WASHINGTON – A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.
The report, titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," dated April 7, states that "threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts."

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.
A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.
"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.

The Dept. Of Homeland Security
MUST be dissolved permanently.
It serves no actual purpose, but serves only to be a tyrannical Police State organization.
We never needed one before, and we don't need one now.
I say we all call for it's dissolution, and an investigation into all aspects of its activities, and prosecution and incarceration of any of its members who abrogated any Constitutional protections.
Let's do it.

Well, at this point in time
it would basically be ignored.
But, as things start to get worse, then more people might get on board with it.
And if we can get some of our candidates elected, then we can get some legislation introduced, even if it doesn't pass. At least it gets on the radar screen to some degree.
Things will be getting worse soon
or else they wouldn't be pressing this issue so hard. Keep a keen eye open and I'm ready whenever.

Dear Secretary Napolitano,
On behalf of the 2.6 million-member American Legion, I am stating my concern about your April 7 report, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence and Recruitment."
First, I want to assure you that The American Legion has long shared your concern about white supremacist and anti-government groups. In 1923, when the Ku Klux Klan still yielded unspeakable influence in this country, The American Legion passed Resolution 407. It resolved, in part, "...we consider any individual, group of individuals or organizations, which creates, or fosters racial, religious or class strife among our people, or which takes into their own hands the enforcement of law, determination of guilt, or infliction of punishment, to be un-American, a menace to our liberties, and destructive to our fundamental law..."
The best that I can say about your recent report is that it is incomplete. The report states, without any statistical evidence, "The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

There are so many pissed off people in this country that are from all races, and they want to target just the whites. All go in and confess to having conservative values and a desire to defend the Constitution. Insist they lock us up before the enraged mobs come after us. If they are not ready to file charges on us, as it seems we have been tried and convicted by the media, we will be needing placed in protective custody.

Some Christians are concerned that their conservative Christian values could soon put them at risk of becoming terrorist suspects by Homeland Security.
A recent report circulating around the Internet has engendered the worry because of a newly distributed U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assessment called “Rightwing Extremism: Current economic and political climate fueling resurgence in radicalization and recruitment.”
The intelligence assessment was sent to law enforcement officials across the country and defines rightwing extremism in the United States as follows:
"Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."
