Time To Reinvent The GOP With The "Ron Paul" Liberty Mission
Face it. The Republican Party is now in shambles.
It is in a state of total disintegration. A total meltdown. The last 8 years of fascist hell, orchestrated-lies, War & bloodshed, corporate-corruption, human-torture, bankruptcy, debt, poverty, and police-state tactics, all have just left the GOP now without anything left to justify its own existence.
All the old arguments, such as low-taxes and cutting-spending now have no resonance anymore coming from this same Neocon crowd, that took the Nation from an inherited budget surplus into Trillions of dollars of Debt, and presided over the shakedown of American taxpayers to transfer their money right into the pockets of the corrupt Banking Oligarchs and Wall Street swindlers.
Even the once influential propaganda voices of Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc. are now seen almost universally today as merely pathetic and irrelevant.
So the American political system is now transforming from a crooked "Two-Party" duopoly (with slightly different emphasis) , to one dominant Party, and one decaying shadow (of a Party).
This is the perfect opportunity now for Ron Paul to assert himself as the new voice, and the new leader of the GOP, and rebrand the Party around the Ron Paul Liberty agenda and platform. Ron Paul needs to say that the current pro-War, pro-Torture, religious-extremist, pro-Corporate-power, anti-Working-Class GOP base, and their propagandists are the opposite of the values that America stands for, and have no place anymore in our Country. He should announce that he is now the (self-appointed) leader of the new Republican Party and say to the current leadership that they have destroyed the Party, and only the Libertarian message can now possibly remake it into something politically relevant again.
What if there was a movement to make Ron Paul Chairman of the RNC? This would give Paul the opportunity to promote Liberty-oriented candidates to the House and Senate, and rebrand the Party platform around the Liberty agenda. This is just one idea.
So what are the other ways in which Ron Paul can get a hold of the actual machinery of the Republican Party and shape it around the Liberty agenda?
Trying to run for President as "an outsider" when the whole Party infrastructure and machinery is corrupt (and against you) will always be a steep hill to climb. But with the GOP now rapidly disintegrating, and left without any message, it is the perfect time for Ron Paul to stage a Coup 'd Etat on the GOP, and just take it over the reigns.
Suggestions?

The neocons have destroyed the GOP
All you're doing is empowering an independent movement that is free to argue against Obama... who is just another Bush.

Run for GOP Precinct Chairman
Run for local party positions, organize takeover one county at a time.
BINGO!
This is where it starts...
Sign up to become Precinct Chair in your precinct. Just go to your county GOP office and let them know.
If the Precinct Chair is open (no chairperson) then you fill out the paper work and Wa-La. You're the Chairperson.
If there is a Chairperson, you will have to run a campaign against them. This basically entails making a few yard signs and going door-to-door... Which doors you ask? Well... Go to your local Election Office and ask for a record set of Registered Voters in your precinct WITH HISTORY.
The with history is important because now you can see who voted in the primaries for the last "X" number of years. THESE are the doors you knock on.
It has been experienced that the "current" precinct chairs have never ever once knocked on the door of a neighbor.
After visiting the people from the data you collected, find out the voting location for the primaries and BE THERE with a flyer of who you are and why you are running... They'll remember you and vote for you.
It is a proven plan that has worked here and will work where-ever you are. We plan on putting into full gear next cycle.
Oh, and once you're a Chairperson, they HAVE to let you speak at the Executive Committee meetings... My favorite part of the process.
