Dr. Paul on C-SPAN 3 Speaking to Sec. Clinton

Just happened to turn on CSPAN 3 and the house foreign affairs committee was on talking to Sec. Clinton and Dr.Paul was just called for 5 minutes. Hope someone can get the video up but he basically mentioned he was encouraged to see diplomacy being given a shot but wanted more action to end Iraq war.

At the end of her rebuttal to Dr.Paul she stopped to acknowledge Dr.Paul's supporters during the last primary. Apparently this was their first talking after the primary and she said she was delighted to see such enthusiasm from his suuporters and that he was the biggest advocate of diplomacy and it was good to see. Not that it changes anyones opinion of Clinton...but it was a good moment when you all get to watch it. The chairman even said something along the lines of "uh oh you're going to encourage him!"...seemed like Dr.Paul had a good laugh at it.

Thanks newt for the video link:

it's all BS that's what they pay her for

Analyze her answer.
Ron Paul told her, you're speaking but you're not acting.
And she twisted that into "lots has changed, lots more to go" which is a frequent tactic to distract listeners who aren't paying too much attention.
Then she compliments him to try to create some relationship with him for political gain (due to his success), so that we will see her in a better light, and perhaps to try to avoid more direct questioning of that sort - lastly because she just completely dodged the question ending with a compliment neutralizes any possible re-asking of the question.

Of course it was BS - but at least Dr. Paul could seize the

moment and enjoy the compliment regardless of who was doing the ass-kissing - HA! We can all take a huge lesson in Diplomacy from the good doctor.

I believe he asks his questions largely rhetorically, since he knows that the people he's dealing with heads might explode if they answered with actual directness and honesty.

Debbie

Yeah,,,

too bad she's such a blow-hard.

HRC

I would like to thank Hillary for those kind words. She might have been a AuH2O supporter earlier, although, we must remember that her senior college paper was allegedly on the topic of Saul Alinsky.

Unexpected,

but I'm glad Mrs. Clinton gave some praise to the good doctor by complimenting our enthusiasm. I think we saw a glimpse of what used to be a Goldwater Girl. However, I have to remain skeptical.

All in all...

I'm glad Dr.Paul got a "rise" in this. Well deserved and we should feel good knowing that for receiving a compliment (especially from Hillary) is above the norm.

Alex just said

there is another footage after this one where she kisses even more ass. Does anyone have that?

Cinton

I was such a supporter of Hillary's when she ran against Obama.... Now, I'm afraid, I recognize that she's just a politician like the others....(in the most negative sense of the term). Dr. Paul.... I know you won't succumb to her lame attempt at diplomacy by offering you an observation. Is she trying to placate you or distract you? Many realize how dejected, marginalized and disappointed you may often feel as a representative among such an illiterate, intellectually-challenged congress but please be reassured that your presence, Ron Paul, is known and appreciated around the world by folks who still believe in "freedom" and the long forgotten definition and tradition of "democracy".

He knows he has the respect

He knows he has the respect of the people who matter - regular citizens. Remember what happened to him on that first Fox debate with Guiliani? I think he felt rather dejected by the shoddy and shameful treatment he received by the neo-cons and the studio audience. After he left the set, he relates, that Kent Snyder told him not to lose heart because the people were voting him up as the winner in the Fox poll. So, I think we can safely assume that he knows he has widespread support outside the walls of Congress and that helps keep him going.

Weird...

Don't give him any ideas to run again???

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

i was sensing that

too.

Be very careful!

She and the rest of her ilk are just trying to hijack our movement.

Every time i see her face i

Every time i see her face i cannot believe anything she says

Great to see Dr.Paul being praised in public

& our Secretary of State asking for him to be more involved in the process.

I love Hillary!

She's great- especially when she and Tenzing made it to the top of Everest in '53.

It is sad about her prostate though.

What Hill was really thinking was,

"'I could tell you that you really won the election if we hadn't taken it away from you, ' but I'll just say, 'You had the most enthusiastic supporters,' cause I know he knows he really won and he is so gracious to have "let" us have it without causing a riot."'

ya

"we didn't beat you, we dodged you."

Well, she didn't really

Well, she didn't really answer his question like a true politician but rather dodging it by explaining what we already know and every1 knows it's bullshitting. How can a budget increase be a solution for anything? Sure they didn't order anymore f22, but they did ordered more f35s, so it's all bullshitting.

WOW! We'll take that well

WOW! We'll take that well deserved shout out!

She just scored some brownie points with me--but let's keep it real, she's still a Bilderberger.

hmm

well, she never said he was right, it sounded like she spoke about how they have already begun to "talk change", and maybe soon they'll begin to "walk change". but she made this up by complimenting him (not on his articulate and well-thought out positions) but on how neat it is that he can get supporters to "run down the highway" and then of course the chairman jokes that he is in fact wrong.
One thing though, Its nice to see people actually talking to Dr. Paul like they've actually heard of him. even if it is HIllary dodging the question.
