Alternative tea party site: TeaPartyMoneyBomb.com

0 votes

An alternative Tea Party site I've been working on is at http://www.TeaPartyMoneyBomb.com

You may want to give this one out depending on the audience. This one may be a bit more understandable by the mainstream or Joe Sixpack. I think it's more inspiring. I also think the message it presents would play better in the media. If someone signs up there, it signs them up to the same list as the teaparty07.com (it's not a separate list of pledges), so don't worry about that.

One last comment Devron and then I will leave you to your task...I don't know the exact status of your site, but when I "google" tea party 07 your site is nowhere to be found..Good luck with your site !

on that little moving banner.... I would love the slogan...

Devon, I would love to see my little slogan I have been flinging around here posted.... I would love to see the words in caps "GIVE IT ALL FOR RON PAUL, DEC 16TH"
Just a suggestion, but it would make a great slogan for the Tea Party Money Bomb...

I feel like I am firing a bomb when I hit that donate button...

And I sat at my computer Nov 5th, with my finger on the donation button and said to myself "and take this!!! and take that!!! bomb that website with money!!! LOL, I had a blast that day.... as I think everyone did!
I am soooo excited about Dec 16th because all eyes will be turned to Ron Paul that day.... The Media knows about it, Ron Paul knows about it, all the meet-up groups know about it. The videos are blooming everyday about it...... KA BOOOM!!!! GIVE IT ALL FOR RON PAUL DEC 16TH..... its gonna be a $10 Million dollar day, I know it!!!!

I'm sorry

But this site is crashing my browser (Firefox, which is used by lots and lots of people). Can you not put streaming windows media junk on it? Thanks!

autostart

Happen to know the HTML to make it not auto start?

Right now it is:

thanks

Thanks, I'll work on it.

Devil

Why do you always make suggestions that will hurt the campaign..We've already had enough problems using the word "bomb"..This is a "tea party"..No wonder they considered banning you from posting !

agree completely with pajeff2

I also think that the idea of a "money bomb" is unfortunate.

A friend of mine didn't participate on Nov 5 on that account. Another friend of mine says Ron Paul is scary. I know it is just a word, but try to understand that we have no chance for success if we don't attract a significant slice of mainstream people.

Repeated use of the word "bomb" is not going to accomplish that. But if it makes you proud, go ahead. The 10,000 proud guys will make a nice 0.05% on the election day.

This word also gives a marvelous opportunity to all hostile journalists to use the word "terrorist". Yeah, they may use it jocularly, but it's there and that is a prety dangerous association. Not all voters have sense of humor.

It's happening

One site even posted an article about our blimp by saying "Ron Paul was going to terrorise us from the sky" !

Who is going to take that seriously?

Who is going to take that seriously, that a blimp terrorizes people? Come on.

Yes, let's not fly a blimp because the media will spin it because it's shaped like a bomb. We need to stop worrying about who is going to spin what. There's always some way to spin something negatively.

Reason

They are linking it to a movie where a blimp flew into a sports stadium

Only *one* person has had problems with the term Money Bomb

LOL - only one idiot Glenn Beck has had problems with the term Money Bomb - I think it will become the Trademark of the Ron Paul campaign. Remember we are the "Ron Paul Revolution", true its a peaceful revolution, only morons will draw the conclusion that a money bomb would be anything different than donations. We are going to make that term *historical* in nature and unique to Ron Paul's campaign and I dont see any harm in that! This is such a childish petty objection that really it is beneath me to even post an argument for it. DEVON likes it and its his website so he can do as he pleases.... I say go for it. If you think differently then email Devon... but the money bomb wording is another horse that has been beaten so much there is nothing but slime left (as another user put it)

I totally agree with you,

I totally agree with you, Devil. I use it every day when talking to people about Ron Paul and have NEVER heard any objection to the use. It's pretty obvious to anybody who stops to think for a second that it's metaphorical in nature, for crying out loud, and it has a VERY descriptive and catchy ring to it . Besides, that ship has definitely sailed! It was a bomb three weeks ago, it's a bomb now, and a bomb it will stay. That being said, anybody who DOES object to any part of it can donate any way that they want at all, just as long as they donate! All for one, and one for all!

Wrong

I've been all over the net and there's a lot of criticism of the word "bomb"..On one site they even compared Ron Paul to Tim McVeigh and his use of a bomb..A real stretch, but it was done neverless

But, really, so what? Yes,

But, really, so what? Yes, it's a stretch. People can see that, and if they can't, then once again, so what? The attacks will continue. We'll weather them. If not this, then something else made up. No sane person will think that the term "bomb" means anything but an explosive one-day donation. Hell, they even use it for an explosive play in football.
www.paulforronpaul.com

OMG, are they bombing the other teams now??

