The MIAC report saga continues on the Federal level: Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napalitano warns of right-wing extremists

WASHINGTON – A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report, titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," dated April 7, states that "threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts."

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.

The people behind creating these documents need to be exposed, and the American public needs to see that a good majority of them are being made out to be domestic terrorists.
The ADL or the southern Poverty Law Center, and whoever else that is protecting the real criminals, and in turn trying to make US out to be the guilty party, are the worst kind of scum in the pond.

The focus on the war vets is most interesting...

They aren't just folks with skills that could be used against the government, they're people who know much better than I how the whole military industrial complex thing really works. To use a phrase that is often used against our sort, why should the government worry if they have nothing to hide?

This smacks of a government that is beginning to feel the pressure of opposition. Hmm, citizen detainment camps, they've never been used before by a government scared of newly empowered citizens...about 4,300 soldier deaths in our first Revolution, 13,000 prisoners of war herded onto ships. To get out, all they had to do was swear allegiance to the king. The majority chose death over the sacrifice of their liberty.

This reminds me of the hysterical

targeting of the John Birch Society back in the 60s. The Corporate Media made the Society out to be a bunch of crazy, dangerous wingnuts. their propaganda worked. This time the freedom movement is much bigger, stronger, closer the the mainstream. We have a way to go to convince Mr. & Mrs. Average, but I don't think we'll be so easily marginalized.

This is an attempt by the powers that be to paint all constitutionalists as dangerous. It is utterly ridiculous.

I was in my car this afternoon and Hannity came on his radio show and he spent the first 30 minutes defending Ron Paul supporters, saying they are not racist or dangerous and that this administration should look in the mirror at their own if they want to find dangerous people...

He asked how come no one ever put out a warning about the people on the left fomenting violence such as: Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, etc etc!
