**Call To Action** -- Bring the National Guard Home!

0 votes

As we have heard in various postings over the past few days, National Guard troops are being sent overseas in record numbers as Obama is trying to increase the forces in Afghanistan by 400,000.

Now consider that the National Guard is truly our homeland defense. They answer not to the Federal government but to the governors of the individual, sovereign states. International warfare is to be waged by the armed forces, but it is the National Guard that is being called now. Why?

If you are not familiar with the region, here is a map of Afghanistan. Note that the country is landlocked, and that its primary neighbors are 1) Iran, 2) Pakistan, and 3) former Soviet Republics -- none of these countries are currently friendly toward the United States. This has all of the appearances of a trap.

Why is it that when state sovereignty is a major issue and there is a violent uprising on our nation's southern border that we are sending our defensive troops overseas into a region where they can be cut off? You might call me an alarmist. I say that I am simply being prudent.

We need to get our National Guard troops home -- now.

Call your governor. Call your state representatives. Express your concern that our sovereign states be protected -- especially in those states that have passed sovereign resolutions and laws. This could very well be the setup to establish an authoritarian rule by our Federal government -- the culmination of the PATRIOT Act, Homegrown Terrorism, and the myriad of other attacks on our civil liberties.

Think about it.

Once most of the national guard is over seas who do you think...

will protect this country. Obamas one million youth snitches and the border line brainless patrol and of course the ultimate protector FEMA.
Anyone who cannot see what is happening deserves neither freedom or safety. We all better prepare to defend our selves at all cost. Total martial law and government dictatorial reign is on its way.
Get to a weapons trainning program now. Teach your family defensive drills at home and prepare for emergencies away from home. This dosent cost much and takes less time then one might think.
To preserve freedom one must be able to fight for it.
Learn the laws and the rules. Get involved! Time is short. Do not fall for the Optimism opium going around. This is serious. Ignore msm brainwasing tactics.

A Marine General & Japanese Admiral: Who will protect America ?

General Smedley D. Butler, on training a man to fight: "If he was defending his home, it would take about an hour."

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto (Japan - Pearl Harbor architect): "You cannot invade the mainland United States, there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

It is interesting, Richard...

that Dr. Paul in his address on the 20th at Wake Forest (see videos Ron Paul at Wake Forest thread) mentioned Smedley Butler's quote..."War is a racket." Do you think he is secretly reading your posts? I would feel honored.
You lucky dog.

Agreed.

Agreed.

Gentlemen, my sincere thank you

My problem was, I thought like Smedley, although nowhere as knowledgeable. I would be lost without real Marine Generals, the anti-war hero's Butler, Shoup and Zinni.

Do you want to see something really ironic ? The wannabee Marines on-line at Leatherneck.com disparaging me and Smedley (my screen name here is 10thzodiac) >> http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42846

Remember these guys that are counter-posting IMO are wannabees and shills. I know two (2) of them that used pre-existing medical conditions to get out of the Corps rather than stick out their enlistment.

There are leaders and followers...

I checked out "Leatherneck" (first time) and wasn't impressed at all. You took a lot of crap from "followers" my friend. Most of those kind of guys have never been fired at and are only "thumping their chests." I wouldn't think twice about it. It takes all kinds. I think the real story is about educating our young people not to get caught up in the lies. You'll note that the guys who "really put up" know that "thumping your chest" just don't cut it and the experiences that they have gone through should not be brought down on our kids again. Ever..

The Marine Corps $ponsors their poolie forum (recruitment)

and in my opinion the web-site is just a recruitment tool to Shanghai young naive poor kids into becoming cannon fodder.

They had everything from non-military Jew spouses, rapture Christians, and Masons trying to silence me from truthing.

Of course they banned me for life.

A blessing in disguise...

:)

Homeland defence without federal risk

If you want to participate in the defence of your state, without risk of being nationalized. Join your state military reserve. The main mission is to help the National Guard train and to provide state military force in the event of nationalization of the Guard. In the mean time you get training and an opportunity to influence individual Guard members.

YES!

