Understanding Subversion
interesting article by J. R. Nyquist
"...According to Bezmenov the KGB of the USSR pumped Communist ideology into three generations of American students. The universities and schools were infiltrated, the curriculum was changed, and a disguised form of enemy thinking was taught to American children. “In other words,” says Bezmenov, “Marxism-Leninism ideology [was] pumped into the soft heads of … American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism – American patriotism.
The result … you can see. Most of the people who graduated in the sixties, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system. You are stuck with them. You cannot get rid of them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli, in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind, even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black. You still cannot change the basic perception and logic of behavior…. In other words … the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible.”

Being a college student, I
Being a college student, I can attest to this. I think a prime example is the Keynesian economics we learn in econ classes. We learn this and think it must be true because it is in our books. Teachers don't know any better either. Just last spring I had a business teacher arguing with me that our money is still somehow tied to gold... :-\
I think it is reversible, but so many college students are liberals because it is hip and others are neo-con republicans like their parents. Until Bret Michaels and Flavor Flave start talking about Austrian economics, so many young people will remain clueless.
Older generations might not have a chance. After so many years of Fox News, my old man is as biased as they come. Repubs can do know wrong, Dems are to blame for everything... A shame.
Very interesting post!

For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.
If it's a working strategy
I don't see why we can't spread the message of freedom in the same manner.
So that explains those crazy
So that explains those crazy responses I've been seeing people post on major newssites in defense of Obama's policies and why they aren't protesting the war anymore.
I've noticed the same thing.
I've noticed the same thing.

They WILL come around, but it is important to...
...quickly recognize them so no time is wasted. They will come around when they see they are in thhe minority. Remember the old marketing axiom, "Nothing draws a crowd like a crowd". Once you spot them however, move on because you are correct; they will not listen to factual reason, but are more interested in simply winning the debate with whatever means are necessary.

thanks
i'll check out those youtubes. i like to email these links to people i know hoping they'll do the same. you and Ingrid2 say demoralization is reversible. i hope you're right, but masses of people need to wake up and traitors need to be brought to justice.
Very interesting
And it's certainly true about how people are programmed at school..schooling itself is very anti-freedom... and we all tend to be locked in certain patterns of thought.
But I think this statement, that the demoralization is complete and irreversible, is false. Once in a while, people do wake up...there is that human variable.
Homeschooling isn't perfect but it's a start.
