He didn't mention running.

He talked about:

- believing in the importance of absolutes. His example was believing in the importance of the Bill of Rights and not compromising on the any of our inalienable rights.
- Thomas Pain calling government a necessary evil
- how the founders disliked democracy and wanted a replublic
- the history of government attack on free speech starting with the alien and sedition acts under John Adams
- how opponents of WW1 such as Eugene Debs were imprisoned
- how the interstate commerce clause was used to interfere with states rights
- how this law was used against a wheat farmer who grew wheat for his own consumption within his own state because his crop could potentially affect wheat prices somewhere.
- how the federal government brought a case against a woman in California who grew marijuana for her medical problem and in accordance with her own states laws. He used this as an example of how the federal government overides states laws
- how the modern conservative movement originated with Barry Goldwater. He read a quote where Goldwater said that his platform was based on not what he would do but what laws he would roll back or eliminate.
- how Reagan made good speeches about limiting the size of government and reducing taxes. Taxes were reduced but military spending increased.
- the Grace Commisions report in 1984 on waste in government. One example was a $500 hammer purchased by the military.
- how conservatives do not have a good reputation of following through on their rhetoric.

In summary, he laid out the historical foundation for liberty and the slow and steady erosion of our freedoms by government. He concluded that we all have to get involved in whatever way we can instead of simply looking to our political leaders.
