I am a Canadian Citizen and a passionate fan of the Vancouver Canucks since 1992...also a huge Ron Paul supporter as many here know.
I am upset about this and will not keep my mouth shut for the sake of unity.
Me and many other Canuck fans are calling for a proper responce~
we will CHEER your national anthem when/if you get to play game 5 against Vancouver.

Dumb American Jocks-Fans
I am an ex St Louisan, and I am shocked to hear that. The Blues have never had alot of sucess, but used to have some of the classiest fans in the NHL. This just goes to show you how LOW Professional Sports has gone since I was an avid hockey fan. It is a sign of the times. Our facisit government has suceeded in dumbing down Americans.
I issue a sincere Appology from those of us have have more respect for others than that. Especially my dear friends from Canada, who I have one of my best friends in London, Ontario.

The booing is about the game
nothing else. When I here our anthem I feel like I should be rocking my skates back and forth. Can't you smell the cig smoke in the cold arena?

You're right, it's not fair to generalize. Though America does seem to have little respect for Canadians. The US' largest trading partner, virtually married cultures, 14 of of 27 players on St. Louis roster were born in Canada.... American's forget who their closest ally is.
American's forget that 1 out of 10 Canadians went to Europe in WW1 with a 60% casualty rate (1 million Canadians, 600,000 casualties). 6% of our population as casualties!
In WWII, it ended with Canadians having the 3rd largest allied force (US, Britain, Canada). Hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of Canadians fought, as well equipped as the US forces...
It costs nothing to show respect instead of expect it. Obama did America a great service with his conduct in Europe. I read about American outrage that Obama was going to bow to the Queen. I know you guys fought a war a couple hundred years ago, but she is the official head of state of Canada, Britain, Australia...and the majority of America's allies. Maybe she's just a figurehead, but she's a popular one. Any slight to her would only serve to further isolate America...
Even now, Canadians are fighting a US war in Afghanistan. America can Boo Canada all they want...Canada will still stand beside them...and hopefully we'll all learn how to treat our friends.

Your numbers are way off. According to Wikipedia, Canadian casualties in WWI were about 65,000 deaths and 150,000 wounded, out of a total population of 7.2 million. That makes the casualty percentage of total population 3% if wounded are included. The article doesn't say how many Canadians fought in WWI, so I don't know the casualty percentage of those that fought, but it appears to be much less than the 60% you claim.
