AND SCREAM HECK NO! IT VIOLATES THE CONSTITUTION! If they pass this bill, you and every Ron Paul supporter will personally canvass against them. Here is the info, please TAKE TIME to call - I know your really busy, but this bill can be used against people in a number of disgusting ways. You may want to note to them that a crime is a crime is a crime. It doesn't matter why it was done, it matters that it was committed.

Let them know that RP supporters will canvass against them if they agree to this insult to the Constitution! This is a major step towards a total Police State, so please take 10 minutes out of your day TODAY and please, please call and better yet email your senators and demand that they don't pass this.

W just need to learn to ignore laws that are for "some" and not for others.
Piss on 'em. I might add, that we can call everybody for this but, what are we going to do, challenge every law on the books by going through congress? Most of them haven't read the constitution anyway.
There are so many "dumb ass" laws that it is better just to simply "ignore" them. Recall, that a law "under color of law" is not a law at all.

Does this mean that verses in the Bible that speak negatively on sodomy can not be spoken in church or preached in public or spoken in debate or spoken/written in forum like this? What would the government do to such an offender? Is this the beginning of the end for free speech?

Such an offender would more than likely be tased and jailed.

The man who inspired me to help get Ron Paul elected has given up on America. He left his self employment for months and spent thousands. We passed out flyers and walked through the busy streets of Petoskey MI. during tourist season with a huge banner. We set up a booth at a fair on the marina and were told to take it off public property. This man turned his garage into a banner-sign factory for Ron Paul and sold affordable banners on the web. Countless hours and effort. He escorted Ron Paul from the Pellston,MI. airport to the Macinaw Island for the big debates there. He set up a voters fair at the fairgroud and also had a booth at the fair he he ran with his family, I helped.
I live in Iowa now and called him up concerning HR1207. He asked me if he could sing a song about the hope for America.
He sang "Well its too late baby now its too late, though we really did try to make it..."
America is gone

The article is talking about people/groups that specifically target and assault others based on a victim's sexual orientation, gender identity or mental or physical disability -- nothing to do with free speech.

All crimes are "hate crimes" in my opinion and I see no reason to group people or make special laws.

A countries morality determines its future.

DOES NOT FOLLOW CANADAS hate speech laws. The Canadian Government regularily monitors churches with governmental spies that listen for preachers or teachers who would state what the Bilbe says about sodomy. I do not think a RP sodomite would run to Big Brother to enact laws but others would and have done so in Canada. Christianity, at least the Bible believing brand, will be persucuted through the legal avenue against this kind of free speech.

You think I protest to much. Why are you concerned about my free speech? You enjoy yours and I enjoy mine. Lets keep Big Brother out of it. Agree?
