Where did you go on Saturday for the nationwide End the Fed rallies? How was the turnout? What's the word on what happened? Any local / national media present?
Monday April 27th (today) is Audit the Fed! Melt the Switchboard Day! Today we follow up our nationwide End the Fed! rallies with an "Audit the Fed! Melt the Switchboard Day". Call in and get EVERYONE you know to also call in to their Congressional Representatives.

Let's focus particularly on the members of the House Financial Services Committee, and also call to PRAISE and APPLAUD those Representatives who have Co-Sponsored HR 1207.

I didn't call anyone today (04/27) but last night I sent out over 100 faxes using an online fax service, including to most non-co-sponsors on the House Financial Services Committee and to a number of other influential people in the House.

I still don't have my system setup yet.
We should start faxing daily on the faxzero.com site for support of HR1207.
Would anyone create a new or modified flyer? I think now showing how many members are in support of a certain date will get some attention.
Remember, you can send two free faxes per day. You just need Michael's PDF and attach it to the web form and it's good. This is how I chipped away for almost two months at my congressman. He is now signed on.

Ralph Hall, R-TX signed on today!
At least a few of us have been regularly calling our Rep. Ralph Hall district 4 Texas. As of Friday he hadn't "looked at it yet". We called today and guess what?! He's decided to co-sponsor HR 1207. She said they'd received a lot of calls today! I sent an update to my lists telling the good news!

I talked with four people, in the DC and
local offices of my rep. None of them had a clue what HR1207 was. Even after I told them, each said he/she would have to look it up. I gave a brief explanation why Rep. Lee should support it. One of the flunkies said somebody will get back to me tomorrow. I'll be surprised if I get a call, will follow up until I get a clear explanation why Lee is not on top of this, and why not supporting it.

I have an appointment tomorrow to go to his District Office and deliver the petitions to him.

I called quite a few and got the response
affirmation: President Paul
that they still had to review the bill. I responded that they sure were quick to say yes to the bailout $$ and reminded them that Obama wants a transparent government and auditing the fed would be a great place to start. I went on to say that HR1207 was truly a no-brainer.

so i just watched the schoolhouse rock cartoon on how a bill becomes a law cuz ... well i'm lazy... my question is tho, at what point do we start contacting the white house to get mr obama to sign the bill should it get that far?
i'm thinking that the conventional answer is that "it's too early to start calling the president since the bill hasn't made it out of the committee yet" but i'm thinking that a full court press (house, senate and pres simultaneously) would help.

I think it would be a good idea to get him on board right away. Why not? It would draw attention to the bill and draw support from the Democrates should Obama come on board. We row the boat, Obama takes a ride and Ron Paul as Captain takes us in the right direction.

Congressman Bilirakis (R), 9th District FL, still has not signed
on. I faxed him a couple of weeks ago and got no response. He said when asked about a week ago on a local radio show that he tended to be philosophically in favor of it but would need to read the bill. I called his office today and a volunteer wanted to know if I was in favor or opposed to the bill. So they are taking numbers and I guess that does influence (hopefully) his support. I will call again tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with some lady in his office. When I ask if McHenry planned on backing this bill..I was told he has no plans to and sees no reason why he should...
I told the lady ...Well its like this...At the first of next month my husband and I are filing bankruptcy (which is true)..Now we have to let the government see all of our records, and how we spend our money right..She agreed ...I said..ok its only fair we see their records!..She disagreed..
Through out the chat..I told her where I live is facing 17% Unemployment..people have lost their jobs, homes, everything. But the Fed still gets to spend how it wants..and can print money anytime they want to. Its not fair..We're sick of paying for it. I ask her...Do you like paying taxes?..She was silent..I told her we dont..But being we have to..we have the right to know what we're paying for...She got ruffled and got off the phone.

You Do Not Have to file
You Do Not Have to file bankruptcy. We have talked about this in the past few weeks. Send me an e-mail to say 'hi', I will send you links to several companies that can #1 eliminate your debt #2 remove 100% of all negatives from your credit reports #3 do it all within 12-16 months #4 do it for about the same price as an attorney (filing bankrupcty) #5 takes payments (unlike an attorney).
Not so sure about #2
The only way to remove a tradeline is if the debt was wrongly placed or fraud. Same with people who have a ton of inquiries, they're just on there as a statement of fact. The FCRA date is 7yrs regardless for most debts.
Now you could get them all paid, but the tradeline would still be on the credit report, just marked as paid. I don't think people need that kind of "help". The money these people get for "negotiating" your debts is ridiculous.
Just call your creditors (or most likely collection agency by now) and ask for a settlement, you would most likely get it. Most agencies are in liquidation mode right now.