Oh My God... are football teams having to throw bombs at each other to destroy the other team to win.... what is this world coming to!!!???

Game

This is our future, not some "game"..People need to take us seriously and not think we're playing some "game"..Your "take this" and "take that" comments are what gets Paul supporters called "loony"

"A revolution without

"A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having!"
-V

Lighten up. Do a little dance when Ron Paul brings in 10 million. Go have fun when you're spreading the message of liberty. Brew some liberty. Enjoy some satire and catchy metaphors as we take our country back.

Money Bomb aint going nowhere.

money bomb

Money bomb is the standard term now for this kind of thing. The term isn't going away. Might as well capitalize on it. I think it's a mistake not to use it.

Other candidates have *tried* to have their own money bombs.

Yeah, and dont forget other candidates have tried to have their OWN money bombs too, but they fizzled. Someone said they were more like a firecracker day, I prefer to think more on terms of a stink bomb day.... that fizzled into nothing.... Those other grassroots people have *NO* idea how much time and trouble and emailing and word of mouth etc... went into Nov 5th... Its just not done overnight. That is why Dec 16th is going to be a MASSIVE SUCCESS because the timing is so great for more and more awareness of it to build excitement! Hell, I cant WAIT til Dec 16th, I will be glued to the computer that whole day and EMAILING everyone. More excitement= more funds flowing in. ITS A MONEY BOMB FOR DEVILS SAKE...

Devon - two toes up from D.A.

Good going Dude. Its obvious that the campaign is fallable as per that email they sent to everyone and then the email they had to respond to all the complaints. I think Ron Paul himself got a snicker out of explaining to press how Money Bomb was invented for his donation day.

another thing

I got the idea that something was wrong after the full page USA ad. There should have been more signups to the TeaParty07 site. I surmised that the problem was it was all about "the inflation tax." It just seems like a bizarre site and subject to average person. I bet if it were my site advertised in that, there would have been more signups.

OR

Or it may have been due to the fact that this is a holiday weekend and people are traveling, hosting relatives and busy shopping...

This website is not a mistake - its only more awareness!

Devon, I HIGHLY CONGRATULATE you on your website. It is great two have another website WORKING IN CONJUNCTION with www.teaparty07.com. I think you did a wonderful job and that you *do* get other points across that the tea party website misses. Please do not listen to any dissenters. Plus play with it, add to it, subtract from it, do whatever you want with it as its now YOUR website.

Thanks for making another wonderful place to visit for Dec 16th. AND KEEP THE MONEY BOMB- I think that this is going to be the TRADEMARK for the Ron Paul campaign. We are going to do MONEY BOMBS over and over and over again....

That's totally true. I don't

That's totally true. I don't care of a dozen, or even a hundred sites pop up advocating donations or what they call themselves as long as they please some people and make them want to donate. Don't let any criticisms stop you, for sure. There will often be criticisms for everything we try to do, but no Ron Paul supporter will try to stand in the way of anybody trying to further our cause.

Mistake

I think you're making a mistake doing this..There should be one and only one web site for the Tea party..You're just confusing people !

Agreed, No offense. How're

Agreed, No offense. How're we to know the real total of subscribers with two sites?

Support and Defend the Constitution!

Who knows what the total contributions will be!

Nobody is going to have ANY IDEA of what amount of money will roll in Dec 16th... remember only 17,000 people *signed up* to donate but 38,000 did! Alot of people do not want *any* type of spam from any website sent to them. Its a constant battle to get rid of it, just like junk mail. Nobody had *any* idea how much would come in.... nobody even thought more than $2 mil plus when we had a topic on that before the day... I think someone came up with $2.8 million for the highest - maybe one person say $3 mil because if we get close we will push it over just for the sake of it... and we pulled in $4.32 million.... so nobody is going to have ANY idea how much we are going to do.... but I am willing to bet if we get anywhere CLOSE to $10 Million.... people will redoubt or retriple their efforts to hit $10 Mil..... imagine the headlines:
RON PAUL THE TEN MILLION DOLLAR MAN....

NAH, there is no confusion.

Should there only be *ONE* video out there promoting Dec 16th. Should only one set of people be out there promoting Dec 16th? Nah, there can be thousands of websites out there promoting Dec 16th - all the donations lead to one place on one day www.ronpaul2008.com

other site sucks

The other site is terrible. People don't care about or understand the "inflation tax." All it's attracting is the hardcore Paul supporters. I think this one is more marketable.
