Radio talk show host calls Ron Paul a Fraud
Indianapolis radio show host, Abdul Hakim-Shabazz, who hosts a show every weekday morning called "Abdul in the Morning" has just claimed that Ron Paul is a fraud (see comment #8 - http://www.indianabarrister.com/archives/2009/04/pick_your_p...).
I attempted to have a debate with him and I will let you read through the blog to see our discussion unfold.

Our city is totally bankrupt by the Republicans and Democrats and Abdul is friends with Tom Johns who is the Indianapolis GOP Chairman and they are all trying to force the taxpayers to pay for their corporate "sports team" welfare/bailouts. Interventionist: A quasi-socialist elitist
Actually, I believe Abdul is a Keynesian (interventionist - a quasi-socialist) whereby he wants government out of his life, but he believes he knows what's best for another person and, thus, thinks the government should do certain things to facilitate these means. Some people would go so far as to call that "elitism."

For those who are unaware, our Governor (Mitch Daniels) used to work under George W Bush's team as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget. With him being our state's Executive, he has continued to allow the gross misapplication of Property Taxes under Article 8 of the Indiana Constitution:

----In this section, it describes who is supposed to pay property taxes:
"Taxes on the property of corporations, that may be assessed by the General Assembly for common school purposes."
---The mere fact that people who do not fall under this distinction (which is nearly all taxpayers) is that they would not have to pay property taxes. Our courts are also in violation of the law for they have stalled their decisions and saddled the people with a process to "prove they have been harmed by these measures."
---Digging deeper into this issue returns the voters back to the sources of this fraud which not only includes our public servants, but also the law firms who have been making tons of monies writing bonds to pay for the money our city and state borrows to pay for their schemes. Every year we are asked to give more money to our failing school system as though money will magically fix the problem and every year we realize that the schools are not improving. The fact that so many people do not understand the Constitution nor do they understand how money works is a reason why we are in this mess.
---On a final note, if a person does not pay their property taxes and asserts their Constitutional rights here in Indiana, not only have the courts ignored the rule of law, but they also allow the government to confiscate our property and sell it through a Sheriff Sale. Just like the double talk we see on a daily basis, our government claims that our properties are not used as collateral, but the truth is, in order to borrow money through the bond banks, they utilize the projected income of property taxes to secure the loans.

Fraud is a serious accusation punishable by prison time if it can be proven in court. Dr. Paul has in no way committed fraud, because he is required to help the people in his district who elected him to Congress by applying for some of that pork spending as he sees fit.
That's his job.
As far as Mr. Abdul being a traitor , what exactly is his job?
I would guess it's to inform the public about inappropriate behavior in the government, among other things. Any 10 year old can see our Constitution and financial system is being destroyed by the current and past politicians that vote for passage of these recent banking bailouts.
Now I haven't followed Mr. Abdul's talk show at all, but I would say, instead of making wild, unjustified false, accusations about a true American patriot who has been serving his country for over 40 years, counting his military time, Mr Abdul should study the Constitution and see exactly who in Government and banking is currently guilty of the criminal offense of fraud!
As the cop said who gave me a parking ticket in an unmarked area, ignorance of the law is no excuse, in this case ignorance of the supreme law of the land { Constitution } for a political talk show host is no excuse to keep quiet about the real fraud occurring in our country, right now:

It's the folksy misunderstanding of earmarks
He thinks Ron Paul is a fraud on spending because he votes against spending bills and then gets millions in earmarked projects for his district. All members should earkmark funds so the executive branch is not handed a blank check; but Americans are kinda dumb and like to bitch about stuff.

Even I was a bit confused about earmarks until Ron Paul described them and now I understand quite well. By the way, I have read many of your posts here and want to thank you for your work. You have been a true blessing to our movement.
