When Glen Beck arrived today at Barnes & Noble book store he was greeted by forty plus enthusiastic Ron Paul supporters. The INDY group was well behaved and professional in their support for Ron Paul as always and the staff at Barnes & Noble was very hospitable, at no time were Ron Paul supporters access to the store or Glen Beck restricted.
Our group freely roamed inside the store and entrance handing out slimjims. In the parking lot many drivers showed their support by honking as they drove by. After all "WE" are the home team.
Inside the store a member was chosen/volunteered to get in the book line to speak with Glen directly, he politely let Glen know he was a Ron Paul supporter and disapproved of a recent Glen Beck broadcast. When Dan our fearless supporter asked how the book tour was going, Glen responding by saying, "Indianapolis has been the least friendly so far."
What a surprise considering the hospitality offered. A couple of members, visit their site at: www.redheads4ronpaul.net even baked brownies that said, "I love The Constitution"
This was another successful event for us here in INDY. And we made it very clear to Mr. Beck, Indiana is Ron Paul Country!

In Fort Wayne before he hit Indianapolis.
Hey Indy, great showing! We got Glenn warmed up for ya here in Fort Wayne. He was here until about 9:15 before he headed your way.
There were about 20 supporters showed up here. I had a copy of RP's book, A Foreign Policy of Freedom, that all of the supporters signed. I also bought a copy of GB's book. When I got to Glenn to sign his book for me, I told him that I bought his book and brought him a book. He was a bit surprised and tried to hand it back saying, "I already have a copy of that". I opened it up and said that all of the supporters here had bought and signed a special copy for him. He took it and set it behind his table and just said "NEXT". The usher shooed me away. We did get the book to him though, I hope he at least read what some of us wrote. Everyone signed very nice things, mostly, "Hi Glenn, from so and so, I am not a terrorist". So now I have a copy of a signed Glenn Beck book, big deal, maybe I'll put it up on eBay.
While I was inside the store standing in line, my wife and some of the other supporters got a few of our RP signs out. They went to the GB bus to get some pics and the BORDERS Books management came out and approached them (with a cop behind her) and told them that they would have to leave the property. They went out to the sidewalks off of the property. We did not want it to turn into a confrontation. Beck could have used it against us, so they complied.
We did about another hour of sign holding on the street and got some honks and waves. We thought it was a pretty good showing. I'm sure Glenn was wondering what Indy was going to be like during his 2 hour drive though. Maybe he was reading Ron Paul's book!
You did a great job getting him warmed up.
Really like how you gave him the book. He is getting this where ever he goes you know. I wonder how long he can take it?
Very disappointing how B & N staff treated you. Sad really, who do these people think buy their books. It ain't glen beck. I must give the INDY B & N staff credit there was no interference what so ever. Plus the police in INDY are accustomed to our activities and are supportive.

GB's signing was at ~Borders Books~ here in Fort Wayne.
I'd like to know what he meant by being unfriendly? They sold out of his book at Borders and the only thing that the RP supporters were guilty of here was waving and smiling too much. Geeeze..I wonder what he will have to say when he gets back from the tour. It'll be interesting to see how he describes it.
We will get down to an Indy meet up sometime.

Glenn Beck was in Harrisburg PA on Black Friday. About 15 Ron Paul supporters showed up out front of the B & N. We decided to "be nice" and pretty much stick to sign-waving and handing out literature. Mostly Positive responses - only one or two negative ones. One guy had the gall to say he agreed that Ron Paul supporters are terrorists. A few of our supporters went through the line and said Glenn stared at their buttons, hats, shirts, etc. A lady that just signed up for our meetup (she is full of fire), and I went into the store, found a spot right near Glenn, and continued to hand out stuff. Someone we handed a slim jim to in line got Glenn to sign it. Glenn wrote "Go Ron". We were there about 10-15 minutes before the store booted us so we went back outside. When Glenn came out of the store, we chanted "Ron Paul". I had a camcorder someone lent me, but I couldn't get it to work.
We really got some good exposure to the people going in, coming out, and driving by. We promoted our meetup group with the new handouts too with anyone (and there were a surpirising number) of people that have heard of Ron Paul and already like him; hopefully we'll get a few new members. Lots of smiles, and thumbs up from people driving by. Had some great conversations with people.

While you guys were showing the Glenn Beck crowd what we're all about there was a group of us in Atlanta working hard too!
Today was the GA/GA Tech game in Atlanta which is pretty much the same deal as we've all seen in the Michigan/Ohio football game video.
There was a large group of us sign waving and handing out information to thousands of college football fans. There were plenty of people that walked by that yelled to us "Ron Paul for President!!"
Sounds like it was a great day in lots of places around the country.
You all make me proud to be a Ron Paul supporter.

Would love to see some pictures or video, sounds like your group had a great event. Can you image the dollars we spend supporting Ron Paul? He is easily the best funded candidate for President. Wow, the old media really has an opportunity to get on board. But will they? And if they don't, will it destroy them? Sorry got off on a tangent.