A fantastic idea. This is an idea that is win/win for everyone. The National Guard should be on US soil and absolutely nowhere else. Slow steady pressure on our reps could get this done. Are there any bills in Congress on this issue?

"Bankers are putting poison in our food and water." - Psychotic dirtbag conspiracy theorist fake-libertarian, exploiter of Dr. Paul, Alex Jones

I have been trying...

to avoid this thread all day because this is a very hot topic with many legitimate sides to it. I'll only say this...as a former Marine, we are compelled to follow orders under threat of the firing squad (especially during wartime). Do you remember the "execution of Pvt. Slovik" during WW2. He was greased for a lot less. I will say; however, that since WW2, I don't know of any other executions by Americans on Americans but, many were put in jail. To avoid these barbaric practices 1) I would not join up 2) Discourage your friends and family also 3) Say no to the draft when Rangel gets his way.

Two Medals of Honor Marine says:

"War is just a racket... I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else." General Smedley D. Butler

The presence of the Marines in China 1927 had nothing to do with the government’s professed concern about the safety of Americans living in China. It was to defend Standard Oil property and profits. Vietnam War critic, David M. Shoup, future Marine Corps Commandant, reached the same conclusion – the government endangered the lives of those Marines to protect Standard Oil.

In 1930, General Butler was the senior-ranking major general in the Marine Corps and the “logical choice as the next commandant” but he was passed over. Navy Secretary Charles Francis Adams and President Hoover were incensed over his very public vocalizations about using military intervention for the benefit of big busines.

I have always been proud to have been a Marine....

but I am ashamed of having participated in the lies.

Semer Fi.

Yeah, I liked being a pirate too !

I'm just pissed they started handing out medals, I preferred booty (smile)

"Per Mare, Per Terram"

Per mare?

I am too lazy and hungover to look that up....what's it mean?

"By Sea, By Land" It is the

"By Sea, By Land"

It is the motto of the Royal Marines.

There were three U.S. Marine motto's before Semper Fidelis

including "Fortitudine" (meaning "with courage") antedating the War of 1812, "Per Mare, Per Terram" ("by sea, by land"; presumably inherited from the British Royal Marines, whose motto it already was), and, up until 1843, there was also the motto "To the Shores of Tripoli".

Pretty soon it is going to be: "Ooh-rah!"

Owing to its relatively recent origins, it is less common for Marines who served in Vietnam or earlier to be familiar with "Oorah!", but most post-Vietnam Marines will have learned it throughout their careers.

A shortened version of "Oorah!" can come out as a short, sharp, monosyllabic guttural "Er!"

Ahhhhh...

Thanks.

That is why it is important

That is why it is important to get the National Guard home. They follow the orders of the state governor. If we can get them back into the states, they can, under orders, defend the states against the federal government if necessary -- especially in those states that are pushing state sovereignty right now. If nothing else, it will give the powers-that-be more pause before taking actions against the citizens of this country.

GOVERNORS orders

NOW there is another scarier thought.you-no

totally agree.

.

What if?

If we send the guard to Afganistan and while they are "detained" there is a domestic "attack"? They could use regular army or worse yet foreign troops to impose martial law here.

On a moral level these folks signed up to defend this country (domestic) not to fight empire wars in the middle east.

This is just dead wrong.

It can't be...can it?

It can't be...can it?

Bump

To keep it in people's minds....

No thanks.

Leave 'em where they are "defending freedom". Less morons to kill us in the US and run the FEMA camps.

They're trained to follow orders and would think nothing of shooting people that have been labeled "terrorists".

Don't put much value in the "oath keepers" either. They're a bunch of killers too. And, yes, they would fire on citizens. Remember- most of the military types aren't smart enough to think for themselves relative to Constitutional matters, right and wrong, and the value of human life. Most are public high school graduates.

The best you could hope for is that they'll be polite to you while doing their job of arresting you or confiscating your "food" supply.

Remember Michael New? He was that guy back in the '90s that wouldn't wear the blue beret. Good for him. But he didn't object to going to an undeclared war in Bosnia did he? No sir, he didn't.
