Just bailed out of C4L

I decided to cancel my paid account with the C4L today. All I have seen from them is their hand out for more cash. Seems to me all of the funds pay salaries, somewhat like the blimp and the presidential campaign. Anyone else feel this way ?

I think Dr. Paul is seriously considering another run and C4L was a way to keep him in the discussion until then.

I really hope he runs again. He is best suited to deliver the Liberty message and attracts support from all political sides.

Ventura will never gain the traction that Dr. Paul did and will again. He is too divisive, too full of himself, and has no record to run on other than a failed, do nothing one term governorship that was tained with personal scandal.

Dr. Paul runs for liberty, Ventura runs for ego. No comparison and I do not believe Dr. Paul would ever consider running with Ventura. I am glad Jesse is part of the movement and supports Dr. Paul, but that does mean in any way that Dr. Paul endorses all of Jesse's ideas and I find it hard to swallow that Jesse could attract even half of Dr. Paul's supporters. Our goal should be to grow our movement, not make it smaller.

While C4L may be off track at the moment, I really hope we can all stay united and that Dr. Paul decides to make another run.

I feel the same way. C4L seems to be a lot about money. I was not favorably impressed by their people in Minneapolis last September. And all their crap is addressed to me as "Reverend", which pisses me off because I work for a living. ; )

or Ron Paul with one of them. I doubt Ron Paul will run again -- let him enjoy retirement -- he's done enough. We need to let him know he's done enough and that we love him and appreciate him.

I want him to write books and make some money for his grandkids, etc.

Get over the soggy diapers related to the ass-managed campaign. Yes, there were incompetents there, but what can you expect from a bunch of libertarians and CP people who expected to get half of 1% of the vote?

There is a lot of value in the Campaign for Liberty. You can use the Precinct Leader (name recently changed to something else) data to work your neighborhood in 2010. Pay for that later if you want, but stay a member and stay in the information pipeline. If you want to donate, fine. If not, that's fine too.

Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.

Most Seals/ Rangers/ Green Berets have lots of lingering injuries. They're tough guys, but they can't hide the scars as they get older.

A friend of mine was a Ranger until he landed a parachute jump doing 60mph horizontally. He got blown around 180 trying to land in 40mph wind. He could barely lift his arms above his shoulder after that.

The C4L is YOUR Liberty Lobby

Come on people just like any other LOBBY they have to raise money. I want everyone to stop and think a minute when you get those calls for money. Think about how much money those stinking lobbies like AIPAC and other lobbies like the Big Pharma and military lobbies raise to ruin our country. Those same lobbies who have hi -jacked our country ---WHO ARE THE ENEMY which the C4L is the antithesis.

I invite you to go on to moveon.org and investigate what kind of lobbying activities these creatures participate in.

So let us get to work!!!

Here is a good idea for someone who wants to participate with very very little money.

Go to the website and add everyone in your district into your contact list. Next-- cash in your cans and bottles. Take $10 of the can and bottle money and purchase those cool slim jims ( 100 for $10!!!). Next--distribute them in your neighborhood. Now go back to your contact page and click where it says "find more contacts in your area." From there you can see all new people who signed up hopefully after reading your slim jim. Cool stuff and you will make a huge contribution, for that new member just might become a big money contributer.

If you want to go one step further, send them an email and welcome the new members, and then organize meet ups. Can you imagine if thousands of us did this each week. Powerful stuff!!

I threw my C4L material in the trash after I realized they wanted money to help stop Obama's unconstitutional bailouts.

Their request for money, had an attached letter from Ron Paul, which bore his signature. It read "...You and I both know that President Obama is going to be a "NIGHTMARE" for freedom-loving Americans like you and me".

I didn't NEED anyone to tell me that. I already knew that was going to be the case before He took office.

That is why I was HOPING just one congressman had the GUTS to demand Obama prove his citizenship before Congress was allowed a vote approving the electoral vote.

But he couldn't even do that much for this freedom loving American, so the hell with his C4L as for as I am concerned. The time to be counted was before he was installed as president, NOT after.

I've been fighting this Freedom battle for nearly twenty years myself. I’m too old to support spineless nonsense any longer.

But on the other hand, I condemn no-one who wishes to support them.

I, too was disgruntled by RP's silence on the Obama citizenship issue. Haven't donated to C4L either, don't have the means to anymore even if I wanted to.

My only experience with that organization is this: One day I got a call from C4L. I only heard a prerecorded request for help—I was asked to attend a rally…that’s it. Another time I was asked to head up C4L’s Iowa chapter. I personally never got any handout request; nothing involving money anyway.

I’m suspicious that some people on here are using dirty tricks to discredit the Campaign for Liberty.

But all this recent negativity regarding the Campaign for Liberty seems like a series of attempts to dissuade public opinion. In fact, knowing what I know (I wasn’t born yesterday), I think that’s most likely precisely why we’re seeing these anti-C4L posts.
