Predator Drones over Houston Texas (I am serious)

I know what your thinking. Its true.

Click on the links below. My father and I were so surprised he told me that I should post it onto the DailyPaul to see what you think.

I am a medical student who never drinks "Kool-Aid" and only uses "Tin Foil" for baking (well I have never baked a thing but if I did I might make a hat if the mood suited me. I keep all options on the table)!

This is the video:

I think I will send this to LewRockwell as well.

War on Drugs

The War on Drugs is the excuse to spy on Americans and use these drones..

Not terrorism.. But, of course potheads are now supporting terrorist according to Faux news.

Drones

These drones are flown from a base miles away like a video game.
A drone was used to kill a terrorist in Iraq, however, they are also equipt with cameras flying over Texas for a while now, 1-2 years I think.

This really isn't new news, even drudgereport.com had it as their headline.
Here's a breitbart article:
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8LGBFB80&show_artic...

hmmm, curious and at the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, there may be a cover up take a look:

now click on the link entitled:
Zawahiri Was Target in U.S. Drone Attack on Religious School in Pakistan...

Looks like the article was deleted due to credibility issues...or was it something else?

I'm trying to find the

I'm trying to find the article but I'm not having much luck. Maybe someone else will remember.

I thought it was about 1-2 years ago that one of the California communities (LA, Oakland, San Diego) purchased a drone to search for Marijuana grow operations along the mountainsides. The people of that community sued over their use and if I remember correctly they won. If I remember, the city was forced to cease the use of the drone.

Anyone else remember this and maybe can find a link?

I don't like the use of drones since their main purpose is to fly within our borders watching who knows what without warrants or oversight. I don't like the use of these things at all.

It's a "ScanEagle" not a "Predator"

The UAV shown is a ScanEagle, made by Insitu, in Washington state, not a "Predator".

It is a very capable little UAV. It is unfortunate because things like this could be very useful but the HPD is just as likely to use it for improper surveillance of the locals.

If you're interested in the developing technology and legislation to support a police state, here's a resource:

The story of the police drones was posted here, and there is more to learn.

See below about the firefighters and even further below for the helium airships. It's not science fiction, folks.

No Drones

The Bush family let their flying monkeys out. But I do worry about a piece that was on the news this weekend, seems Homeland Security is asking Firefighters and EMT's to report on items they might see in our homes during routine emergency calls.Items included are flight manuals, chemicals or containers,Items that could possibly be used to build bombs(that could mean household cleaning supplies) the list is endless. The reasoning for this is the fact fire and medical crews need no warrant to look for evidence and can be used as an extension of law enforcement. Its gonna get worse!

from the language

From the language of S 1959, the Homegrown Terrorism Bill, I wouldn't be surprised if the firefighters and EMTs were also being asked to look for evidence of activity to advance political, religious, or social change...items like the Constitution, the Bible, firearms, etc.

From S 1959:

`(1) COMMISSION- The term `Commission' means the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism established under section 899C.

`(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.

`(3) HOMEGROWN TERRORISM- The term `homegrown terrorism' means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

`(4) IDEOLOGICALLY BASED VIOLENCE- The term `ideologically based violence' means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual's political, religious, or social beliefs.

Is that us?

You have to wonder how violence will be defined. In a domestic spat a spouse can claim that yelling is violence. As for religion,if other than Christian materials are present would that make someone a enemy of the state. Ordinary items found in homes could be considered evidence(a gas can in your garage plus the laundry soap in your basement can make bad stuff,if combined) How about the Ron Paul sign in your yard? Our leaders have pushed fear on us since the 50's Anyone remember air raid drills in school during the 50's&60's ? As long as the people are in fear they will look to the great Oz to take care of them.

This is happening already

Homeland security is testing a program where they train firefighter and EMS to search for things in your home. Specifically because they are not required to have a search warrant. This also includes state inspectors.

