Does anyone know EXACTLY what we are supposed to be following?
»

Supposedly its anything
Supposedly its anything short of death, so chopping off fingers, pulling teeth, or any painful act so long as it doesn't bring you close to death is A-OK with the head honchos.
See
below.
there need to be rules for "Prisoners of war"
laws which prohibit the mistreatment,malnutrition of pow's

There is no beautiful way to win a war
War is what it is,and after declaring war,and defeating an imminent enemy,we must dismantle the war machine along with its "policies".
the Geneva convention is invalid.
the geneva convention outlaws the use of "flamethrowers" in combat, yet they had to be used in ww2 to clear foxholes and bunkers .

You want to torture people the way we have been doing since this fake war has started?? Then you must be prepared to reap what you sow. Don't whine and cry about the "evil doers" when they come back and hit you in the mouth.
Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War
To this end the following acts are and shall remain prohibited at any time and in any place whatsoever with respect to the above-mentioned persons:
(a) Violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture;
(b) Taking of hostages;
(c) Outrages upon personal dignity, in particular, humiliating and degrading treatment;
(d) The passing of sentences and the carrying out of executions without previous judgment pronounced by a regularly constituted court affording all the judicial guarantees which are recognized as indispensable by civilized peoples.

Thank you
for the info.
Nothing that can be "defined" as torture is allowed.

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !
What is
not defined as "torture?"
So
if we capture enemies, we just simply ask them questions?? Can't do anything to them?
Before you ask that question ask yourself a few more .
Are they really enemies ?
Who told you they are enemies ?
What basis do you have to believe the people that told you this ?
If you were called the enemy would you be ?
If you were being tortured would you still feel the same way as you do now ?
Over a million two hundred thousand Iraqi's were murdered and millions of others were displaced during Bush's administration that told you / us hundreds of lies.
Do you honestly believe that all of these people meant anyone any harm ?
Now ask the question again ?

I am asking
about the legitimate ones. I don't condone water boarding or all the sick sexual crap that homosexual Bush had them do. If you had a legitimate enemy that you are 100% sure is the enemy, do you do some kind of sleep deprivation or anything like that?
You arrest and hold them...
Then give them treats for giving information that proves valid. You can make a persons life pretty bad when they are locked in a cage. I feel; however, that you are not looking at the big picture. In Afghanistan U.S. forces posted signs stating that if anyone turned in or gave information leading to the capture of Taliban soldiers, there was a 100 dollar reward (or some monetary reward) so the Taliban captured their resistance in local towns, villages, and farms and turned them into U.S. forces to be taken away and most likely tortured. Their only crime, being in their home when the U.S. forces extracted them to take them away from their families and put them into camps... By the way, the Taliban and their supporters loved the cash gains made by their enemies, our tax dollars...

This does not make us safer, nor does it make friends across the globe. Cheney states that to torture you must intend on causing physical harm, but that is not what the Geneva Convention states as you can clearly read. It is understandable that people would say "They cut our soldiers heads off, but were not allowed to torture?" and the reality is that had our soldiers not been in their country that was being attacked and devastated by our bombs, then chances are the beheadings never would have happened. This is simply my opinion, and I am by no means a supporter of terrorists, violence, or any of that, but I am a supporter of right and wrong, and in this instance to torture 50 people to get information out of 1 does not make sense to me, as I always like to compare things to "What if it was me or my family", and If my wife and kids were bombed and I had done nothing, I would cheer the fact that the ones responsible were accessible so I could cause as much harm as possible. This does not make every Iraqi that attacked an American a terrorist, for some, it makes them human.....
