Our Savior, Newt Gingrich

Yes, just when our cause appeared lost, a savior appears on the horizon.

He calls for an open debate in every high school and on every college campus nation wide.
Of course he (and we) can assume that Truth will prevail.
Otherwise why would such champion of liberty like Congressman Gingrich be calling for this dialogue?

If Newt be for us, who can be against us?

(End of irony.)

Newt Gingrich is a Council on Foreign Relations darling and a Neo-Conservative slimeball of the first order.

He is a straw man for the Conspiracy.
They WANT this debate defined on their terms.
And they want HIM as the spokesman for "our" side.

They want the choices to be between those who acknowledge the existence of climate change brought on by human activity who are also in favor of clean renewable energy versus those who deny the existence or the severity of climate change who, "of course", favor continued dependence upon fossil fuels. (Hence the chants at the Republican National Convention of "Drill, Baby, Drill!")

Pick either side and freedom loses and They win.

We should favor clean, abundant, and potentially "limitless" energy sources like nuclear energy.
And WE should be leading with ANY OTHER non-fossil fuel energy source as the clearly preferable alternative to Their carbon-based global tyranny.

If we let them bog us down in a debate over parts per million of methane, stratospheric particulates, antarctic ice core CO2 measurements, and sunspots; WE LOSE!

Personally, I would MUCH rather be showing people how nuclear, or solar, or wind, or geothermal, or biofuel energy sources would solve global-warming rather than debating about whether it even exists.

We could rip away Their "Earth-friendly" facade, attract at least some of the tree-huggers to OUR cause, and distance ourselves from the traitorous Neo-conservative likes of Bush, McCain, and Gingrich.

What's not to like?

First of all, is this an attempt to go back to the past? and second, excuse me but blech! Please somebody hand me a paper bag, I feel like I'm going to toss my cookies!

This is ten times more efficient than current nuclear reactors

I haven't seen anyone post or talk about Hyperion Power Generation mini-nuclear reactors. Anybody care to check it out?

Newt is an admitted adulterer and hypocrite

While Newt was impeaching Clinton for cheating on Hillary he was also having an affair with a woman who wasn't his wife. Mr Pot please allow me to introduce you to Mr Kettle.

What "miracles" hath Newt wrought?

Obama, no doubt, hath performed many miracles, I'm sure thou wouldest agree.

But, this nave Gingrich guy; what hath he accomplish-ed? Yeah, I thinketh he is a false prophet and denieth the truth of The Messiah.

I am 100% against

nuclear power...I, however, am in favor of solar, wind, algae, hemp et cetera energy/fuel sources...

100% against subsidy

100% in favor of complete liability.

Repeal Price/Anderson, cut loose Archer Daniels Midland, end all other subsidies and restrictions, and let all competing forms of energy production see if they can pay their own way.

If you can't find a market for your hemp oil diesel fuel, then that's tough, maybe you'll go out of business.
If you can't find a bookie willing to insure your nuke plant against possible future liabilities, then that's tough, maybe you'll never even break ground.

On the other hand, if you can make it in the market, great! More money for you, more energy for us!

Nuclear maybe

Nuclear is the only one of that batch that is currently cost effective compared to other electrical energy sources. The others are hugely wasteful and more environmentally damaging than the rest, especially wind. They take up massive amounts of steel, like a battle cruiser, which pollutes the earth to manufacture. And they are a huge eyesore on the landscape while generating relatively little energy compared to a dam or nuclear plant (which both have a smaller footprint per energy production). Solar panels also take up land space and the toxic chemicals required to produce them are astounding. There's a reason they are only feasible with vast government grants. It's a fantasy-land.

Gingrich: Wolf in Sheeps Clothing

Gingrich and other neocon Republicans are trying to get control of the Tea Party movement, and divert them into foolish pursuits like "term limits" or a balanced budget amendment. We need to keep this from happening.

We must keep the Tea Parties focused on the Federal Reserve as the author of inflation and virtually all of our economic woes. We need to educate the American people as to the real cause of the terrorist threat: our own foreign policy.

Don't let the Tea Party movement fizzle. Keep the neocons out!