I believe it is being done in NYC presently.

They also were toying with the idea of using cable tv repairmen, people like that to search your house. They are in and out of houses all the time so they would be very useful to the govt.

I don't know how to post links, but here is the link to the above story I just mentioned. This just was posted the other day.

Big Brother

It is undoubting that our own government sees fit to spy on us. They pass laws and are passing laws to the effect of George Orwell's 1984.

They want to train firefighters to spy on the public.

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread317164/pg1

WASHINGTON (AP) - Firefighters in major cities are being trained to take on a new role as lookouts for terrorism, raising concerns of eroding their standing as American icons and infringing on people's privacy.

Unlike police, firefighters and emergency medical personnel don't need warrants to access hundreds of thousands of homes and buildings each year, putting them in a position to spot behavior that could indicate terrorist activity or planning.

Probably has rights too

They probably gave the drones rights as well, like they do the police dogs. Shot at at drone and it would be considered assult on a police officer. Second step in the Terminator/Human wars.( thats a joke)

They gotta train somewhere.

Are there any military bases in the vicinity?

Predator Drones over Houston Texas

Well, that doesn't surprise me! The Neo-cons are nothing but fascists, who will soon want their own little Hitler to boot!

After Ron Paul is elected, we will need to get back to work, this time RECALLING the worst offenders of the constitution, those Congressman and Senators who voted for the Patriot Act without even reading it first. Remember, they worked for us, those who lost sight of that need to be removed from office early, through recalls. The meet up groups will still be in place, and will be perfect for this job.

Perspective

I used to wonder why the Jews were willing to walk right into the death camp "showers." I guess I still wonder about it, but I am no longer surprised that they did.

Tech

The camera technology used in these drones could definetly infringe on privacy rights. Personally, I'm not a big fan of these camera technologies being used in the name of law or hightway enforcement.

And in the vein of personal liberties have you heard about the Boston Police going door to door in search of guns? http://youtube.com/watch?v=TdPH-MDqtlY

How about the new HR1955 bill that passed congress 400 - 6 and is now before the senate. RP didn't vote on it. I wished he had, b/c I'm sure he would have given his reliable 'no.' Does anyone know why he didn't vote on it? Here is a worthwhile discussion on this "homegrown terrorist prevention act":

That's not a good sign.

That's not a good sign. When was the last time the HPD read the 4th amendment?

It doesn't seem much different than

Police helicopters, I just hope they can't hook a taser to it.

Who are they watching?

Are these in Saudi Arabia? No
Are they on the Mexican and Canadian borders? No

They are watching Americans in American cities. Yet they work for us. But they dont seem to think so.

I read that drones were

I read that drones were authorized on the mexican border now.

Anyway, I worked with Predator's in Iraq. They are nothing special. A police helicopter is more sophisticated. The only thing special about the Predator is that it can be silent and unmanned. I actually support their use on the border. I think it needs to be guarded. Now, if they are using them on Americans, open fire.

www.ronpaul2008.com

If you watched the video you would see...

... that these are being used exclusively on American citizens. Being unmanned they can cover the entire United States and who controls them would be completely unknown... at first the local cops do then who? Black Water?

Yes they CAN use these on the borders... instead of making these things for Americans who do not need to be watched... we should have every one of these totally covering our borders.

Pentagon Envisions Fleet Of Air Ships Guarding U.S. Coastlines

On board would be surveillance sensors, video cameras and a wireless communications package. Unmanned air ships could stay aloft for days, even months, depending on the mission and the altitude, relaying suspicions to operators on the ground.

Holy ship...

It's almost comical, if it wasn't so damned scary.

I'm not sure if the 2nd amendment is enough to protect us from our own technology anymore.

Most of the aircraft brought

Most of the aircraft brought down in Vietnam was by small arms fire.

the above article/video

From the above article and video, it sounds like these airships are out of range for small arms fire, and resistant to the effect of bullets.
