Voting is stupid
Why waste your time trying to get a libertarian to run against Lugar? In fact, why vote at all? All you are doing is condoning the process. I say boycott ALL elections and start ignoring and even breaking all stupid laws whenever possible. That is much more revolutionary than trying to get some libertarian to beat an entrenched statist.

Why worry?
There will have to be the "straw that breaks the camels back" before we can take back our country. Why not this? They should know that the people will not stand for this. So, I say, bring it on.

What is the point of
What is the point of reporting law abiding gun owners to foreign governments? What do those foreign governments gain from this?
I can see no other purpose of any other government knowing who has legal guns other than to know what they might be potentially up against if they were to invade.
Giving foreign governments this information definitely makes us less secure as a nation.
Remember what that Japanese general (or whatever rank) said back during WWII. It was something about not being able to invade the American mainland because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass...

Look, it's been quite apparent for a while now
that the control-freaks and tyrants ARE going to do everything that they can to enslave you, or kill you, depending on what their mood is that day.
And they will not stop unless you stop them.
They are not going to "get religion", or "pangs of conscience" and decide that they've been "tyrannical enough already".
They are going to go all the way.
So, it seems that it's gonna come to a conflict, that THEY will bring on us, no matter how much we try to comply or avoid their oppression. And this seems to be crystal-clear.
It's only a matter of WHEN it actually comes, and not IF.
If people don't draw the line and stop them, it's over.
I hate to have to say it, but that's the way it is.

Question for all of you (and myself)
Sometimes I fear this death by bureaucracy of 1000 cuts will so gradual that the majority will never resist. I think the powers that be are smart enough no to do an all out grab, but will whittle our freedoms down so slowly, we won't feel justified in resisting, and when we eventually do, our numbers will be too small.
So what do YOU do if say in the future when laws change, officers show up at your door to inspect your guns, make sure they are all unloaded and locked up and registered and you are in violation of these and the penalty is jail time? Is this the moment we resist with violence or do we acquiesce and meet the new regulation?

I was hoping for the Libertarian candidate to beat Lugar in 2006. He was Lugar's only opponent, I think he got a little over 12% and came close to winning a county. I remember last year when Obama mentioned Lugar as a possible cabinet member.
I just wrote my republican state senator asking her to
