others will as well. There are supposed to be 500 people at the tea party I'm going too, and the meetup for that same city was 5000 during the campaign. There is no reason why there wont be 90% Ron Paul supporters there.

Bottom Line
to determine who is a Ron Paul supporter and/or libertarian or constitutionalist ....vs neo con or Glen Beck Republican types ask them about Foreign Policy ....
if they are Non-Interventionists they are on our side ....
if they think it is important to be at war while not attacked and pre-empive
war is ok - OR they don't even know or have a clue .... the other side....
this will clear up any grey areas of doubt.

I've been saying this since GB launched the 9/12 project.

The GOP are invoking a huge blur the lines campaign
right up until the 2012 election. My prediction is most of the candidates will sound very similar to Ron Paul and steal his thunder. People that don't understand why Ron has credibility and the others don't will be easily fooled... again.

Project? Did this just appear over night? Why would I want to go back to the date where everyone was a flag waving sheep. Hell even I was a sheep. I even joined the military because of 9/12.(The military turned out ok)

We need a tactic that can't be replicated because it is non-partisan and destroys 4 institutions in it's practice: 1) Banking, 2) Corporatist, 3) Unionist, and 4) Lobbyist -- all in one fell-swoop.

Vote-out-the-Incumbent (Form a Voter's Union and a Voter's Constitution)
Vote-out-the-Corporatist (Form a Consumer's Union and Constitution)
Vote-out-the-Unionist (Same as Corporatist)
Vote-out-the-Banking Elite (Remove their tools of leverage: Big Ticket Assets and Wage Tax)

At first it will have to be corporations in industries who do it the least -- that's how prevelant the practice is. We make a simple demand; "those who get to zero lobbying get all consumer dollars - in that industry." For all possible products / services (where it's possible) we buy local and always organic.

Nor will we buy products or services from corporations who house unions. Thus the phrases vote-out-the-corporatist and vote-out-the-unionist shall be our war cry. Where it's possible we will buy organic and local -- We will knowingly buy from businesses to pay wages under-the-table.
-- We will break the bankers backs by removing their leveraging tools - we will get rid of all our big ticket assets (we rent or lease - never to own) and we will seek to be self-employed (contractors) where we can; ever moving toward 100% wage anarchy. This will destroy the credit markets. Contrary to popular opinion bankers need a "freer" society (never fully free) to create occilations, price controls, bubbles -- wealth is always made in occilation. They will not "imprison us." They pay for prisons / guards through a debt-based system (a credit and tax system) -- if there are no assets to leverage and everyone works under-the-table where is their power -- what value are their assets.
